Chapter 10: Another Member
As Doraemon and Nobita were engrossed in their fascination with the dog, they suddenly heard hurried footsteps approaching their door.
"Doraemon! Nobita!!" Tamako Nobi exclaimed as she burst into the room, clearly distressed.
"What's wrong, Mom?" Nobita asked anxiously, his mind racing as he wondered if she had discovered the dog hidden in the wardrobe.
"I-I've lost my purse! It had a lot of money in it," Tamako replied, her voice filled with worry.
Doraemon and Nobita gasped in shock. The situation seemed dire, and they needed to act quickly.
"Mom, please take us to the last place you remember having the purse," Nobita urged, his mind already formulating a plan.
As they hurriedly made their way to the bank, Nobita couldn't shake off a nagging feeling that something was amiss. Nevertheless, he focused on supporting his mother, instructing Doraemon to bring the dog along as he had devised a plan to adopt the poor creature.
Upon arriving at the bank, Nobita asked his mother to recall her subsequent activities.
"W-well, after the bank, I went to the ice-cream parlor," Tamako nervously replied, feeling a bit defensive under Doraemon and Nobita's stern gazes.
"It's not about eating ice cream, Mom. It's about enjoying it together," Doraemon interjected, trying to defuse the tension.
Nobita quickly intervened, sensing the need to keep the situation under control. "Doraemon, now is not the time. Let's focus on finding Mom's purse first. Where did you go after the ice-cream parlor, Mom?"
"Well, there was a commotion nearby, and as I turned to look, someone pushed me from behind. I fell down, and when I got back up, I realized my purse was missing," Tamako explained, her voice tinged with frustration.
Before the conversation could escalate any further, the dog that had been following them suddenly jumped into a nearby bush and emerged with a purse in its mouth. It looked at them with proud eyes, as if knowing it had done something remarkable.
"W-wait, this is my purse!" Tamako exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she recognized her beloved possession. She quickly snatched the purse and held it close to her chest.
Nobita, knowing that everything had fallen into place as planned, seized the opportunity. "Mom, can we please keep him? Please!"
He picked up the dog, and both he and Doraemon gazed at Tamako expectantly, hoping for a positive response.
Unable to resist the heartfelt plea and considering how the dog had come to her aid in her time of need, Tamako relented. A smile spread across her face as she granted their wish.
The three of them exchanged joyous glances, a glimmer of hope shining in their eyes. With the dog now a part of their family, they marched forward, united by love and the promise of brighter days ahead.
Upon arriving at home they gave the dog a bath. After the bath they were met by the sight of a pearly white dog. Although Nobita knew that dog was white, he didn't expect him to be white to this extent.
Later in the Evening when Nobisuke Nobi arrives late at home after office he was greeted by his two kids and a bark.
"Huh Nobita why did you bring a dog in home ?" he inquired.
Upon hearing this the light in Nobita's eye dimmed as he asked "Do you not like him dad."
Hearing this Nobisuke Nobi shook his head and replied "I don't have any problem with him. It is just your mother will not let him live inside the house."
Just then Tamako Nobi came out of kitchen and asked in a scary voice "And what is wrong in letting this poor animal inside the house ? "
Upon hearing this Nobisuke Nobi replied "There is nothing wrong with letting him live inside the house."
Tamako Nobi smiled brightly upon hearing that. Then remembering something she turned around and asked Nobita most Nobita the most important question "What did you named him Nobita ?"
Upon hearing this Nobita replied "His name is ..."
