Kelvin's POV
It was past 10 o'clock when I got home. The living room was dark, indicating that everyone had gone to bed. I still had some work left ,so I went to study.
It was already 11:42pm when I went back to the room. The room's light was left on but the person inside was fast asleep.
She was sleeping on her side, backing the door. Revealing her pale and smooth shoulder. I looked away to avoid temptations and walked into the closet,took off my clothes and went to the bathroom to have a quick shower. When I was done bathing,I went towards the bedside table and opened up a drawer and took a packet of cigarettes and a lighter,picked up my phone and went to the balcony.
I lit a cigarette and smoked,then I dialed a number on my phone.
Hello, the person on the other end said.
Have you been able to seal the deal ?, I asked
Yes sir, we paid a total of a billion to the factory. I have the certificates with me, they are all in her name, the person on the other end said.
Uh-huh, is her office ready, I asked ?.
Yes sir, but a secretary is not meant to have a whole office to herself,Greg said with distress.
Who said she is a secretary? I'm just giving her the job, so she can be within my sight, I said as I grinded the cigarette butt on the ash tray next to me.
Ok sir, Greg sighed helplessly.
Get a new car, you know the color I want,I want it here by tomorrow morning, Kelvin said.
But sir, it's already so late,Greg said.
You know your ways Gregory,I said as I hung up.
I lit another cigarette, I was almost done when I received a message from someone.
"I will be coming back to City Z in a week, Come pick me up at the airport, I can't wait to see you. I Love You .💘"
I frowned at the message and immediately replied.
"Greg will pick you up". Then put my phone on silent mode and put the cigarette end in the ash tray.
I went back inside the room and carefully closed the balcony door, to avoid noise. She was still sleeping in the same position I found her when I came in. I opened the drawer and placed the lighter and cigarette box back in it, put my phone on the bedside table and switched off the lights, I got into bed and pulled Catherine into my arms.
Haven felt her soft body as I placed my head by her shoulder and took in the scents I was so addicted to,I closed my eyes to sleep when I heard her say,I will start work tomorrow?.
Uh-huh,I answered.
Why are you still awake?,I asked her.
The smell of the cigarette woke me up, Catherine said.
Ohh....I will close the door next time ,I said.
Ok, Catherine said.
Are you feeling better now ?, I asked feeling my younger one rising up due to the close body contact.
Yes, she answered.
I immediately turned her over and smashed my lips with hers. Then the night was a long one.

The next day.
Beep.. Beep.. Beep.
The sound of the alarm rang across the room. Catherine turned on the bed and opened her eyes.She sat up straight on the bed and noticed that the space next to her was empty.
She switched off the alarm clock and said to herself, has Kelvin gone to work ?.
At that moment, Kelvin came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his lower body.
You are still here?, Catherine asked in shock. She looked down at her naked body and quickly pulled the blanket above her chest.
What are you still doing here?, Catherine asked annoyed.
I have touched and seen everything, do you still need to cover them up, Kelvin said with mockery.
He walked towards the closet to get dressed. Catherine stood up the moment she saw him walk into the closet. Her cheeks were dead hot. Catherine goes into the bathroom and had her bath. When she finished,she came out of the bathroom, the same time as Kelvin was coming out from the closet.
I am waiting for you downstairs, Kelvin said as he adjusts his suit and leaves the room.
Catherine went to her vanity table and applied her body lotion and also blew dried her hair. The clothes in the closet were into various sections. She went into the professional outfit section,and looked for what to wear. She later settled for a white cross-crop yellow pants suits with jacket, yellow stiletto 6 inch heels ,white handbag and sunglasses.
She went in front of her vanity table and applied a light makeup, packed her head into a tight bun and wore stud earrings,a wight wristwatch and applied a floral perfume.
She transferred all the things she kept in her other bag into her handbag and left the room.
Kelvin looked back when he heard the sound of heels on the Mable tiled floor.
Catherine came down the stairs taking each stair elegantly,making her look attractive.
Kelvin was sitted at the dining, when Catherine walked into the dining,he pointed to the chair opposite him and said, sit down.
Catherine walked over to the chair and pulled out the chair and sat down. Lana then came out of the kitchen with a jug of milk in hand.
Good morning miss Catherine,Lana greeted.
Morning Lana,how was your night, Catherine greeted back with enthusiasm.
What would you like to have this morning?,Lana asked.
ummmmm... I would like to have the omelette please, Catherine said.
Lana picked the mushroom omelette and served it for Catherine on her plate.
Wait, does that omelette have mushrooms in it ?, Kelvin said.
Yes sir, Lana said looking confused.
