Chapter 8: Being hired as a mercenary
It has been a month since Erik bought the wearhouse.
In this month he has taken many other Jobs and completed many system missions which rewarded him with many items too.
He has also learned how to use the grapple gun and he can say that he is a master at using the grapple gun.
His level has risen in this month too. His status now looks like this.

Right now Erik is in front of a very large mansion.
He cams here for his new job from the underworld. He has been hired as a mercenary to protect the client.
The client was Cert Roms. He is the CEO of The Tens Bank. There has been news that there will be a assassination attempt at Cert.
The job will pay him a whooping 10 million dollars for protecting him from any assassins for the next 2 days.
He also got a system mission for it.

He was very surprised when the had a MP5 with endless bullets as a reward and a skill. So, he was very much tempted and took the job.
Erik went to the gates and saw some guards at the gate.
When they saw Erik approaching they block his way and said," Who are you? Identify yourself."
Hearing the question Erik didn't answer and just took out a piece of paper from his pocket and gave it to them.
When they saw the paper they moved away from his way and one of the guards came forward and said,"Mr. Loren. Please follow me I will show you inside."
They called him Loren because Erik faked his name. He also wore the copy mask that allows him to copy anyone's face he knows. He copied one of the peoples face that he met in the future and wore the mask so they won't be able identify Erik.
After that the guard showed him inside to a room where many other people were there.
"They are also to protect the boss. They came from the underworld just like. You are the last one so there won't be anymore mercenaries coming. Anyone who comes after this will be considered an enemy. Do you all understand?"
The guard said.

Everyone responded.
Then Erik looked around and saw the people here.
While looking at them he saw someone who he recognized.
'Isn't that Devid?'
He stared at a tall man with black hair and blue eyes. He had many scars in his body and he was very muscular.
Devid is a former military man. After leaving the military he started taking jobs from the underworld. He was also very famous in the underworld in the future for being able to complete any task successfully.
'So that's why Cert Roms was able to survive the assassination attempt this time.'
Erik thought knowing the future.
'This mission will be easy.'
[Don't always rely on your memories from the future. The future can be changed very easily. The future has already changed by large margin because of your involvement.]

[ The job in this time will be harder than from before your regression. Though it will not be that hard for you with all that strength of yours but still be cautious.]

It was at midnight.
The client who Erik was tasked to protect was sleeping in his room peacefully like he wasn't being attempted to murder.
Erik and a few mercenaries were in front of the door of the client's room guarding him.
The others were roaming the various parts of the mansion.
"Hmph. How can someone be able to sleep when people are out for his life."
Devid said snorting. He was next Erik guarding the door.
"What can we do? Rich people and their rich mindset. Well I am getting paid. So I don't care."
said Erik.
Hearing him Devid looked at him and asked,"Why are you here? You look very young and you are here doing underworld stuffs."
"I need money. What about you?"
"Same answer. Just try not to die."
Devid said.
"Hmph. Same to you."
Erik said snorting.
Just like that 10 minutes passed with them chatting about some unimportant stuffs.
"So, like I said th--."
*Bang**Bang*
"Enemy attack!!"
Devid was saying to Erik when suddenly there was Gun shots and a shout alerting everyone.
"It has begun."
Said Erik.
Erik and the others that were guarding the door to the room stood there being alert wailing for any assassins that slipped passed the front lines came here.
