Chapter 2: Dream You
It was a rainy night, the rain fell with full force and the thunders strike loud and consistently as if it is also angry with what is taking place.
"Don't do it!!.. please!!..stop!!.." Mega shouted with pain at the top of his voice but no one listens to him, Can't they hear him? Do they not see his tears? They surely know that the heavy rain is falling because of his tears right? They know that it's thundering because of his pain right? How can they be so cold to him? Do they really not hear him? or they heard but feign ignorance? Even if they couldn't hear him, how can they do such a thing?
"Stop it!!" He shouted again with pain and agony enveloping his face and the thunders came with lightning bolt.
"Save me" he heard someone said from behind, who can it be? He looked back and saw a lady, slim, fair and beautiful. She's beautiful but she doesn't look like a fairy or a goddess, she has a normal hair that reaches her shoulder like a Mortal...wait...a Mortal?, he must be seeing wrongly, a Mortal can't get in here, is she a goddess then?...why does she not have long hair? and why does she need him to save her?..come to think of it, she didn't look like she's hurt or something, she just looked sad. He look at her as she fades away.....if she fades like that, it means she's not a Mortal, maybe fading is her own power. He turn his face back to what is happening.
He must stop it, they must not succeed with it, how can he live if they succeed?
He hold up his hand's second and middle finger, twist it in circular form, held his breath and finally breathes out as he points the finger at them to stop them but wait! it didn't work, his magic didn't work, how could it not? He is Mega Mula; the Heir to the Throne of Vekula, the one that wins every magic competition he has competed in, the most respected teenage Immortal, the most revered teenage god, the one who reached 'Fuxie' at the age of five; the Magic level that most gods enter at the age of ten or twelve, How then could his powers not work?
He tried again and again but with the same futile results
Realizing that his powers isn't working, he shouted again, this time more loudly
"Stop...." He screamed.
"Mega..Mega' he heard someone calling his name as he opens his eyes.
"Mega, what's it again?" the voice that woke him asked
"Nothing Mum, I'm fine" he said and took a towel to dab his face and neck that is full of sweats.
"Mega, tell me what is bothering you" Mrs Mula 'The Queen of Vekula Kingdom' said with a worried expression. She is a Woman who isn't slim neither fat, she has the perfect body you wouldn't know she has ever given birth. She has blue eyes, blue and beautiful like the ocean, her slightly blue hair is so long and straight that it almost touches her waist, of course she is the most beautiful Queen in the Whole of Deka Immortal Worlds, so beautiful that the other Kings envy Mr Mula, the King of Vekula Kingdom.
"You know exactly what is bothering me Maa, you people were the one behind it, don't act like you care now please, don't pretend you're worried about me, just leave me to myself" He said with hatred filled eyes.
"Mega, I'm your Mother and I'll forever worry about you, how could I pretend to care for you? I really care about you and you know it, all I ever wanted is to make you the kind of man you should be" The Queen said as she gets teary eyed
"The kind of man I should be? You mean the kind of man that has no happiness right? Get out of my room Mrs Mula, I'm not ready to listen to another bullshit" He said with anger
"For how long will you hold this grudge against us? How long will you keep distancing yourself from us and your responsibility? You can't break down like this, get a grip of yourself, You are Mega Mula, the Heir to the Throne of Vekula, the most respected teenage Immortal, the most revered..."The Queen was saying when Mega cut her off
"That was before Maa, that was once upon a time, not now, I am nothing but a joke now. I am Mega Mula; a useless and powerless god" He said with obvious pain
"You are not powerless and you know that. You are just choosing not to use it, Mega, all Vekula Kingdom misses you, why are you refusing to use your power?" the worried Queen said
"I'm powerless Maa, I'm powerless, a power that refuses to work when I needed it the most isn't power, what is the essence of my powers when it failed me at my desperate time?" He said as his eyes got red
"Try to let go of the past Mega, forget it all and move on. You shouldn't be like this Mega, you are meant to be a motivation for the little gods, you are forgetting who you are my son, you can't leave your responsibility for so long, you are the pride of Vekula Kingdom, a force to reckon with in all Deka Immortal Worlds, why are you stuck in a place for so long? why do you find it hard to forget? It's been long I saw the real you, please Mega, please get a hold of yourself, I want you back son, I want you back" The Queen said bursting in tears, she looks at her son and saw his expressionless face, this isn't the Mega that she raised, her son was always compassionate and caring, he would get angry if he saw a single tear in his mother's face, if she cried this much, he would even cry with her but not anymore, here she is crying and he looked indifferent, he didn't even make any attempt to console her. Where is the caring little boy she raised? She cried the more as she looks at him.
"Please leave my room when you're done crying...what am I even saying, please get out Mrs Mula, and yes, I'm no more the stupid Mega you raised, I'm no more a fool that believes everything his parents say, this is now the real me, the earlier you accept that fact the better, please leave " Mega said coldly as his mother wipes her tears and left the room.
Yes, she is my mother but her fake tears won't move me. They all don't care about me, why then should I care?
I've been having nightmares since the incident happened and they all know about what my nightmares entails yet she'll come here hypocritically and ask what's wrong but these days, the nightmares are becoming weirder, who is the lady that said he should save her? she wasn't in the nightmare to begin with, she started appearing in the nightmare some weeks ago, what is happening? who is this mysterious lady? I sure haven't seen her before, not in the Three Deka Immortal Worlds.
