I took a long and deep breath after exiting the Lordspace.
"It sure is hard to control your own territory.." I thought while still on the bed.
I got up from my bed and took a long yet relaxing bath before exiting my room. It was already 8 o'clock by the time I was ready to go down to the living room.
I had already spent around two hours inside the lord space without doing anything other than recruiting two warriors(ORC) and Nightmare hounds while building the Village Smithy near the Nightmare Hounds Lair. That was all I did inside my territory after spending about two hours.
"Time sure flies, Don't you think?"

"Morning, My little lord. Don't you have work to do inside your territory?" It was my mom teasing me after noticing me in the living room.
Today was a special day as all the channels were covering similar news without their regular programs related to recruitment notices from seven major factions that actually governed the whole federation due to their power and history. Every year these factions would have recruitment notices conveyed to all the awakened lords through news or other news portals.

The recruitment examination for the last two Cities was as brutal as ever. One wanted us to hunt down the young lords from the forces of virtue while another wanted us to survive the Bloody hell for seven days which was said to be filled with several bloodthirsty monsters thirsting for the blood of human blood, especially the awakened ones.
My father was listening to the news regarding the recruitment notices posted by every floating city while checking some files on the sofa with Mom helping him from the side. All the major powers controlling a floating city each had opened the door to their cities in order to select and recruit new blood that had awakened along with me.
The powers controlling floating cities were divided into two factions as forces of light and the forces of Darkness while maintaining the stability between both forces by exterminating the same enemy, Monsters from destroying the humans on Earth.
And I wasn't interested in going to become a member of any of the floating cities for now. It wasn't I didn't have any interest in joining the floating cities, the most powerful and resourceful places on the entire earth. Rather, I didn't even pass on the basic requirements set by these cities to take part in the examinations.
I had passed the basic requirement of awakening the attribute related to blacksmithing to take part in assessment tests by visiting the 'City of Anvil' but, the information regarding me that the Federation had was me awakening without any attribute or talent making me a special type of Lord albeit in a negative way.
I was even sure regarding the fact that every lord of the floating cities within the forces of Light had a copy of the information regarding me at their front desk ready to be opened and read at any time, not only me but all the newly awakened ones that had their information provided them through the federation for authenticating us before providing with lord card.
If I were to take part in their examinations, I was sure to get exposed for having all the attributes(in place of not having any attributes) and a unique talent(no talent) once they checked my stats with their Spatial Lord Equipments that could peek at the real stats of any lord below tier-5.
As for those Dark cities, "I wasn't going to think about becoming part of them even if I were to be offered the position of the young lord of those cities or was I??"
Now I think about it, it would be safe for me to become part of those Dark cities that respected might over everything. Due to their method of recruiting(They didn't bother with knowing your stats or real name) and controlling their Disciples(Just help the city when needed), it was famous amongst criminals and those lords that weren't recorded in the Federation.
You only had to show your strength and they would protect you with their full power unlike those from the forces of light that thought about the benefit of normal people( Higher-ups from the forces) before thinking about protecting you even after showing your strength to them.
But there was one problem with being part of the force of darkness, you would become enemies of those lords from the forces of Light as well as other lords from the city you were part of if you weren't able to prove your worth in the cities ruled by the Forces of Darkness.
And, I was confident enough to prove myself to the higher-ups of these dark cities with the powerful recruits I had right now as only those that had awakened along with me were eligible to participate in the recruitment made by the cities this year.
Every year, the seven floating cities would recruit new blood from those that awakened in the same year while giving a chance to those newly awakened lords to become part of their cities for future growth. But almost 90% won't be selected to become part of these cities due to strict requirements from the cities controlled by the forces of Light and the high mortality rate on examinations conducted by the Forces of Darkness.
The ones that weren't able to join the cities would be recruited by the Federation as protectors of the Shelters like the one I was in or as explorers that explore the areas infested by the monsters and exterminators that exterminate the monsters from time to time as per the need.
The Exterminators were the highest of earners, the Explorers were the most famous due to them recording videos of several new areas, and the Protectors were local tyrants who worked as city lords in the Shelters.
These titles from the Federation might look amazing but any lowest-tier disciple of the seven cities could overpower these people if needed. It was due to differences in upbringing and the resources between these two lords.
As for the city, I would love to become part of, it would be 'The City Of Night' where I was required to survive the Bolldy hell for 7 days before being accepted as a Nightling. If and only If I was interested in joining it for now.
