Chapter 2: 1. Fantasy World (1)
(MC pov):
I woke up in a clearing in a vast forest. " Where in the hell did he send me?". The area around me was full of lush greenery, and the chirps of birds filled the air with their beautiful melody, but I was not filled with a sense of wonder as some others would feel. All I felt was a burning hunger that radiated from what felt like my very soul. " Augh, how the hell am I supposed to eat this world if I am in constant pain."
In my discomfort, I fell to the ground, and that was when I noticed a black and red phone near me. I reached and picked up the phone, dispute the horrible pain I was in. The phone suddenly floated out of my hand and came directly to my face. It then spoke in a very mechanical voice. " Hello, selected soul. I am your mission guide. I was given to you by your patron to assign worlds that need to be devoured to record your progress and send the results to your patron. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."
I was surprised at first, but that quickly faded as I did have a question. " I know that I am supposed to eat this world, but how am I supposed to do that exactly?" The phone responded immediately." Your patron has gifted you a form that would help speed up the process of consuming the world." That answered my question, but I was worried as to what form ROB had given me. There was only one way to find out I guess.
"How do I transform into my new form," I asked the phone. "You simply have to say the phrase "job start" to transform but be warned you won't be able to transform back until the world has been consumed." That seemed simple enough, but I didn't enjoy the fact that I couldn't change back until the mission was complete.
"Okay, I will have to be smart and choose a good location to start the assignment," I thought to myself. "Where would be a good location to start this?"Hey, mission guide, is there a town or city nearby that I could go to?" The phone immediately responded, "Yes, the Kingdom of Sanctus is approximately 10 miles north of your current location."
"The kingdom of Sanctus huh okay let's go there first."
