Chapter 89: Doomsday (part 3)
At the last second as my mind went blank, I felt a hand grab onto me and pull me away from the burning sun. Waking up, I had no idea how much time had passed. My body was freezing, I couldn't open my eyes, and I felt confined. Flexing my muscles not only let me know I was still alive, but it broke apart the ice that had apparently been confining me.
My body was almost fully healed and my hair was also regrown to it's original length. Looking around me I saw many humans in a state of shock as they had just observed me breaking out of a huge chunk of ice. I also saw quite a bit of destruction around me. Where was I? How did I get here? How long was I out for? How did I heal from such injuries? These were the current questions that plagued my mind. Moving fast I went back into space to see if the people called Death and Destiny were still there, which they weren't. I wondered if they had been hallucinations due to my delirium as I was being burned alive by the sun.
Scanning for ki signatures, I felt none in space currently. Expanding it to the earth, I stopped focusing on the two odd people that had appeared in front of me while I was dying and began looking for Doomsday in case he had survived. It didn't take long before his Ki signature was found. He was back on earth and he was surrounded by a number of familiar Ki signatures I knew of.
Rushing to the scene I was met with a grim sight. A doomsday that should have never been. A Monster that I had helped create. Below me, the original Justice league had returned while I was asleep and were fighting Doomsday with the team I had created in their absence and somehow they were still on the losing end. The Justice Lords were nowhere in sight, so I figured they had been taken care of already.
Looking around at the nearby city destruction Doomsday had caused as I was out cold and the many heroes laid out on the ground which included my disciples, unaware if they were alive or dead, I had no time to self reflect, feel sorrowful or guilty. Kryl, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash were the only ones that had a bit of fight left in them, but I could tell that even they were on their last leg and barely holding on.
Seeing all of this, I began to build up my Ki, I reached Super Saiyan One with little effort as my hair began to glow a bright yellow color and my aura switched from white to yellow as well. I kept building up my strength as the rubble from the destruction around me began float nearby which caused the Heroes and Doomsday to finally take notice me.
Dark clouds began to form above the city as electric blue arcs began to flash around my body and my yellow aura and hair started to flash golden. Feeling the power surging through me I roared. "YOU LEAVE ME NO CHOICE!" I had officially become Super Saiyan Two for the first time, but I didn't stop there and continued to build my Ki even more, stopping just short of Super Saiyan three before I disappeared from view from everyone below. It would have been nice to completely skip over Super Saiyan Two and go directly to Super Saiyan Three, but it just wasn't possible for the current me.
Instantly reappearing in front of Doomsday who had been quite a distance away from me a millisecond ago, I roared out in rage. "BOW!".
Right then, in front of the heroes, the news reporters, and the whole world, the Monster Doomsday who had been causing unstoppable damage and mayhem even with most of earths heroes facing it bowed down in front of King Moonlight after being told to. To anyone watching, it looked as if Doomsday had been cast under a spell as the Monster obeyed a command it clearly did not want to obey.
King Moonlight was known for his viciousness against criminals, but hearing about the viciousness and seeing it were two different things. Everyone watched as he bent down and ripped the limbs off doomsday one by one as if he was pulling the wings off of a fly all the while Doomsday continued to bow as he cried out in pain and unable to fight back.
The Super Saiyan title perks time was up and Doomsday could move again, only he had no legs to stand on to move with so he just fell over.
"Everyone move aside, I'm finishing this". I said as I began to build up KI in my palm.
"Stop Moonlight, you can't kill him, he's sentient just like you and I" Superman yelled out towards me.
The flash zoomed my way and in my current form I could follow him with my eyes easily, in fact I could somewhat feel the speed force myself. The flash who was now in front of me spoke. "Don't do this, we are better than this, we will find a better way buddy".
Flying up into the sky I continued to build up my Ki until I had to hold the ball of ki with both hands due to it's size. A batarang came flying my way and exploded in my face, but I ignored it as I continued what I was doing. Looking down at Batman who had just been barely holding onto life, but still had enough strength to throw a batarang at me, It made me feel relieved to know he wasn't dead.
Seeing Kryl down below who was still able to stand I spoke towards him. "Throw Doomsday as high as you can".
Kryl nodded and grabbed Doomsday as Superman tried to stop him, but Kryl punched Superman, sending him flying. "Just because we have fought together, it doesn't mean we are friends and that you can get in my way Kryptonian". Kryl said as he threw Doomsday high up into the sky.
At this moment I threw out the ball of Ki I had been collecting towards Doomsday who was powerless to stop it. The world watched through the live broadcast of nearby reporters in both relief and horror as Doomsday disappeared and the beam continued on through space, not stopping.
I looked down at the disappointed Justice League who couldn't believe what they had just witnessed and then I looked down at the corpses of regular citizens who had died due to Doomsdays rampage and also my inability to end his rampage sooner. I felt extremely guilty, and even more so as I caught a falling object from the sky. It was Doomsday's head which was still intact because I had aimed my beam to hit only his body unknown to everyone below and even Superman because he had been punched away when it happened.
I wanted to kill Doomsday and I was going to until the last second when I decided to compromise. In this universe The Justice League was it's center and going against them completely was a bad idea. It was best to get along with them if I was able to. Killing was the only thing I couldn't do if I wanted to continue to be on their good side.
Although I disagreed with the Justice Lords fascist rule over their earth, I did not disagree with their methods of getting rid of Super Villains. Some people were just lost causes, plain and simple. Doomsday was one of those 'people'. Killing him would have probably been the best course of action. Luckily I do have other ways to permanently deal with such evil that doesn't involve death.
Upon seeing me catch Doomsdays head which was still moving as Doomsday tried to talk without vocal cords, the league looked a little more relieved, knowing the Alien Monster Doomsday could regrow his missing body parts if his head was still alive. It means that I had not killed him like they initially had thought.
I tossed the head down to Superman who caught it. "Follow me, It's time to show you where I keep unredeemable bastards like this Monster".
Before flying to my Castle with Superman, I picked up my unconscious but alive disciples. Kryl who followed behind picked up his grandkids who were also not dead and were awake unlike my disciples, but not able to move due to exhaustion.
As we flew to my Castle, Kryl caught me up to speed on what happened while I was unconscious.
