Chapter 19: Chaos III
The day after the call to Virtuosos group's Chairman, Walter was in one of the training rooms of the building preparing for his fight against Michael Hariss.

The door to the training room opened and Walter's assistant entered the room.
"I thought I was very clear that I do not want to be disturbed." Walter said in a calm tone
"It is an urgent matter. You need to see this" his assistant said as he held a pen drive in his hands
The two of them moved to Walter's office and began watching the video.
The video showed the encounter that took place in the restaurant and how 'Kevin' Charles's driver shot a shard to Oliver's arm almost completely severing it.
The only reason why they were able to see 'Kevin's' attack was because the video was edited by the Virtuosos group as this was previously overlooked due to how subtle it was.
"Any chance the video is fake?"
"I compared it to the original footage and confirmed it's authenticity. The content in the video is only highlighted not changed."
"Hmm..Does he think that just because it wasn't his son who did it, I will stop? Surely he can't be that delusional."
"You should keep watching." his assistant replied and Walter again focused on the screen of his computer.
The footage now showed 'Kevin' escaping from the place before the spacial isolation was cast and running away into an alley.
The camera footage then shifted to the one in the alley which showed something that shocked Walter heavily.
The video showed 'Kevin' taking off a face mask, getting into a car parked not that far away and driving away.
"This-!! Have this person identified immediately"
"We did. He is a member of the Monster group named Will Wilson."
"The Monster group?!" Walter exclaimed
The Monster group was by far the greatest group in the state. Following them were Light Cavalry, them and virtuosos.
However, unlike the other two, the difference of power between them and the Monster group was not short.
"Contact Michael Hariss at once." Walter told his assistant who followed his order immediately and connected a line to the Virtuosos group's chairman.
"I just saw the video." Walter said
[I see. So how do you wanna do this?] Michael replied.
It was after all Michael who investigated the matter and found out the truth. His feeling was right and the timing was a bit too perfect but denying his expectations it wasn't the Light Cavalry group who played this trick but instead it was the Monster group.
"They almost severed my son's arm. It doesn't matter whether or not they are the strongest group, I will take them down!" Walter said
[I share the same feeling. Kevin was a trusted subordinate and now he is either dead or on the verge of death. They killed one of my man just for some trick. I can't let that slide. So let's partner up.]
"Alright. We will completely burn the Monster group down to the ground!" Walter yelled
[Yeah! And we will split the rewards two way.] Michael said
"...Sure." Walter said as he felt like Michael was more interested in the land they will get after destroying a big group like them rather than avenging his subordinate. But he did not concern himself with that. All he wanted was revenge and he will take all the help he can gather.
Luckily he gave fighting Michael some thought and decided to call as he too felt something out of place since Charles had no motive to go that far in a normal banter between two awakened ones.
'You will pay for this Monster group!' Walter exclaimed in his mind as he went off to train again.

"So what you are saying is..."
"That both the Virtuosos group and the Starlight group will ally together to start a fight with the Monster group." I finished what Dad was about to say
"Owen..Have you completely lost it?"
*Sigh* "Why is everyone so uptight about the whole righteousness bullshit. We are awakened ones. We live in a world where you will die just because of a whim of someone strong. And-"
"It is not about that you idiot!! I am mad that you took such a huge risk without even telling me about it!! Righteousness and the other bullshit is just what we say to gain trust of the new people joining us."
"Wait...what?"
"What? You thought we can just recover so much financially just by being so kind and following the rules?" Dad asked in a condescending tone
"So why do everyone else in the awakened world feel that way as well."
"Because I make sure not to get caught doing those underhand things."
"I see." I said being genuinely proud of him
Is it wrong for me to be proud of my Dad for being an evil mastermind who conned who knows how many in order to gain money? Maybe. But I don't care.
Anyway, now both of them will fight against Monster group. Virtuosos and Starlight, both of them are our enemies and our relationship with Monster group is just neutral. But with this plan set in motion, we can gain a huge advantage.
We will inform the Monster group that the two of them will launch a surprise attack on them since I am sure they wouldn't announce they are fighting a big group such as the Monster group.
This will make things tough for the two of them and if the Monster group wins which is the most likely outcome, we get on their good side and can establish a nice relationship between them and us. We can also gain some spoils of war.
Second case if the two of them brings another group with them to fight against the Monster group, they will win but even if there is another group, all three of them will be severely injured and that is when we can strike and take control over all 4 of those groups participating in the fight. That is the best case scenario.
Not only will our territory increase tremendously but even our world rankings will improve.
We obviously will not be able to gain complete control over all of their territories and riches since there will be many other groups who will then fight us to win over the neutral ground.
But we will take what we want before they can come over there to fight us and either way whatever happens, we will benefit greatly from this.
No one will expect that we were the mastermind behind this since everyone still believes us to be a relatively kind-hearted group among the awakened ones.
The best case scenario is that we can increase our territory by 20-30% which is huge.
Of course it only depends on the fact that will I be able to get Elsa out and destroy that footage within the time frame of their fight. Because if I start before their fight, Michael will realise what was happening.
If by the end of their fight I am not able to get rid off the evidence and take Elsa back, we will just be back to square one.
I may have to prepone or postpone the infiltration plan depending on when they fight but I am pretty sure everything will work out just fine.
