Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Guild

One Piece World.

The year 1521.

The Saboundy Islands Archipelago is an island in Greenland's first oceanic area. This island is often referred to as the last island because everyone who wants to go to the New World or the second region of Greenland is required to come to this island and then hire a boat coating service so they can continue their voyage to the New World. Of course, this method is only used by people who often violate the laws set by the World Government and the Marines. While for those who followed the established rules, there was another way for them to continue their journey.

This island is located very close to the Marine Headquarters. This is what makes many criminals like pirates not dare to do big things here. Everyone will be humbled until they get off the island.

Of course, that thought only applies to pirates whose strength is weak. For pirates who have the power to dominate, they will do anything they want.

"I haven't been back for a long time, Shakky should have missed me by now"

Right now on a street in area 19 Saboundy Archipelago Island. We could see an old man with white hair walking casually toward area 13 Saboundy Archipelago Island. The man wore a white robe followed by a white shirt and shorts. It was clear that the man didn't appear to have any muscular strength. However, who would have thought that that man was a figure that was greatly feared by many people with his name already so well-known throughout this world's oceanic region?

Former Deputy Captain of the Roger Pirates - Silver Rayleigh.

"Hmmm?"

It only took less than an hour for him to arrive at Area 13. At that time Rayleigh was close to the location he wanted to go to. His attention was immediately attracted by a building close to the location he wanted to visit.

"That building…This is my first time seeing it" Rayleigh muttered under his breath while sharpening his attention using his Observation Haki ability.

"Um?"

Rayleigh's expression immediately showed a touch of surprise. This was because when Rayleigh used his Observation Haki ability. He couldn't see the inside of the store. All he saw when he used his ability was nothing but bottomless darkness. Of course, this piqued Rayleigh's interest, who was previously a pirate who loved adventure or something new.

"Interesting" A small smile appeared on Rayleigh's face, "Only this time there is something that can withstand my ability of Observation Haki. That place…doesn't seem like an ordinary place." As time went on, Rayleigh's curiosity towards the building that was built close to the location he was going to was getting bigger, "Moreover…that building was built in a location like this. The owner is not an ordinary person"

Area 13 is an area where there are no laws governing this place. Anyone who is killed in this place cannot be legally processed. Therefore, area 13 is a haven for pirates because they can do whatever they want. Only people with a certain level of strength or those people who believe in the power possessed by him dare to open a shop in this kind of place.

"Maybe I could pay a visit to have a look at the business the shop is doing. Incidentally, the location is close to our house and it's not wrong to visit while greeting."

Rayleigh immediately turned his aim by walking towards the building that had caught his eye.

Meanwhile right in the building that is close to the location that Rayleigh is currently going to visit.

Inside the building, a woman can be seen who is currently cleaning the tables used by customers for drinking or eating. The woman had the appearance of a mature woman with short black hair cut in a bob. He has white skin. The way he dresses is quite aesthetic, dominated by black.

That woman is Shakuyaku.

"Hmm?" Shakuyaku's attention was suddenly drawn toward the window and found a figure that was very familiar to him, "Ray-san?"

She immediately stopped the work she was currently doing, "What does he want to do in that place?"

An instant attraction welled up within Shakuyaku as she remembered something, "Could it be that he feels that too?"

A small smile appeared on Shakuyaku's face, "That place is quite interesting…a place that was recently built even I can't feel the appearance of this place…What exactly is inside that place that Observation Haki can't possibly see inside? "

Shakuyaku also tried to see the inside of the building. She also uses abilities similar to those used by Rayleigh. The result she got was the same. She could see nothing inside the building and could only see endless darkness.

Shakuyaku even had plans to come to the place to inspect the inside of the place. Only, she currently still had work to be done by her and planned to do it later. It's just that, seeing Rayleigh who had gone to check the place, Shakuyaku immediately discouraged her from going and preferred to wait for the news that Rayleigh would bring him.

Meanwhile on Rayleigh's side.

"Guilds?"

Currently, Rayleigh was finally right in front of the building of the Guild. When he had just arrived, Rayleigh immediately attracted his attention by the nameplate used by the building. The word that was used on the nameplate of the building was a word Rayleigh had never heard of before.

"Strange word…" Rayleigh muttered under his breath while glancing at the front of the building where the entrance to the building had the words "Opened" written on it.

"Let's see what interesting things are in this building…"

Rayleigh's smile immediately bloomed and he slowly walked towards the entrance of the building then pushed it slowly.

"Ring!..."

The ringing sound of the doorbell hanger immediately sounded the moment Rayleigh pushed the entrance door open. A man who was currently sitting casually at the administrative desk inside the building was immediately attracted by the ringing sound of the entrance bell hanging.

"The first guest has finally arrived…" A small smile appeared on the man's face followed by him slowly standing up from his seat to see the first guest who arrived, "Oh? The strategy used by me worked…" A look full of joy immediately appeared in the man's eyes upon seeing the first guest present at the business he was setting up just now.

Rayleigh, who had walked into the building, was immediately stunned by a strange object at the back of the building. These objects are two large portals. The portal has a blue color and on the inside of the portal, it appears to show a picture related to a beautiful and modern city.

"What is…a devil fruit ability?"

The first thing that came to Rayleigh's mind when he saw the two portals was the devil's fruit ability. This world is a world that has superpowers and one of the superpowers is devil fruit. Every time there is a strange phenomenon that appears in this world or anything that is slightly contradictory logically it will usually be associated with devil fruit abilities. This was also what happened when Rayleigh saw the portal for the first time.

"Hello, welcome to the Guild"

*******

"Hello, welcome to the Guild"

A male voice immediately caught Rayleigh's attention. Rayleigh immediately glanced toward the source of the voice and found a teenage boy who had a clean and well-groomed appearance looking at him while smiling politely.

"Kid, are you the owner of this place?"

Rayleigh immediately asked in a familiar tone as he slowly walked towards the man.

"Sure" The man nodded and quickly introduced himself, "Allen Migard. You can call me Allen. I am the owner of this place"

"You can call me Ray-san. People who are in this place usually call me that." Rayleigh did not introduce his real identity to the man in front of him because Rayleigh himself already had another identity in this place.

The identity is an old man named Ray who is an offshore worker and a heavy gambler.

"I will do it" Allen nodded then asked back, "Ray-san, do you intend to become an adventurer?"

"An adventurer?" Rayleigh was a little surprised by Allen's question then he immediately laughed, "Hahaha ~ How could an old man like me become an adventurer? The ones who should become adventurers are young people like you. Why don't you go on an adventure to see the world? There are many interesting things that this world can offer you. At this young age, it's a shame you just opened a shop like this and then sat here until you were old. What's so interesting about this kind of life?"

"Don't worry, I have my arrangements regarding that." Allen waved his hand and asked back, "Do you not intend to become an adventurer, Ray-san?"

"You don't need to ask me about that. There's no way for me to be one like that. My time is up and right now, I just want to spend some time relaxing on this island" Rayleigh replied politely then asked urgently, "By the way, what's the business in your place? I don't see this as a restaurant or a bar and also, what is that object in the back there? Is it perhaps some kind of entrance somewhere?"

"Using experience to infer something, huh?"

"This place isn't a bar or a restaurant like you think" Allen answered directly, "This place is a place where people want to become an adventurer no matter how young or old they are, as long as they wish, they can become adventurers. This place can also be said to be a place that can fulfill the wishes desired by someone even impossible wishes can be obtained as long as that person wants it."

"Oh? Even that which is almost impossible? Like?" Rayleigh's interest increased again listening to Allen's introduction to his place of business.

A smile appeared on Allen's face which made Rayleigh even more interested in knowing the information about this place, "…It seems to revive people who have died previously."

Rayleigh's gaze immediately went blank upon hearing Allen's words.

"Hahahah~"

The sound of laughter immediately came out of Rayleigh. It can be seen that Rayleigh is laughing so passionately that even his molars can be seen now. Allen was not angry with Rayleigh's laughter at this time because he knew that people couldn't believe what he said directly, especially people who just knew him.

Gradually the laughter died down then Rayleigh's gaze glanced at Allen, "Sorry, sorry, sorry, I couldn't stop myself from laughing. Anyway, that thing you mentioned before was a very interesting joke in my opinion."

"That isn't a joke, Ray-san"

"Hmm?"

Hearing Allen's words, Rayleigh's gaze immediately glanced at him intently.

"I didn't say anything as a joke, Ray-san." Allen retconned his earlier words and continued, "The information that I just passed on to you earlier is correct. As long as you become an adventurer and then explore the dungeons prepared by me, you will have a chance of being able to revive someone who died previously. There is an item called the Holy Grail that allows a person to grant his wish provided that the person's wish is not something that has gone too far. As long as there is someone who can obtain the item in the dungeon, he has a chance of resurrecting someone he wants to be resurrected. "

"..."

Rayleigh was instantly silenced at this. He could see from Allen's eyes that at this moment Allen was not lying at all.

"There is also an item called time cloth whose function can help to bring back the age of a person or maybe in other words rejuvenate the person. As long as someone of an advanced age obtains the item, that person can return to their teenage years." Allen continued his explanation, "It's just that, it should be noted, that person is required to find the item and naturally obtaining such an item in a dungeon isn't something easy. Very, very difficult. Even at your current level of strength, there's no way you'd be able to obtain the item."

"Oh?" Allen's last words immediately aroused the interest of Rayleigh, "You seem to know me."

"Sure" Allen gave a small smile and replied, "Former Vice Captain of the Roger Pirates - Silver Rayleigh"

"…Forget about the matter of me knowing that matter of your identity. In essence, you just need to know that everything that was revealed to me before was real. You only need to get these items in the dungeon. Before that, of course, you have to register to become an adventurer first before you can go to the dungeon."

"Basement?"

"You see the object you asked me about before?" Allen said while pointing at the blue portal at the back.

Rayleigh's gaze followed and Allen continued, "That object is called a portal. The portal itself is an entrance leading to the dungeon. The image you are currently seeing is of a kingdom in the dungeons where the name of that kingdom is Imperium Kingdom."

"Imperium Kingdom?" Rayleigh frowned, "I've never heard of this kingdom before..."

"You have never heard of it because that kingdom is not in this world"

"Not in this world? What do you mean?" Rayleigh's voice became slightly more serious than before.

"Dungeons are a location separated from this world or let's say dungeons are another world."

"Another World…"

The more Rayleigh listened to Allen's explanation, the more he felt that what he previously found in his past adventures was very small.

"Dungeons alone have fifty floors." Allen continued explaining, "Each floor is extremely large and probably…Well, it could be several times the size of this Saboundy Island. There, aside from the residents living there, there were also some kind of monsters living there. The higher the floor of the dungeon, then, the stronger the power possessed by the monster. Once someone has decided to become an adventurer, they will start at the Imperial Kingdom at level one…"

"First level?"

"Level refers to the level of strength possessed by an adventurer. The higher one's strength level, the stronger that person will be." Allen began to explain again, "Everyone who later decides to become an adventurer will get an ability called the "Status Panel". The status panel itself is an ability that allows recording basic information possessed by an adventurer. Returning to before, once one had decided to become an adventurer, the moment one entered the dungeon, one's strength would be determined by the strength attained by one during exploring the dungeon. The closest example would be, for example, Ray-san registering to become an adventurer, when you first enter the dungeon, the strength level you have will not be the same as your current level. Your strength while in the dungeon is only on par with the average adult's strength. You will be able to use your original power once you return from the dungeon."

"…Surely, the powers that belonged to you in the dungeons could go with you. For example, when your strength in the dungeon has surpassed your current strength. The moment you come out of the dungeon, your power that comes from the dungeon will come with you."

Rayleigh slowly digested the information he had just obtained.

"...Returning to the previous discussion that is still hanging. Once one had registered to become an adventurer, the first place he visited in the dungeons was the Empire Empire. This is the starting place for anyone coming to the dungeon for the first time. Adventurers can increase their strength in several ways such as taking missions on a mission board that is located somewhere in a kingdom, city, or village. Or go hunting monsters. Every time you kill a monster in the dungeon or complete a mission, the adventurer will get a kind of reward in the form of Exp where the Exp will help increase the strength of an adventurer. Of course, the prizes you get are not only that but there are also money and various other prizes."

"...The moment an adventurer's strength reaches a certain level. That adventurer can try to beat a floor boss"

"Floor boss?"

"A floor boss is a monster with the strongest strength on that floor." Allen explained again, "The location of the floor boss itself is unknown and it is required for adventurers to find the location of the floor boss. Usually, there are floor bosses just waiting and there are also those who are usually hanging around to kill or do something. Each floor boss differs in their attitude and behavior. Adventurers who later kill the floor boss alone or with a team will have the opportunity to advance to the next floor in the dungeon. Meanwhile, there were also advantages for the adventurer who killed the floor boss the first time. There are many things for those adventurers to obtain."

"Hmmm," Rayleigh stroked his white beard while processing the information he had just received then said smilingly, "Kid, can you guarantee your words? Does this place have some kind of item that can revive someone?"

"I can guarantee that." Allen nodded and continued, "Only, such an item would be impossible to obtain easily. The level of difficulty to get the item is the highest among other items. It's not even certain that someone can get the item even though the power possessed by him is very strong. There must be a luck factor that helps that person get it."

"Luck, huh?..." A stiff smile appeared on Rayleigh's face then he shook his head, "No, no, no, there's no way my luck could have anything to do with gambling. I should still have enough luck to obtain such an item"

"If you have a trusted friend or acquaintance, you can try inviting him to come here and then go with him to look for the item you want" Allen immediately advised while also wanting to use Rayleigh, "Plus your friend or acquaintance, your chances of getting the item is bigger than alone"

"Yeah, you're right" Rayleigh nodded then his gaze glanced at Allen, "Before that, I want to confirm the truth of your words."

"Confirm? What do you want to confirm?" Allen asked back "I don't want to bring in the item you want"

"What is it? Do you think this old man will steal it from you?" Rayleigh asked suspiciously.

"Isn't that so?"

"Cough~ How could an honest old man like me dare to do such an act? As long as I want it, I will try to get it. I can't possibly use such a loophole."

"Oh? Is that so? Can you explain to me why you sold yourself and then stole from the nobles who paid you?"

"Hehehe~ That doesn't count. They are my masters and I rebel. Isn't that something normal and not bad?"

"Whatever you want, Ray-san" Allen sighed then continued, "What do you want?"

"You said that the portal is the entrance to the dungeon, right?" Rayleigh asked while pointing at the blue portal at the back.

"Sure," Allen nodded then instantly guessed what Rayleigh wanted to do, "You want to confirm by looking at the dungeon?"

"Hehehe~ That should be the quickest way to go, right?" Rayleigh smiled and continued, "How?"

"No one is allowed into the dungeon except an adventurer," Allen said casually, "If you want to go in and have a look. You can register first to become an adventurer. No fees will be charged to you and also as long as you don't wish to continue being an adventurer, that's fine. Registering as an adventurer myself is only for permission to enter the dungeon. For the rest, there are no conditions that require you to go on an adventure or do something."

"Oh? Is that so?" Rayleigh asked back, "Then, I'll sign up. How to do it?"

"Good choice." Allen smiled upon hearing Rayleigh's decision to register as an adventurer.
