A FEW WEEKS HAD PASSED, Since the incident. I had recovered from my injuries and I finally received justice, as the man who broke in a few weeks ago was just recently detained. I also decided to work at a nearby grocery store as a cashier. I figured, that by taking this job I can help my mom with the daily expenses we spend every day.
My first shift begins in 30 minutes, so I decided to get ready. As I changed facing my bedroom window, there I saw.. Her. Again.
I was wondering if she was the one who broke in that day. Then again the person who attacked me is already detained and he had a muscular physique, while her figure seems like that of a sixteen year old girl. While keeping all of that in mind she suddenly emerged from the tree and completely showed herself. I can make out that she had long blonde hair, mesmerising blue eyes and a really pale skin. She was wearing a white dress that reached below her knees which was odd considering the cold weather. "Maybe shes just the neighbours kid"
I mumbled to myself.
It was then when I realised that I also saw her in the middle of the night. No parent with a right mind would let their kid go out during the night. So who really is she?.
As I pushed away my thoughts I was finally ready for work. I headed down stairs and gave my mom a sincere fairwell as I headed outside. I decided to walk to my workplace as its just a five minute walk from my house. Along the way I finally saw the tree, face to face. It gave me goosebumps as I walked pass it. I ignored the odd feeling I got from the tree and decided to check my watch.
'Time: 1:55'
"Oh crap I'm almost late!" I muttered .
My shift is about to start in within five minutes so I need to get there as soon as possible.
I sprinted as fast as I can. I ignored all of the people's confused faces looking at me as I sprinted on the sidewalk. I arrived to work just one minute before my shift even started. "I'm exhausted." As I walked through the door I realised my boss has been waiting for me. "Am I in trouble?" I thought to myself. I walked towards him and saw him fix a smile, then he slowly approached me and with a firm voice he said- "Hi welcome to your first day of work, Come I'll teach you how its done."
After a few minutes of mentoring me on what to do I finally understood how to run the cash register. I thanked my boss as he returned to his office. So this is what I do now. I muttered.
It's only a summer job so its not permanent. The store had little customers to the point i can count everyone here. That's probably the reason they're hiring. As the sliding doors opened one customer got my attention. It's her. ''Is she following me?" I wondered. She's still wearing the same white dress despite the temperature.
As she walked across the room, my eyes followed her and I saw her pick up a loaf of bread. Which seems nothing out of the ordinary. After picking up the bread, I noticed she's coming towards me. I figured she's going to buy the bread so I thought nothing of it. As she placed the loaf of bread on the counter, I took a closer look of her eyes. They glow a very deep blue, it also looked like it was glimmering, which was breathtaking. As I stared at her eyes for a minute, she suddenly spoke.
"Please don't stare it's making me nervous."
As I processed the words she said I suddenly bursted out apologizing.
Im sorry miss, please forgive me I didn't mean to stare! She giggled as she responded- "It's okay, people stare at my eyes most of the time so you're not the first."
I see, still I'm sorry. I replied as i scanned her item. So that will be two dollars and 3 cents.
She handed me five dollars, and said "You can keep the change" as she left with the loaf of bread. I was in awe, i didn't know what to respond. That girl.. Is beautiful. I think..
I love her, I want to be with her.
After those thoughts crossed my mind I suddenly ran after her. But when I got outside she was gone. She was nowhere. I stared at the far distance but still she's gone. H-how can that be?
As I walked back inside i heard a whisper..
"Im Destiny, by the way."
