The Ackermen clan had spent 20 years in hiding from society. But they continued to live in Japan. The rise of the AFO and the hunting down of members known by the code name Zoldyck. With the power it had gained over the years, the AFO went after this family, known for its excellent assassination record. No matter how much the clan tried to hide, the presence of various Quirks made this impossible.
They had discussed moving out of the country several times, but giving up their identity was unacceptable to them. After a long period of hunting, the Ackerman clan had shrunk. In 2050, the head of the clan put a plan into action with his remaining forces. He directed several members, both Quirk possessors and 'awakened', to hunt down Quirk possessors suitable for the plan.
The plan was to create artificial intelligence, which was not possible for those years, and use it for the survival of the clan. The AFO's influence was growing by the day and the clan members were finding it very difficult to hide. Many of their secret bases had been found and destroyed. Fortunately, they had left no trace of the name 'Ackermen' behind. Even the captured family members managed to keep their will and kept the clan's secrets.
Ten years later the clan managed to create the artificial intelligence and named it 'Levi'. Unfortunately, the plan was doomed to fail. Although Levi's presence made it easier for them to hide, Quirk's unpredictability continued to cause them problems. The clan was so exhausted that only a handful of members remained. They had almost no time for anything but hiding and running. They knew very well why the AFO was hunting them.
But there was nothing they could do about it. At the beginning of the hunt, they had tried to fight it and had suffered many casualties. As the AFO's power grew over the years, fighting no longer even crossed their minds. After the first battle with the AFO, the Clan began to wait for an opportunity. They believed that if anyone in the clan was born with a powerful Quirk, they would have a chance. But fate had mocked them and the opportunity they were looking for never came.
Money had never been a problem for the Ackerman. The wealth they had accumulated in the past would last them for hundreds of years. The problem was that this wealth had to be transported regularly. Dealing with this while on the run had cost the lives of many clansmen. This was also one of the reasons Ai Levi was created. With Levi's presence, they made their assets untraceable.
Ten years after the creation of Levi, there were only two people left in the clan. Kenny Ackermen and Monica Ackermen, along with the artificial intelligence Levi. Kenny and Monica were siblings, but they were also lovers. The Ackerman family had become so attached to running and hiding that they began to engage in incestuous relationships to ensure the continuation of their lineage. With the existence of the AFO, the average life expectancy of clan members had dropped to 17 years old.
Kenny and Monica were very good at running and hiding. After years on the run, fate smiled on the Ackerman couple. In 2078, with the outbreak of the Second War, things got messy. With AFO as the main villain for the heroes, the Ackerman were able to breathe a little. The second war lasted five years. After losing most of the manpower it had amassed, the AFO retreated deeper into the shadows. With the unstoppable rise of All Might, Japan finally began to stabilise.
Not just Japan, but the entire world began to stabilise. The AFO finally stopped hunting the Ackerman because he had bigger things to worry about. Kenny and Monica took this opportunity, and with Levi's guidance, eventually settled in Musutafu. Feelings suppressed by years of running and hiding came to the surface. Monica became pregnant that same year.
Kenny and Monica had twins. One was a girl and the other a boy. They named the girl 'Mikasa' and the boy 'Natsu'. Time passed quickly and the children grew up fast. When the children were four years old, they both awakened their Quirk and bloodline power. Natsu awakened his mother's Telekinesis Quirk, but Mikasa awakened her very rare Warp Quirk. Kenny and Monica were delighted but registered Mikasa's Quirk as a superpower.
The AFO would not give up such a Quirk while still lurking in the shadows. Kenny and Monica, the remaining members of the Ackerman clan, were well aware of this. Mikasa not only had a unique Quirk, but her bloodline strength was also at the top of the recorded data. Natsu, on the other hand, was average in terms of Quirk and bloodline strength. Kenny and Monica loved both children with all their hearts.
Ever since the Ackermen realised their bloodline strength, they were very strict in training. They had strict training in fighting, self-defence, firearms, assassination, survival, hunting, trade and general culture. Although much of this standard of training has been lost in the last fifty years, they still had a high standard. With Levi's presence, the lost standards had resurfaced.
Since the members had children at an early age and died at an early age, they did not have enough time to reach the old standards of the clan. As the lack of members increased, training was compromised as survival was the priority. Fortunately, they managed to preserve their training methods and records. This allowed Levi to optimise the methods by adding them to the dataset and preventing them from being lost.
Natsu and Mikasa had trained to match or even exceed the clan's old standards until they awakened their bloodline power and Quirk. Natsu was a very cheerful and spoilt child. The danger of the AFO was a terrible fairy tale to him. His parents had ignored Natsu's comfort because they had not been able to enjoy their childhood. Natsu was therefore very cheerful and spoilt. Levi was programmed by code to carry out the orders of the living Ackerman. After giving his opinion about Natsu and the situation to Kenny and Monica, he followed their orders.
Mikasa was much stricter than Natsu. As Levi explained to his parents, it was because of Mikasa's high intelligence. Mikasa was a very intelligent girl. She absorbed everything Levi taught her like a sponge. She was especially fascinated by the history of their clan and how they survived today. She asked Levi about the old clan rules and cultures and tried to act accordingly. However, because of her age, her behaviour seemed very sweet and cute from the outside.
As time passed, Natsu started to neglect his training and spent more time playing games. Levi could do nothing but report the situation. As Mikasa grew older, she became more and more individualistic. She still liked to hug her mother but was uncomfortable touching her father and Natsu. The children continued to grow and develop until they were four years old.
When Natsu and Mikasa awakened their bloodline powers and Quirks, the family's internal dynamics changed completely. Since the first appearance of Quirks, the effects they had on people had been thoroughly researched. It was a proven fact that people could change their behaviour and attitude according to the Quirk they awakened. Not only that, those with mutation-type Quirks could even change physiological human habits.
After Natsu awakened his bloodline power and Quirk, he became more spoilt and callous. However, he had not changed much. Mikasa, on the other hand, had changed a lot. The moment she awakened her Quirk was when she teleported from her room to the kitchen of the house. The shock and confusion she had experienced after her first teleportation had allowed her to awaken her bloodline power. Her Quirk had different effects on her mind and body. Her mind became more withdrawn and narcissistic. Her body, on the other hand, experienced multiple side effects. Her skin became more sensitive to contact and instinctively uncomfortable with it. Her muscles became tighter to maintain their integrity while teleporting.
Not only was the potential of Mikasa's Quirk enough to affect the family, but their relationship was profoundly affected by the changes she experienced. Mikasa barely spoke to Natsu and her father Kenny anymore. She had lost body contact with her mother and had reduced talking. Although Levi tried to stabilise the family as the children's psychologist and teacher, the family dynamics were completely turned upside down. Natsu did not like the changes Mikasa was going through and stopped talking to her as well. It was as if they were two strangers, not twins. Even though Kenny knew the changes that Quirks could cause in people, he couldn't help loving Natsu more. Unfortunately, Monica was in the same situation.
