This wasn't just embarrassing; it was a severe blow to his reputation.
"Feel free to try it yourself. Perhaps you will be beaten even more badly by that guy over there.
I am sure you'll be in even more embarrassing state," Kaido replied in a deep voice, already considering whether he should seize this opportunity to escape, leaving Big Mom to fight Carnes and his crew.

However, before Big Mom could fully react to the situation, a colossal figure came crashing down to the ground with a resounding,

"Ma Ma Ma Mama, if it isn't Kaido, but why are you here Kaido, weren't you planning to run, leaving me behind to face Carnes?"
"Hmm... let me guess, you are performing some kind of stunt?" she mockingly questioned him.
"Puff!"
Kaido spat out another mouthful of blood, reverting from his dragon form to his hybrid form.
He struggled to rise from the ground, his legs swaying unsteadily.
"You old hag, are you a complete fool?"
"You're the fool here, Kaido. Why are you saying that to me?"
Kaido's face contorted in anger. He had expected Big Mom to grasp the situation immediately, but she was just standing there, seemingly bewildered even making fun of him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk..."
Not too far away, Carnes sighed and shook his head.
"Kaido, it appears you aim to do what you did in the God's Valley battle, but... do you truly believe I will let you escape from here?"
"That same thing won't happen today."
Indeed, with Ulquiorra positioned high above, ready to intervene, no one could make a move and escape without Carnes' consent.
