Chapter 18: Queen Medusa Experience Card!
"Captain, behold that man..."
Upon hearing the words of a snake man , the captain of the snake tribe cast a curious glance in that direction.
Amidst the yellow sand, a figure dressed in a black robe emerged near the water truck.
The face remained concealed beneath the black robe, rendering its features indiscernible.
Nevertheless, the aura emanating from this person compelled all the snake people to involuntarily become solemn.
A moment ago, this person stood by the water carriage, and in the next moment, he was already standing before them.
The man surveyed the corpses of numerous slain mercenaries, his eyes beneath the black robe flickering with uncertainty.
"Who is responsible for their demise?"
A cold voice escaped the man's lips.
The serpent captain replied without altering his expression:
"That individual has already departed!"
"Did I arrive too late? Did he leave in that direction?"
The man's robe slipped off, revealing a luxurious azure blue brocade attire, as he directed his gaze towards the snake captain.
By this time, the figure of this person had also materialized before everyone.
He was a man in his thirties, exhibiting the countenance of someone who had weathered trials and tribulations, yet his eyes were exceedingly sharp. He bore the semblance of a remarkably formidable human.
"Do you think I would tell you, a human?"
A playful glint appeared in the eyes of the Snake tribe's leader.
The middle-aged man's gaze grew fixed, and an icy chill suddenly permeated the air around him.
His right hand abruptly seized the captain by the neck, hoisting him up as he spoke in a frigid tone:
"Can you tell me this now?!"
"That human was driving a carriage and taking two Snake Maidens towards the east... cough cough~"
The middle-aged man released his grip on the captain, who promptly crumpled to the ground. Then, with a slight shake of his shoulders, a pair of colossal icy wings materialized.
In the blink of an eye, he soared into the sky and swiftly departed from the scene...
"Captain, will he trust you when you share false information?"
A very young snake man curiously inquired of the captain.
The leader of the snake tribe approached the water cart and, after taking a few sips, kindly imparted wisdom to the young serpent man:
"My child, there is still much for you to learn.
This man appears to be in a hurry, and he doesn't know who killed these mercenaries and took away the snake girl.
Understand that we are snake people, and the people who have taken our girls as slaves are humans.
Shouldn't we create a situation where we observe conflicts among themselves?"
"Can you comprehend my reasoning?"
The young man nodded, though his understanding was only partial...
"Let us depart. We now possess water and a cart."

Beneath the scorching sun, a carriage traversed the sweltering sand dunes.
Ye Feng drove the carriage while the DiE observed curiously from inside.
Initially, she had assumed that the young man had abruptly dragged her into the carriage because he wanted to subject her to the same fate that Luo Lan had planned for her!
However, as events unfolded, reality presented a different picture. He swiftly carried her away from that location, leaving her profoundly bewildered about his true intentions.
"Master Ye Feng, where are you taking me?"
With slightly parched lips, DiE posed a slightly puzzled query from within the carriage.
"It was extremely dangerous there. A formidable human, wielding the power of an Dou Emperor, was engaged in combat and is actively trying to apprehend you. We must depart swiftly. As for our destination... it is still undecided!"
Ye Feng, too, found himself bewildered and at a loss. It was purely coincidental that he had come across her while in a state of disorientation.
Now she inquired where this lost man intended to go?
"The Dou Emperor powerhouse?"
DiE's lovely countenance abruptly paled. Why would a Dou Emperor seek to capture her?
Who was she?
And why did that human desire her capture?
Aware of her amnesia, Ye Feng's eyes naturally darkened. With the intention of testing her memory, he retrieved a map from his pocket and handed it over:
"Examine the location we departed from and compare it with our present position..."
With a delicate hand, she accepted the map, a faint smile gracing her face concealed beneath the veil.
No wonder they had been aimlessly wandering in the desert—this young master was unaware of the way!

Upon hearing the soft voice behind him, Ye Feng's brow furrowed. After pondering for a moment, he remarked:
"In that case, let us head south!"

"And If that human chooses to believe their deception, he will undoubtedly head east. However, if he doubts their words, he will come west!"
"As for the north, it lies too far from any water sources. Our immediate requirement is food and water. Only the south provides a bit of safety!"
Upon hearing this, a peculiar glint shimmered within DiE's beautiful eyes fixed upon the young man's back.
He didn't tell DiE that apart from the distant water source in the north, there is also a marked oasis where Yue Mei's guardian commander is currently stationed..
The commanders are high-ranking snake people who would undoubtedly know her identity. Consequently... the snake people would undoubtedly seize her!
"There's a group of large sand clams ahead. Let's take a break inside,"
Ye Feng said, pointing out the direction to Butterfly.

Butterfly, who had lost her memory, was not familiar with this sand clam monster.

In Die's state of perplexity, Ye Feng halted the carriage.
In Die's eyes, Ye Feng turned around and approached the carriage. Without giving her an opportunity to resist, he extended his arms to lift her off the carriage!
Die's lovely face flushed, and she felt a mixture of anger and shyness.
