Chapter 113: something to die for

Following Ryu's disappearance two Giant stone slabs appeared in the room. The stones had carvings of huge mythical dragons with people dancing around him in circles.

Below the carving were some words written in an unknown language.

"The ancient language of the dragon warriors." Kiara walked near the stone slab and muttered while looking at the stone with awe in her eyes.

The dragon civilization was old. People didn't even know how long ago civilization existed and for how long.

The cultivators only knew about their existence through the mighty ruins left behind by them and most importantly their language which remained a complete mystery.

"No way!" Kiara suddenly cried out in shock, her eyes widened in surprise.

"I can understand what's written on the stone slab."

"Drunken flame sword."

"Ghost of Shadow Devil."

"Rampaging Demon Bow."

Kiara muttered in astonishment. Each of these weapons and techniques was of top quality not losing out to modern weapons at all.

Klassen's eyes were filled with doubts after hearing her words and he also rushed toward the stone slab to confirm her words.

"A cultivation technique at the Mana Sea Realm." Klassen's eyes shook, and his breathing suddenly accelerated. This was bound to be the most precious thing without a doubt.

"Devouring the Cosmos!"

Klassen had decided what he was going to take. He wanted to read further but the technique disappeared.

"Noooooo! Where did it go?" Klassen sounded like a mother who lost her child in a fair.

Klaseen looked at the stone slab again and again, but the technique didn't appear. In frustration, he wanted to smash the stone slab into pieces.

Suddenly his eyes landed on Dawn. Who was also looking at the stone with an emotionless gaze.

"Devouring the Cosmos! What an interesting name."

Dawn was impressed by the name of the technique. It sounded badass but he really didn't need any technique to cultivate.

"Yeah, I will take this." Dawn decided to choose the technique in his head, at first he was confused about whether to choose a weapon or a technique. But, then he remembered about Zampa and others, he needed something more than fear to ensure their loyalty.

"Yes! Choose the technique and give it to me. The Destar tribe will not forget about your contribution." Klaseen who was intently looking at the technique also urged him.

Although, Klassen had just witnessed the power of Dawn but greed was starting to cloud his judgement, after all the value of the technique was too great.

Devouring the Cosmos will allow him to cultivate to the Mana Sea Realm without any bottlenecks, that was something that only Klassen could dream of.

Klassen was also aware of his own power which is why he decided to use the name of the overlord of the barren wasteland "The Destar Tribe" Klassen believed Dawn would hand over the technique after hearing the name of the Destar tribe.

Kiara who had chosen her treasure frowned at the Klassen words, she was just about to speak when suddenly Dawn started to laugh.

"Hahahahha.. sure why not your wish is my command," Dawn spoke with a not-so-amused smile on his face.

"But, I have a question. How will I transfer it to you." Dawn asked with a sincere smile on his face acting as if giving the technique to Klassen was a great boon.

"Don't worry! I have my ways."

Seeing that Dawn agreed, Klaseen thought that Dawn feared the Destar tribe but in reality, he didn't even know about them.

Dawn once again focused on the stone pillar. The moment he decided to choose the technique, the stone pillar emitted a bright white light on Dawn's forehead and information about the technique appeared in his brain.

"Turn into a behemoth dragon and devour the sun and the moon." Dawn unconsciously muttered with a dazed expression on his face.

The information was too much he felt as if his mind would explode.

"Here take this slip and tap it on your forehead and think about transferring the information. The content of the technique will be automatically recorded in this slip."

Klaseen gleefully threw a white slip toward Dawn and instructed him.

Dawn caught the slip and looked at it with an inquisitive gaze.

"Don't worry your secrets will remain safe."

Klaseen thought Dawn might be worried about the slip so he tried to reassure him in a friendly voice.

"Are you sure about this?" Dawn once again asked him.

"Yeah trust me…"

Swish! Just as Klaseen was about to reassure Dawn his words were abruptly cut off by the sound of an arrow travelling through the air at an extremely fast speed.

Klaseen's body fell to the ground like a broken puppet whose strings had been cut off.

A hole appeared on his forehead and some of the brain matter had started to spill out of the brain case.

"Birds die for food and humans who think they are superior to birds die for greed." Dawn lightly muttered with an enlightened expression on his face, with those words he dismissed the Phantom archer.

Dawn was once again reminded that there was no difference between a bird and him as he too would one day die if he did not achieve his goal.

Kiara could look at this scene with wide-open eyes, both of them were just casually chatting with each other when Klassen suddenly fell to the ground with a hole in his forehead.

She could only look with horror in her eyes at the arrow that had fallen to the ground after failing to pierce the wall of the hall.

She didn't even realise from where the arrow suddenly appeared.

Gulp! Unconsciously she gulped and tightly held the gourd-shaped treasure in her hand.

"Don't worry I will not eat you." Dawn smiled when he looked at her reaction and tried to make her comfortable.

But sadly for Dawn, his smile backfired.

Kiara felt a chill run down her spine and hurriedly retreated.

The black-haired youth was too scary. She was starting to regret inviting him.

Kiara's golden eyes were filled with worry.
