Chapter 39: Shopping Spree

With a full belly and a satisfied smile, Sakura went upstairs to her room. The inn aunt seemed a little too kind to her but Sakura didn't think much of it.

Inside her room,

"Okay now to start planning." Sakura bought a diary and a pen. For esthetic purposes, she took a diary with a classy brown leather cover and a black ballpoint pen.

After all, she had a limited amount of time before time before the bloom cycle ended. She wanted to make some good memories in this town.

"How much time do I have again?"

<Including today it will be four days. However, you will be unable to use your clothes for shapeshifting, on the seventh day. So, you have three days.>

"Since I don't have much time, let's just focus on sightseeing this town, for now. "

Sakura started writing down what things she wanted to do. Time was tight and there was a lot of things she wanted to do.

Her first point was to buy magic-related books. Possibly books on space magic. She had checked the system for teleportation magic, but it cost a little bit too much. Even the basic space manipulation was priced at 50EP. So, she decided to look for books that teach this magic.

The second point was to become an adventurer. She was in a fantasy world. So, why not?

The other points were relatively small. Like, taste all the local cuisines. Take lots of photographs and so on.

"Done."

Sakura looked at the points again and made sure she didn't miss anything.

<How about gathering some history books master?>

"Eee, I don't wanna read you know. I hate books, they are heavy." To Sakura, books were nothing more than slabs of paper. Even in her previous life Sakura barely passed her exams. And her passing and failing depended solely on the students beside her. So, when Sakura heard about history books her face crunched into that of disgust.

<It's okay master. I can read them. And help you with information when you need it.>

"But I don't want to burden you."

<I don't mind, master. Serving you is the sole purpose of my life.>

"Pft, you kinda sound like a husband or a lover, you know." Sakura chuckled as she packed up the things in her inventory.

<I am sorry if I caused you discomfort, master.>

"Nah, you got it the wrong way. You were in fact quite funny."

<Is that so?>

"Yap."

With everything packed up, Sakura set off for the day with a Polaroid camera in hand. It was expensive. however, it was worth it. A few memories of her long immortal life will surely come in handy.

"Boss I am telling you. Miss, Abby is a great beauty." The fat lackey pursued Phil.

"For the last time, She's married," Phill said in frustration.

"Boss, that's the best part about it." The skinny lackey said.

"Nope, never."

"Aww, what a bummer." The fat lacky seemed to dim down.

Phil seeing the dim atmosphere tried to change the subject. "Okay guys, let's find a new beauty for now."

Hearing this the fat boy's eyes sparkled again. "Then how about the aunt near..."

"And no married woman's this time," Phil interjected.

The fat boy's eyes dimmed down a little. "Then how about the widow..."

"No, means no." Phil shut him off for good. If he let the fat lacky talk anymore then he would for sure go to hell after he dies.

"Oh wow, This steak is so good!" Sakura exclaimed at how good the taste was. She took a photo of the steak store and moved on. Currently, she was going somewhere she heard sells books.

The streets were as lively as ever.

The merchants were doing business. People buying goods. The carriage's running around. Knights searching for a blue-haired girl. Children playing around. some leisurely walking around. Knights searching for a white-haired girl.

"what a nice day." Sakura walked through the crowded streets taking photos every chance she could find. She didn't realize it previously but playing with a polarizing camera was really fun.

After a while of walking down the street and asking around she finally reached a store named **"Magi-Culi"**. The store was in the inner city where rich people lived. That's why the storefront was lavish and adorned with many intricate designs. One look and Sakura could tell the store was advertised for the rich. Entering the store Sakura understood why. Magic books were expensive. The magic books that were presented on the front desks were already priced at gold coins.

People cannot bring out money from nowhere like Sakura does. So, the shop obviously doesn't advertise to the poor and middle class.

Thankfully The system prices things depending on their mass and complexity, not what they're made of. So, the money Sakura brings out of the System is pretty cheap.

"Welcome, Mam. How may I help you today?" A person wearing an elegant black coat came forward and greeted her.

"Oh, I am here to look for some books magic," Sakura replied.

"As you wish mam." The man replied professionally. He led Sakura to a section where all the books were kept in a neat row of showcases. Each book had its separate glass showcase. Which made the place look very luxurious.

"What kind of books do you want mam?" He asked as they walked through the rows of showcases.

"Do you have books on space magic?" Sakura asked.

However, hearing Sakura the butler flinched and stopped.

He turned around and looked at Sakura. "May I remind you, mam. that Space magic-related books are expensive."

"So?" Sakura tilted her head in confusion.

The man thought for a moment and then his usual professional look came back.

"As you wish mam. Please follow me." He led Sakura to the upper floor. "Here we keep our most expensive items." The man courteously opened and held the door for Sakura to enter.

Upon entering Sakura realized there weren't many books in this room. Maybe seven to eight books. All are presented in a luxurious glass box.

The man in black walked to the first set of books.

"These books are all Space magic-related advanced spells. There are a total of three volumes here. Unfortunately, we don't have the third volume. There are only the 1st, 2nd, and the 4th volume here." He explained.

Sakura walked to the glass boxes and looked at the boxes. The books were black and looked no different than normal ones.

"I'll take them."

Hearing this the man visibly flinched.

"Mam, may I remind you that each book costs 20 gold coins."

'20 huh... That's a lot of mass. Is there any higher currency?' She asked Astra.

<There is platinum. It usually amounts to 100 gold coins per platinum coin.>

Sakura nodded.

"Do you take platinum coins?" Sakura asked. Hearing Sakura's words the man's face visibly turned pale.

"Ye...yes mam, we do. However, we do not refund in that case."

"It's fine. Just pack all of them. And When you're at it pack the rest of the books in this room." Hearing Sakura's words the man visibly staggered this time.

sakura on the other hand laughed intenaly. 'Hehe, no wonder rich people flex so much. Flexing just feels so good.'

After that Sakura went around the store some more and bought a shit ton of books. It just felt good when she could buy without holding back.

Funny enough platinum coins cost less EP than gold and silver coins since platinum coins are relatively small.

Heck, she was so into it that she bought a total of 20 platinum coins worth of books.

And at the end, she just threw the bag of coins on the table like it was nothing while saying, "Keep the change."

'Hehe, feels good man.'
