Chapter 144: 144. Vending Machine

A terrifying sound rang out in the hall as the sheath itself completely exploded sending fragments of metal flying all over the place!

Lucius's body bore the full brunt of the explosion and was sent flying!

Fortunately, Lucius had instantly covered himself with his berserk scales when he had sensed something wrong and taken no damage.

All he felt was a rough aching sensation all over his body and just lay there on the ground.

While Lucius was lying on the ground he felt a shadow cover his face.

Lucius looked past the peaks that covered his face to see Serena's smirking face.

"See I told you. Your tricks are not gonna work, you can only become an assassin in the future." 

Lucius pouted a little before suddenly jumping up onto his feet.

"So? Have you accepted it yet?"

"When did I say I was quitting? I'm just taking a little break and I'm gonna go grab some snacks."
