Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Nagatoro And Art Club

'Well, anyway, I need to fix this before they end up hurting each other.' Hideo thought as he glanced at the girl, who wore a pout and refused to meet his gaze.

"We need to talk about what just happened. I saw everything from the beginning, and we need to clarify a lot of things." Hideo said, his expression serious as he addressed the girl.

Though she still avoided looking at him, the girl nodded. They returned to the table and sat across from each other. Hideo's gaze remained fixed on her, while she kept her eyes on the floor.

*Sigh* "Seriously, there's a lot that needs to be cleared up. They have no idea of the harm they've caused Naoto." Hideo said, shaking his head.

The girl appeared a little nervous, evidently realizing that they had crossed boundaries.

"First, we should introduce ourselves. We don't even know each other's names." Hideo said, resting his head on his intertwined hands and studying the girl.

The girl nodded and regained some composure. With a smirk on her face, she said, "My name is Hayase Nagatoro." Hideo nodded and introduced himself.

"I'm Gojo Hideo. Nice to meet you, Hayase." Hideo said, unaware that Nagatoro's face flushed upon hearing his name.

After a few seconds, Nagatoro's mischievous expression returned.

"Nice to meet you, Senpai~" she said, extending her hand in an unusual manner and lightly touching Hideo's chest.

'How is she doing that? It's like her body is elastic. And is that a cat on her? Well, anyway, it doesn't really matter.' Hideo thought as he observed Nagatoro, whose arms stretched strangely when she touched him, giving her a cat-like appearance.

Hideo noticed something peculiar about Nagatoro.

She was smiling, and her face was red.

'he's even more interesting than I thought.' Nagatoro thought as she looked at Hideo's chest and abs, faintly visible through his shirt.

"Well, enough with the introductions. It's time to talk about Naoto." Hideo said, adopting a serious expression.

Nagatoro nodded and mirrored his seriousness.

"Well, I just want you to apologize to him." Hideo said, abruptly breaking the serious mood.

Nagatoro was taken aback, searching for answers in Hideo's eyes. Hideo sighed and began explaining his point.

"I understand that your teasing went too far, and your friends should apologize. But I can't entirely blame them either. They probably didn't realize the impact they had on Naoto. They come from different worlds. Naoto is more antisocial and reclusive, while your friends are more sociable. There's no one to blame here." Hideo said, clarifying his perspective.

Nagatoro nodded, understanding his point.

"And as for you, I know you were trying to help Naoto." Hideo said, emphasizing his words. Nagatoro's eyes widened, curious about how he reached that conclusion. Hideo understood her curiosity and began explaining himself.

"You were trying to make him aware of the things he was doing that were not good for him, but your approach was terrible. The advice about making eye contact while talking, for example, is good, but the execution was awful." Hideo said, remembering Naoto's tears caused by Nagatoro's words.

Nagatoro wore a surprised expression, feeling remorseful as she recalled the boy's tears. She had been trying to help him indirectly.

"Don't worry. Naoto will understand." Hideo assured her as he gently stroked Nagatoro's head.

It was something he had recently started doing instinctively.

Nagatoro blushed, and embarrassment seemed to radiate from her head like smoke.

"Well, don't worry. Tomorrow, I'll come and get you guys so you can apologize to him. For now, I'm going to go comfort Naoto. See you later." Hideo said, removing his hand from Nagatoro's head and leaving the library.

This left Nagatoro lost in thought.

Hideo walked around the school, following the cursed energy mark he had left on Naoto.

'Well, I know they're not bad people, but they still need a little punishment.' Hideo thought, recalling the girls and a smirk formed on his face as he contemplated the pranks he could play on them.

After a couple of minutes, he arrived at the art club room where Naoto was.

"Art club." Hideo read the sign outside.

"Well, let's go check it out." Hideo said as he entered the room.

He glanced around but found only Naoto inside. Hideo didn't feel the need to approach him.

The room was filled with canvases, mannequins, and various art-related items. Hideo approached Naoto, who sat on a chair, tears in his eyes and his gaze fixed on the floor.

Hideo approached him and offered a handkerchief from his inventory.

"Hideo." Naoto mumbled, quickly wiping his tears with the handkerchief, feeling embarrassed.

"You don't have to be sad or feel bad for crying. We all cry and suffer. It doesn't make you any less." Hideo said, patting Naoto's back.

"But a younger girl made fun of me." Naoto said, his face displaying anguish.

Hideo shook his head and began exploring the room, admiring the paintings hanging on the walls.

"These are nice, but they lack essence." Hideo commented while looking at Naoto's artworks. Naoto raised his head and looked at Hideo in surprise.

"Are you familiar with art?" Naoto asked, astonished.

"Not really, to be honest." Hideo shamelessly admitted.

Naoto appeared dumbfounded.

"Well, don't look at me like that. I know a little, but not professionally. It could be interesting to learn. Maybe I'll join the club." Hideo said, casually taking a seat on a random chair.

Naoto's eyes widened at the suggestion.

"But there aren't many people in the club. It's usually just me." Naoto said with a nervous expression.

"Well, to be honest, I visited most of the clubs today, and none of them caught my attention. At least here, I can relax without anyone bothering me." Hideo said, settling into the chair.

Although an image of Nagatoro came to mind at the mention of "bothering," he didn't take it seriously.

"Okay, I'll talk to the club president." Naoto said, feeling calmer after their conversation.

Hideo nodded in acknowledgment.

"You're feeling better now. Well, it's time for me to go. I'll be back tomorrow to join. See you later." Hideo said, standing up and leaving the room, leaving Naoto lost in thought.
