Chapter 3: CH.3: A Maiden and Magician

-3rd POV-
Sakuya was now going up the staircase while holding the book close to her chest. She worried that she may have taken too long for her mistress's patience but Sys reassured her that it would be fine. Remilia isn't cruel, she's just eager.
[I do wonder when I'll get to see those two.]
'Which two?' Sakuya was naturally confused, as she didn't know of the two characters that appeared most in official Touhou content.
[Marisa and Reimu! They are usually the characters we play as in official Touhou games made by ZUN, the guy who made Touhou.]
Sakuya frowned a bit. 'Didn't you say I was you favorite character?' She's still a bit sensitive after that emotional moment. It did basically only happen 10-15 minutes ago even with the time stop added.
[You are my favorite! Your the one who even brought me to the series!]
The sudden declaration caused Sakuya to lose her frown in favor of a smile. 'Then, care to explain?' It wasn't threatening, it was just curiousity.
[Well, playing Reimu is like the easy mode while Marisa is like the challenge mode. Not exactly hard but it takes more skill and is more fun to play in most cases.]
Sakuya nodded a bit inwardly. Whenever she had spellcard battles with either of the two, Reimu's bullets were harder to dodge and she usually looked unfazed by most of it. Marisa on the other hand adapted and kept trying despite if her bullets missed or not.
[Also, we're almost towards your Mistress. I can't wait to see how she looks in person!]
Sakuya smiled at Sys's enthusiasm at meeting her mistress. She then quickly put on her usualy poker face and opened the door. She then saw Reimu standing beside the table and Marisa sitting down. Remilia however continued to drink her tea without a worry.
'What is happening here?' Sakuya questioned without saying a word.
[That's what I'm wondering. In the show or series, in times like these, the two would either start asking questions, ask to duel or just straight up accuse.]
Sakuya then formed a smile on her face and calmly walked towards her mistress. "I have the book you requested."
Remilia Scarlet, the Devil who can manipulate fate and despite that, she's also a vampire. Touhou has never exactly shown or explained her power, but just know that she has an equally ridiculous sister that has the ability to destroy anything.
Remilia Scarlet has an extremely fluffy and frilly dress with the color pink and red strips outlining key areas, such as the waist, upper body and even shoulders. Her hair is a nice cool, light blue that is contradictory to her blood red eyes. Her skin wasn't exactly a pale white, but was instead a smooth lighter beige or human color. She is short.
"Thank you Sakuya, you took longer than usual?" Remilia questioned her ever-so-faithful servant. Reimu and Marisa on the other hand looked on in a bit curiousity.
"I just wanted to walk down the hall and wind down a bit." Sakuya had prepared this answer. It's the most likely one to convince her mistress.
"I see, take better care of yourself, okay Sakuya?" Genuine concern which always brings a smile to Sakuya's face. She bowed a little as response and then stood behind Remilia as she laid the book onto the table.
"Now, Reimu and Marisa, what is it that you require?" Now, it's time to get down to business. This serious atmosphere was broken for Sakuya, as Sys kept gushing about seeing the three characters up close.
[OMG OMG OMG! Remilia is so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeee, and Reimu looks as petite I'd imagined! Marisa looks so charming as well!]
'Please calm down, I wish to hear what they are saying Sys.' After thinking that, Sys went quiet and all that could be heard was heavy breathing... which was slowly quieting down.
Reimu started first, "I was going through the village when I heard rumors of something with bat wings being spotted throughout the night."
Reimu Hakurei, the current Shrine Maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. Her last name is also the family that applied the great Hakurei Barrier all around Gensokyo.
She wore a Shrine Maiden outfit that wasn't like the normal ones. For starters, it's primary color was more red then white, which is accompanied by many folds along her short skirt. The sleeves were detached and only covered from her elbows to wrists. Her hair was a niche brown that seemingly bordered to being red like the massive bow that ties her hair. Her eyes were a deep orange that looked brown.
Marisa then continued, "We just came here to be sure that it wasn't you or Koakuma and if you have any idea of who it may be."
Marisa Kirisame, the human Magician. Unlike Patchouli and Alice, Marisa isn't a Magician by race but by occupation.
She wore what seemed to be an outfit fit for a house maid or even perhaps an old Victorian cleaner. The main colors were black and white. Her outfit looked she had an apron on but that is just something wrapped around her waist to her stomach. She wore a witch hat with the same colors of her clothes. Her attire must seem like it doesn't match her eye or hair color, but it somehow does. The contrast allows her starry yellow hair and eyes pop out more.
Remilia shook her head in response, "Me and Koa have been inside the mansion or the past few weeks. Only Sakuya has stepped out besides Meiling of course." She held her chin in between her pointer and thumb as if attempting to solve a big case.
"I see, well, we'll be on our way then." Reimu simply turned around while Marisa stood up from her seat and mouthed a thank you. They both then flew off into the distance.
"Sakuya." Remilia called out.
[Oh, I think I know where this is going.]
Sys would eye roll if she could, but continued listening on with Sakuya.
"I would like for you to investigate the village later. I would rather not have someone trying to get me or anyone related to me in trouble." She sighed at the thought.
"As you wish Mistress." Sakuya bowed and the day continued on as normal with the exception of Sys occasionally chatting with Sakuya in her mind.
