Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Breakup

Aubrey didn't know how much time had passed since then.

When she awoke, she had a blaring headache and her body felt weak. Although she had not done much of anything, she felt bruised and beaten.

Yet she didn't have the luxury of resting in bed. There were more important tasks at hand.

That's right! They were about to save Emery!

Aubrey got up with a start.

She looked around and realized she was in the familiar confines of her room.

Why was she in her room?!

Where was her dad and Emery?!

"Rhy—" Aubrey began to call out. But before she had finished the word the man had already appeared in front of her.

"How do you feel?" Rhyland asked worriedly as he helped her sit up from the bed. The man help her put back her keepsake that had come unclasped during the recent battle.
