Chapter 56: Winterfell

A week before the king reached Winterfell I decided to head there to have some fun when they arrived. Also, Margaery has never seen snow and always read about the wall but could never visit so she wanted to go with me. As it would be inconvenient for my woman to ride on Leo for so long I bought a flying ship from the store that runs on magic from magic sones and with the help of runes carved on it. Its body is completely made of metal and can withstand even missiles.

The raven was sent to Winterfell on our visit but has yet to get a reply but even so I set off with Margaery and her maids and ten soldiers summoned from the system store and Leo. Olenna warned us to be careful with the Lannisters and the Queen. She was amazed when I pulled a big ass flying ship out of nowhere by its beauty and elegance. She immediately came to a realization and asked me where I took this from. I replied with a smile that I come from a world where even a commoner knows how to wield magic and learn runes. We developed a storage space with the help of runes that can store all non-living things. To make her happy I gave her a white purse with flowers printed on it that has about 10 cubic meters of space. She liked it very much and had a big smile on her face.

Then we boarded the ship and I went to the Captain's cabin and placed the magic stone into the engine. The next second energy from the magic stone flowed through lines into the engine and the ship started to levitate. I went out to Margaery and the others she and all the maids were in awe that they were flying. After reaching a certain height the wings on both sides of the ship started to unfold and slowly started to flap to move us forward. I walked over to the helm that was under the roof in front of the Captain's cabin and turned it to set our course straight to Winterfell. Margaery and the maids played around with Leo enjoying the feeling of flying in the sky. The guards took position accordingly two at the front of the deck, four along the sides of the deck two at the end of the roof, and two at the Captain's room to guard the engine. On the deck of the ship, it wasn't breezy even though the ship was moving at a speed of 100kmph due to an invisible layer acting as a shield to maintain the atmosphere. But you can still feel the wind on your face giving you the sensation of flying but not too much.

After some time Margaery and the maids went downstairs down the stairs that are in between the helm and Captain's room on both sides of the deck. The ship had all the necessities a kitchen, bathroom, workers' rooms, and a big room for me and Margaery and further down was for storage. It would take about a whole day for us to reach Winterfell so we would only be reaching there the next morning it had already been a long time and it was getting dark. The ship had gems everywhere that started glowing as soon as it was getting dark. The maids had already cooked up some nice dinner and the guards had arranged a dining table on the deck with the furniture from Captain's room. Margaery and I enjoyed a nice dinner among the clouds and it was beautiful and romantic. Later we went to our room leaving the maids and guards to have their food. Entering the room I was pulled onto the bed by Margaery and she took the initiative and control during sex as a reward for my gift to her being able to experience flying. We enjoyed ourselves all night long before falling asleep.

I was sleeping with Margaery in my arms when someone knocked on the door. I slowly got out of bed dressed and went out to see a guard and maids. Seeing me come out he told me that we were about to reach Winterfell castle. I told the maids to get Margaery ready and I went to the bathroom for a wash and other needs.

After getting dressed I came to the deck and I could see the old castle that stood for many wars about a few kilometers away.

Ned Stark's POV:

My House Stark has been a great house in Westeros for centuries and all the Northern noble houses Lords, and people respect us. But other noble houses down south don't give us much consideration regarding decision-making or tournaments they hold or even in trade take advantage of us selling goods with increased prices. But recently we received a letter from House Tyrell inviting us to their Young lady's marriage. I confirmed with Measter that the Tyrells have found a capable man for their young lay who seems to be an outsider from distant lands. It seemed odd that the matriarch of the Tyrell house Olenna would marry her granddaughter to some unknown man from distant lands. But I dismissed it as it had nothing to do with us and only our wishes and regards were sent to them through a letter. But a couple of days ago I received another letter stating that the newlywed couple of the Tyrell family is going to visit us on their journey to the wall. It was odd that someone from the south was interested to see the wall. But we were also going to host the King along with his family in a few days. I don't know why but I feel something bad is going to happen but don't know what. People from three great noble houses are coming to Winterfell at the same time the Baratheon, the Lannisters, and the Tyrell this can't be a coincidence, and the recent sign of the death of a direwolf killed by a stag. All these things are making me nervous and suddenly I don't know why but the following words came to my mind, "Winter is Coming".

Today I was on my way to the main hall to have breakfast with my family when screams of people were heard and I rushed out to see people looking up at the sky. I followed their direction and what I saw was an impossible task a ship flying in the sky and with time it approached closer to the castle. I immediately ordered people to take arms and get on top of the castle wall. By the time my master of arms and I reached the wall everyone was with a sword and only a few who knew how to use a bow are present. This gave me a glimpse of how dependent a soldier has become on the sword and neglects any other weapons to master. The disappearance of the dragons had made people neglect the bow as a major weapon.

I was brought back from my thoughts by my master of arms and he pointed at the ship in the sky that was now hoisting a big flag with the symbol of the Tyrell family. This made me think back to the news that I received previously and my curiosity towards this unknown husband of Tyrell's young lady Margaery Tyrell whom I heard is the most beautiful woman in Westeros.

POV End.
