Without saying anything else, Haewon watched Jake, who was looking everywhere else but at her, as she waited for him to utter a word or at least say he was sorry.
"Don't you have anything to say to me?" Haewon asked, breaking the silence when it had dragged on long enough.
Jake shook his head as he stood there, looking at his feet, "I don't know what to say to you. I know that saying sorry won't be enough to make up for anything. Asking for your forgiveness would be too selfish and shameless of me. What I did is unforgivable. I don't seek or expect your forgiveness," Jake said without looking at her, but from his tone, Haewon could tell he was holding back his tears.
"Really? You don't seek it? What if I want you to seek it? I want you to explain everything to me yourself, Jake. I want to hear it all from you. And I want you to beg for my forgiveness," Haewon said with tears in her eyes, but Jake shook his head.
"It's all pointless…."
