Chapter 2: chapter 2

Wow what you what kind of life her 'u as the group of people leave.

Samantha didn't glanced at her with ranging hatered and left.

What was that, I never planned to be here so what's up with that look.

"Hey, sage right..." A young boy greeted sage. "Sorry that was not the plan to welcome you, it just happened out of the blue to." He laughed awkwardly.

"No pressure..." Sage smiled. At least the're polite people.

"By the way am Nathan your half brother, welcome." Wow ok .

"Sage Rae... Which you already know...hah" way to go sage you've embarrassed your first day here, she mentally screamed.

Nathan led sageto her new room which wasn't that bad, surely it's was even great than her home room. She walked around inspecting the big room and smiled at the view out her window. You could see the whole town.

After a relaxing shower she was called to join dinner. The house had a dinning room which would raise your appetite immediately. Stating with the decor, the grey walls to the white carpet. How come it's that clean?

The dark Mable table that held expensive cateries, the golden spoons to the golden chairs, was this really necessary?

"Right?" Sage was Startled and looked at the beautiful lady beside her. " Sorry for sneaking on you, am Emily..you can call me emie.

Maybe coming here wasn't bad at all the people here we're good and they all treated her kindly but not that lady yelling a few minutes ago.

The dinner went quite well no awkward looks or feeling like an outsider, though the atmosphere was quite silent.

"Thanks for coming and sorry for what you probably heard from my mom," Luke walked next to sage in the kitchen.

"It's ok I hope am not going to be a burden here, you can always rent me a hotel room I'll be just fine."

" That's why we are family, to help each other right." He smiled taking a sip of water. "Now go say hi to your mum". Yeah right, she almost forgot about that.

On the balcony stood an elegant beauty, long brown wavy hair that got swayed by the wind. She had a lot in mind and was worried how to start a conversation with her daughter after ten years. What will they talk about, will she resent her for abandoning her.

The mother daughter duo sat next to each other silent still processing the words to say. Not being a part of each other lives made the two not to know what to say not not to say.

"Sorry for your dad's death." Sally looked at sage. Sage just shrugged her shoulders and looked at the city that eliminated light and that it carried different emotions.

"It's ok, he was my hero and I'll always remember him being the only one who had my back." Speaking of her dad she felt pain in her heart what will she do now that she's alone and not him by her side.

Having a hero like him was one of best blessings One would want. He never made her feel like he was the only one and her mom left for some reasons that they choose not to tell her.

Sally smiled bitterly and tucked her hair that had covered her face, she still remembers all the memories that she missed having with her daughter.

But she doesn't regret joining this family because there's this familiar kind of love that she gets here, and if she had to choose again she would have left.

"Why did you leave?" She never got the chance to ask and she thought it was the best to also know coz she's also part of the family.

"The're somethings that are better left that way, when the time is right I'll tell you." No sage was not buying it.

" When is that, when am old or when am tried of everyone treating me like a child ." Sage fumed, why is always telling her that it's not time yet.

"Sage am not having this conversations now," what does sage think that everything is easy. Somethings are better not said.

" Of course that's as always been your trait running and always pushing people away." Sage stood in front of her mom Sally having no choice but looking at her

"Can you please go and rest, you've had a long tired day." Sally signed.

"Nope not happening, look at me what made you leave, to come live here with people who treat you like trash?" Why does she not understand. She had everything back at home a loving husband and still a young daughter. They were not poor and both of her parents were working, what more did she want?

"What do you want from me?" They now stood facing each other.

"Answers don't you think? Or was dad not rich enough for you so you left for arich man?"

" That's not fair sage, and I'd like for you to mind your tone while speaking to me and respect my family." What did this child know, she was so quick to judge and run her mouth yet she knew nothing.

Sally walked past sage, "when you know how control you anger come and let's talk."

Sage sat there pulling her hair, she looked at the rage and fire that ran in her mom's eyes and she felt pathetic, and yes she had anger issues that one thing that her dad asked her change.

It was going to be a long year, she laid in her king size bed and counted sheep's to sleep.

sorry dad I've let you down again, I guess that's what am always good at, making people hate me. Maybe that's the reason why chase left me and bianca betrayed me, because am such a useless bitch.

she drifted to sleep tears washing her cheeks

Sally also slept in Luck's arm telling herself that everything will be okay and things will work out.

"don't worry honey, she'll come around, she's still couping with her dad's death.... come down."
