One was a white-haired youth with a striking pair of sky-blue eyes, and the other, a tall man with dark-green hair and emerald pupils. But though both had the slit pupils of the dragon race, the nature of their bloodlines stood on opposite ends of the spectrum—divine for the former and demonic for the latter:

The Virtuous Monarch and Qiongqi. 

"Qiongqi, you've received Yuanqi's blessing and mastered the Eye of Fatian. Your battle-prowess is no longer inferior to Xingtian—likely even higher. So why didn't you try to assist Shiyuan in cornering the Primordial Evil? Could it be that you're still clinging on to past affection?" Sitting on the edge of the mountain peak with one arm resting on his thigh, the Virtuous Monarch asked.
