Chapter 8: Awakening II
As mom promised. Once we finished with breakfast and dressed up, we headed directly to awakening hall. It was rather big 3-storey building made of white stone in the middle of the city. One could see people coming in and out of it. The moment we entered receptionist in her 20s, hazel eyes, rather short blond hair and modest build came running towards us.
"Your Graces, you arrived. Let me greet you and lead you to your reserved private chamber of awakening. My name is Natasha, I will be assisting Lord Victor with his awakening."
"Hello Natasha. Please lead the way than." I answered.
Blonde receptionist led us to second floor of the building and into a spacious room with a pretty nice couch with small table next to it on one side of the room. And small table with ball of aquamarine color placed on it surrounded with something that cam be described like a magic circle and with a stool on each side of the table.
"Lord if you would please sit on the stool next to awakening table. And your Graces you please make yourself comfortable on the couch."
I sat on stool next to the table while my mom, sis and Lola sat on the couch. Receptionist sat on the stool on the opposite site of the awakening table.
"Lord Victor please put your hands on the ball from left and right."
As she told this she put her hand on top of the ball and waited. I put my hand on the ball as she requested, she smiled and started talking.
"I will start the ritual, please don't remove your hands from the ball until we complete ritual and you pick your class."
I nodded.
"Aghara metathau awaken"
After she uttered those weird words, I saw the ball light up a little. Then I felt like the stream of energy entering my hands and running around my body. After a minute or two of that current running around my body I felt like it entered my heart and then I felt like I started radiating some energy.
"We successfully awakened your mana, and I can see you have quite a lot of it. Let's proceed with class selection."
I again just nodded.
"Aghara shalketu awaken"
This time two little lights entered my body ran around in it for minute or two and then returned to the ball. After that I heard weird robotic voice in my head.
"Beep! Scan completed. Available jobs will be displayed Please close your eyes in order to see the list. Please don't read the classes available to you out loud the projection you are about to see is personal and nobody else can see it. Only the chosen class will be displayed. Once you confirm your selection of your class it will be granted to you. Beep!"
After this I closed my eyes and I felt blue window with white text appeared in front of me, it was a list of classes available to me.
First thing I did was that I filtered out all non-combat classes. There were classes like merchant, maid and so on. That will grant very beneficial skills for the profession but most of those can be gotten via lesser contract with artificial soul. So, agreement pretty much is that is you have option to pick combat class you should pick one. Even after filtering out non-combat classes, I had quite a lot of options. But I came here to pick up one specific class. So next thing I did was sorting jobs by their rarity, this pretty much puts the ones that have highest prerequisites on top.

4. Swordsaint
5. Sorcerer
6. Assassin
….
I was stoked. The class I wanted was indeed there. I concentrated on the first option "Spirit master".
"Beep! Class selected: Spirit Master. Do you want to confirm selection? Beep!"
"YES!" I answered very excitedly.
"Beep! Selection confirmed. Granting class. Please wait until the process is complete! Beep!"

"Beep! Process completed! Class was successfully granted! Congratulations! Beep!"
"Lord Victor congratulations on achieving your class. From now you are …"
I heard receptionist speak but she did not finish what she was talking. When I opened my eyes, I saw startled receptionist looking at the ball displaying my new class. I just chuckled, and finished her sentence for her.
"Spirit Master."
As I uttered those words. Lola behind me started to celebrate, she knew that is the best for our contract and She also knew how much I wanted the class so her happiness really knew no bounds. Mom and Sis chuckled on Lola's reaction and then looked at me.
"Congratulations sweetie!"
"Grats Bro!"
This woken up the receptionist out of her stupor. It was really hard for her to process what is going on.
"Spirit Master."
She repeated. She shook her head and continued.
"Lord Victor is there anything else I can help you with?"
"No thanks Natasha." I turned to Mom, Sis and Lola that was still jumping around and celebrating.
"We should go. We can celebrate at home later."
Lola stopped jumping around and all three woman nodded. We moved out of the awakening center and headed directly to mages guild that was right next to it.
Mage guild looked very similar to awakening center from outside, the only differences being it had different sign above the door and it head one more floor.
As we entered once again, we saw receptionist running toward us.
"Welcome to this humble establishment your graces! My name is Karla. How can I assist you?"
"We would like to buy some artificial souls and reagents!" Mom answered.
"Please follow me to private room!"
She led us to a spacious room on a first floor with a couch from leather similar to one in our magiwagon with a little table in front of it.
"Can I offer you something to drink, or some snacks your graces?"
"No thanks Karla!"
"Then could you please let me know what souls and reagents are you interest in please?"
