Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - THE LAST GOLDEN DRAGON AND SIX GIANT MONSTERS

"You want this dragon?!" Alina yelled, spreading her wings wide to display herself well. Her display successfully irked the monsters who roared, closing in on her while brandishing the huge weapons they carried along with them. Alina smirked. That was what she wanted. She needed these monsters to loose whatever rationality they had left. "Good. Come, like the previous dragons, this dragon is all yours.!!" Alina yelled once more, chuckling afterward. The monsters seemed to eagerly accept her invitation as the weapons they had been brandishing came raining down on the spiteful dragon beneath them. Anyone seeing how big the monsters were for the first time would think the giant monsters would be slow with their movements when in truth that was not the case with them at all. Asides the fact that these giant monsters move around with no sound to let anyone aware of their arrival, another hard to believe fact is their ability to move fast when attacking.

The weapons landed with a bang, getting destroyed in the process of clashing with each other. The dust settled down and what seemed to be a bloodied meat paste of the previous monster Alina had killed, along with the destroyed weapons belonging to the six standing monsters, was revealed. Some of the other monsters were watching the scene far away and they didn't dare approach the scene due to the presence of the giant ones, but as seconds passed, they had formed an encirclement, waiting for the end of the show. The smell of the dead giant's blood already got them agitated but when the meat paste was revealed, they became more agitated, snarling loudly, expressing how bad they wanted to feast. They only needed the other giants to either die which would mean more feast, or leave the scene so they could feast all the same.

The giants looked at each other as if communicating. Then two bent down to examine the mess on the ground, poking the meat paste. One more came over and the first two stood up, moving backwards with the others. The new one inspecting the paste on the ground slowly opened it's mouth releasing a thick dark poisonous fog. After that, it waited a few moments and then finally turned to leave with the others when it got no reaction. Other monsters forming the encirclement who weren't quick to run when the poisonous fog was released were lying dead on the ground. The fog was quick to dissipate and the rabid monsters who would have rushed to feast on the corpse of their kinds surprisingly didn't go near these particular corpses.

The giant monsters hadn't gone too far when one of them suddenly gave a painful roar, clutching both of it's eyes.

"Where do you all think you're going?" A voice gently said, the words drifting into the atmosphere. The monsters turned round in search of the source but were unable to locate it. The one in pain was trying it's best not to kneel as it's howls of anguish increased. The other five stepped back, concentrating on the last one in anguish. They seemed to have figured out where the voice came from. The voice continued, chuckling darkly, "I said I was all yours. Isn't it fair that you all would be equally mine in return?" The last monster dropped heavily on its knees as sticky blood ran from it's blinded eyes and mouth. This monster in pain tried running around but it looked like it was blocked by invisible barriers on all sides. The other monsters stopped moving forward at the sight of their comrade's painful state who seemed to be begging for help.

This seemed to be a very strange sight to them. They had always been the one doing the killings and tortures. What changed? They watched as the trapped monster started rolling on the ground within it's confined space, grabbing whatever part of it's body that could be grabbed. Only Alina knew how much dark blades she had stationed in it's body. She had produced a bright light when the weapon's collided, making it look like the explosion caused it, and swiftly escaping under it's cover in human form before sneaking her way up the monster's body when they weren't paying attention while poking the meat paste moments ago.

Alina stood amidst the chaos in her human form while still covered in scales, her body encased in a dark, rotating cube, pulsating with an ominous energy. Her golden scales shimmered faintly, but it was the half-covered dark scales that now dominated her form, a testament to her descent into the forbidden.

The giant monsters, frenzied and enraged, pounded against the invincible barrier surrounding her. Their roars reverberated through the air, a symphony of fury and desperation.

Ignoring their futile attempts, Alina turned her back to them, her expression cold and resolute. With a calm demeanor, she focused her attention on the trapped monster before her. The air crackled with tension as she covered her normal eye, revealing a dark pupil that spun with an unsettling intensity.

"Explode," she whispered, her voice cutting through the chaos like a blade.

The giant monster convulsed, its flesh tearing apart from within in a grotesque display of power. A spray of blood filled the air, painting the scene in crimson hues.

The remaining monsters howled in anguish at the demise of their comrade, their primal fury escalating to new heights. They hammered relentlessly against the barrier, their claws leaving deep gouges in the air.

But Alina remained unfazed, her resolve unyielding as she wiped the blood from her face. With a sense of finality, she closed her eyes, feeling the barrier shudder and crack under the relentless assault.

As the barrier shattered with a deafening roar, the monsters surged forward, their monstrous forms a blur of movement and rage.

Alina's senses sharpened as she embraced the darkness, her mind attuned to the ebb and flow of the night. With swift, precise movements, she wove intricate hand seals, channeling the forbidden power coursing through her veins. A dark sigil materialized on her forehead, pulsating with a malevolent glow. Her eyes snapped open, twin orbs of midnight that seemed to pierce the very fabric of reality.

"Domain expansion, Dragon who rules the night!"
