Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Fairies? Ugh, call the Reds!
3rd pov
In the Magical Forest, which was once full of peace and calm, with animals living together peacefully, it was now gradually becoming a place filled with death, with birds becoming the only beings not yet becoming targets.
A being fully outfitted in intimidating armor walked through the pile of animal corpses that were surrounding him, while Gremlin-like beings in Brown and Green colors ran around killing any animal that came into view of him.
It's been 20 minutes since Hadrian started his hunt for Lifeforce, after he got the first Brown and Green Lifeforces from the animals, he quickly summoned all available Browns and Greens from the Minion Portals.
The Greens, being the famous Agile Assassins that they are, wasted no time in starting the hunt when Hadrian gave his orders, the Greens used their ability to turn invisible to attack the animals by surprise.
"Aaah, so many animal corpses, it's so beautiful" Hadrian said to himself before deciding to test the Fireball Spell he has.
He focused on a tree, then imagined himself creating a fireball in his hand and then throwing it towards the tree, that's when he felt some of what he believes to be his Magical Energy coming out as a ball of fire came out of his hand and went towards the tree, the Fireball then exploded upon contact with the tree, starting to burn it.
"Wow...well, one tree on fire should be enough to start deforestation" Hadrian says to himself before feeling the link between him and Gnarl returning.
"Sorry sire, I was feeling bad because of that disgusting scene, but I'm already better, don't worry, Giblet already cleaned everything" Said Gnarl through the link of the Tower Heart with Hadrian's helmet.
"No problem, as long as it's clean and I don't have to kick you, it's all forgiven" Hadrian said before calling all the Minions who were hunting back.
He then summoned all the newborn Browns and Green Minions that were in the Minion Portals, who quickly joined him, as well as the other Minions that were already with him.
He does a quick count and sees that he already has 60 Minions, 36 Browns, and 24 Greens, with 26 Browns being equipped with horns and animal skins, some wearing the heads of a few smaller animals as hats.
Of the 24 Green Minions, 16 were equipped with the skins of animals, just as the Browns were using the skins of dead animals as "armor".
"Okay, non-Newborn Greens, has anyone found any lakes or rivers that have fish?" Hadrian asked as he looked at the "veteran" Greens from his small horde.
The "veteran" Greens nodded and ran in one direction while motioning for their Overlord to follow, which Hadrian did, being followed by the rest of the Horde.
After a few minutes of running, Hadrian and his small Horde arrived at a river, the "veteran" Greens were jumping up and waving at him, with one pointing to the river and shouting "Fishy!" several times.
Hadrian then went down to the river, while the Greens and Browns couldn't go in the water as they couldn't swim, he could, he would have to kill the fish himself.
Hadrian was quick and luckily managed to catch a fish with his gauntlet, so he climbed out of the river with the fish in hand and tossed it to his Horde.
"Kill the fish!" Ordered Hadrian as he watched one of the Browns get slapped in the face because of the fish's tail, which wouldn't stop moving.
A Green then without wasting time uses his claws and digs into the fish, killing him for good, when the fish stopped struggling, a bright blue bubble came out of his body, it was a Blue Lifeforce.
Seeing that made Hadrian laugh like a maniac, he then went to the Blue Lifeforce, but a Brown Minion took the Blue Lifeforce and ran with it to Hadrian, handing it to him.
When Hadrian's Gauntlet sucked the Lifeforce and glowed blue, Hadrian ran back to his Teleport location, where both the Portal that took him back to the Tower and the Minion Portals were.
There he summoned a Blue Minion, from the Blue Minion Portal a Blue Gremlin with some fish features and no genitalia went flying before touching the ground.
"Uuuh...Master?" Said the Blue Minion as he got up dizzily before looking at Hadrian, he then got happy and ran to Hadrian.
"Master! Master!" He shouted the Blue Minion happily as he jumped around Hadrian who was laughing happily.
'Great, now just send this guy to kill the other fish and bring me Blue Lifeforce, so I'll have lots of Blue Minions!' He thought Hadrian ecstatically, and no wonder.
In the Overlord Games, Blue Minions were the only Minions that could swim, but that's not all they were good at, these little guys could also bring dead Minions back to life.
While in the game the Minions die on the Battlefield and disappear completely after a while, which time would have a skull hovering over their bodies, which you would then send the Blue Minion to resurrect and not lose a valuable Minion permanently (in Overlord I) here would clearly be different as it is real life now.
Maybe he could even bring a normal human back to life if he had enough Blue Minions.
"Okay, Blue Minion, get ready to go hunting for fish" Said Hadrian as he went with the Blue Minion to kill fish, not caring about the fire and smoke that appeared behind him, the tree he burned started to spread the fire to the other trees, just begun the deforestation that Hadrian wanted.
For the next 15 minutes, Hadrian would just be sitting on the ground by the river while his Blue Minion killed the fish in the river and then he would call for more Blue Minions to join in.
The Browns and Green Minions were just enjoying their downtime, some throwing each other into the river to watch their teammates drown before a Blue Minion came and saved the "victim", others just looked at the Forest that was on fire.
When Hadrian decided he had enough of Blues, he summoned his entire Horde, which was now having 79 Minions in total, containing Browns, Greens, and Blues, now only the Reds were missing.
'Hmmm...if an animal or being is on fire and I kill it...will it be considered a being of fire and therefore give me Red Lifeforce?' Hadrian thought as he had a hand on his chin, activating Analysis Mode.
While Hadrian had rather a questionable reflection, the fire in the forest only grew, with it screams of animals that were burning alive, fleeing to try to survive.
Amidst the smoke and screams of animals being burned alive, a small being, who had the appearance of a human woman but was at most 30 centimeters long, having blonde hair, green eyes, milky white skin, and butterfly wings on her back, was simply a fairy.
"How?! How did that happen?!" He asked the fairy to himself as he looked at the horror that was in front of her, charred animals, and burned trees, all of which made her cry.
As she flew, seeing all that disaster, she then came close to a river, there she saw a sight that scared her and horrified her even more than she already was.
A being all in Armor, seeming to be the size of a Human Being, who seemed to be thinking about something, with him were beings that she considered Gremlins, each one with different colors, most being Browns, then there were Greens and Blues.
In the river she also saw the bodies of several fish, several being disemboweled, turning the river water red.
This made her reach a terrible conclusion, this Being could be the culprit of all this happening because she could see that he was not at all worried about the dead fish and not about the forest being burned.
Angry, she flew fast towards him and started hitting his helmet, while doing nothing, she was drawing his attention.
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU DID?!" shouted the Fairy angrily as she smacked Hadrian's helm, who turned and was face to face with her.
The faerie then stopped hitting Hadrian's helm, for when she saw those glowing red eyes, it scared her beyond measure, those eyes promised pain and suffering, without an ounce of Kindness or empathy, just pure evil.
"E-e-e" The Fairy tried to say something, but Hadrian wasted no time and caught the fairy in his gauntlet, then squeezed her hard, breaking the bones in the poor little fairy's body.
The fairy started screaming in pain, but Hadrian cared less, he threw the fairy who was all broken to the ground, then, just like the Fourth Overlord did to a certain gnome, Hadrian stomped with all his strength on the fairy, crushing her. with his Iron Boot.
"Fairies? Ugh, ok, it's time to put my theory into practice and call the Reds" Hadrian said to himself as he left the place where he was with his Horde, going to hunt some animal that was burning alive.
