Chapter 59: Kabuto Yakushi!
{Somewhere on the outskirts of Ozawa Village}
{6:47 AM, 29th May 13 Yrs ANB}
{3rd Person POV}

"Sasuke!!" Naruto shouted and he rushed toward the fallen figure of Sasuke, Kakashi flickered behind him and took a couple of steps to see if Sasuke was hurt.
"I just knocked him out, he'll wake up in a few minutes," Ren spoke casually though he wasn't so calm inside, the amount of cheat-like boost that Sharingan gave created a heavy psychological pressure on Ren.
'It's an even worse cheat than my powers, the instantaneous insight into my patterns and movements is bullshit.' Ren ranted in his mind and then he turned to look at Hinata who had arrived behind her two teammates.
'Should I test the Byakugan too, the increase given by Byakugan is solely focused on reflexes, but since having the Byakugan doesn't give automatic insight into my movements I should still have the upper hand...' Ren thought but before he could move forwards Sasuke moved.
...
Pain.
Sasuke's thoughts jumped from the pain he was feeling, to the spar that he just had, and for a moment he looked out of it but then his senses went back to normal.
Blink
Sasuke blinked a couple of times, the view of rustling leaves was covered with a patch of blond and silver-gray hair looking at him in concern. Sasuke covered his indignation and he slowly stood up.
"Teme, you okay?" Naruto asked, Sasuke almost reflexively cursed at him but his eyes were then focused on the seemingly harmless genin from Team #21.
Ren didn't look dangerous but since Sasuke had just gone at him with his full capabilities he knew what kind of monster speed that body was capable of showing. After this spar, Sasuke was finally able to see Ren's current limit, although it was still a little discouraging to see that Ren was still stronger than him.
'At least I was able to force him to move at his full limits just now, even though my body was unable to react, I could trace his every movement...' Sasuke thought as he remembered the way the stoic look on Ren's face shifted into a frown when they fought. His Sharingan was able to remember everything perfectly and the fact that he was able to see Ren move at that speed meant he wasn't far from being able to compete with him.
'I need more training and once I'm at the same speed as Ren I could win...' Sasuke smiled slightly as he slowly stood up.
"You can come to the Uchiha clan compound later, I'll let you select a scroll that you want," Sasuke spoke before he turned away and walked away, the rest of team #7 hesitated, except Kakashi who happily walked back.
Ren was a bit weirded out at seeing Sasuke smile, he stared at the back of the last Uchiha before he turned to look at Naruto and Hinata.
"Let's go Naruto-kun," Hinata tugged at Naruto's jacket causing Naruto to huff and leave with the rest of Team #7.
'What did Kakashi do to the three of them, they are completely different from their past selves.'
Ren was puzzled, the changes in Team #7 didn't make sense but Hayate sensei walked to him and spoke, "So what do you think, can you take all three of them at the same time?"

'Why would I fight 3 on 1?' Ren thought.
"The Sharingan is a cheat code..." Ren grumbled causing Hayate to burst into a fit of laughter/coughing fit and Ren stared at Hayate sensei in concern.
"You don't have to tell me that, a fully matured Sharingan like Sasuke's could keep up with Jonin-level speed, it's just Sasuke's body right now isn't able to keep up with his enhanced eyesight so he wasn't able to contend with you at full speed," Hayate spoke.
"Since you can't take all three of them at the same time we have no choice but to look for a team for you, it will be almost June so you would have just one month to practice before the Chunin exams..." Hayate spoke as he looked at Ren in contemplation.
"How good is your medical ninjutsu?" Hayate asked.
"Uhh," Ren was caught off guard by the sudden question but he still answered, "I'm just starting, why?"
"I have a team that lost a member a couple of months ago, they are looking for a genin with good combat power to take part in the upcoming chunin exams," Hayate explained as both of them started going back to Ozawa Village.
'A medic-nin, that means I will have to babysit a team for the whole exams...' Ren didn't want that but then again Hayate sensei must have a reason for it.
'There is no harm in meeting them anyway...'
"So who is on that team?" Ren asked, this mission was over from their side anyway.
"Well, the medic nin's name is..."

{Training Ground #21, Konohagakure}

There are many red names that Ren encountered inside Konoha, especially in the last few months the red names have been increasing. Up till now, there were 2 different qualities of Red names that Ren had encountered, the first kind was pure civilian spies.
Professional spies that never trained themselves in shinobi arts, they don't do chakra training or missions their only job seems like was to be a 'merchant' and travel through the world listening to rumors.
The second kind was what Ren had always targeted, he had killed a total of 5 spies in Konoha, and his bounty system made sure that he escaped unscathed without leaving any clues behind. Ren wasn't averse to the idea of eliminating some of Konoha's enemies without taking credit.
Most of the spies that he had encountered were either genin or chunin. He was able to read through their stats and assess their danger before forming a plan to disable them. It was the first time though seeing the question mark in a blood-red name.
[Kabuto Yakushi Lv-???]
Ren had encountered enough Jonins by now to realize that the smiling bastard in front of him was at least Jonin level. How did Hayate sensei even managed to find the only team that had a Jonin spy hidden was a bit beyond him. Not that his teammate wasn't a spy but he was a lot more tolerable.
