Chapter 16: battle at the land of waves
at the hotel that Kaoru reserved before, the face of Team 10 is really ugly.
they find so many crimes and illegal act that Gato have done since they never meet such kind of target, they want to kill him but they are afraid that will make trouble for Kaoru because Gato has so many connections even with some daimyo.
"stop making that face!"
"But, sensei, this is the first time I want to kill someone!"
Ino and Chouji didn't say it, but both feel the same with Shikamaru.
"don't worry, we will eliminate them, but you need to rest for now, tomorrow I will tell you our next move"
the three of them back to their own room, but it's impossible for them to sleep when they remember all the information they got today.
what Kaoru want is actually for them to learn that sometimes those that have authority are crueler than those who only have power.
and he didn't want his disciple to become a puppet for those old pests, that's why he have to teach them using the hard way and let them grow further, after that he has to make sure that they are not being led astray and turn like Nagato and Konan.
Kaoru started to lament that the real shinobi's world is a dark place, far different from the canon story.
if not for the fact that Obito is being manipulated by Madara, and Madara is manipulated by Black Zetsu, Kaoru maybe will join them.
he knew that to reach true peace, the only way is to erase all the humans but at least when someone is too strong they could make a pseudo-peace and stop all the misery at least temporarily.

today is a good day for massacres and the team 10 already stand by at the place.
"Ino and Chouji I want both of you to support the civilians, especially Tazuna's family"
"Shikamaru I will let you execute Gato, but make sure to help Naruto and Sasuke later if they are in danger"
"But sensei, what are you gonna do?"
for both Ino and Chouji, it's an easy task since they only need to fight against two mercenaries, and Shikamaru is on a wait-and-watch for Gato, but Ino wants to know what Kaoru gonna do.
hearing Ino's question, Kaoru only smiles and didnt answer but for his disciple, Kaoru's smile right now is scarier than ever, they have seen Kaoru's sly smile or evil smile, but this time is different.
the three of them turn silent and Ino only hopes that Shikamaru will tell her what their teacher gonna do later.

now everyone except Gato and his lackeys has arrived, and they started to fight.
Kakashi will hold Zabuza alone, and Sasuke and Naruto against Haku, Sakura will protect Tazuna when he works.
the fight is still the same as a canon and Naruto still uses the Kurama's chakra at the end.
and now Gato has arrived and it's time for Kaoru to make a move.
"oya oya, it's been a long time Kakashi-senpai"
hearing the familiar mocking voice Kakashi's face can't help but turn ugly.
"so the village chose you as a reinforcement, but my question is why you?"
Kakashi believed that the higher up already knew that Kaoru and Kakashi is like oil and water and sending Kaoru as a reinforcement is an ineffective action and maybe make the mission fail instead.
"eh? Of course, they will send me since we are really close, I'm a bully and you're the bullied, right Kakashi-senpai?"
with that explanation, Kakashi doesn't have to think anymore, he knew Kaoru comes without village approval and already makes trouble.
"Who would have thought the famous copy ninja Kakashi is being bullied by a brat"
Zabuza that in a bad condition try to make Kakashi angry by igniting his emotion, but what he got next is something that he never thought of as a missing-nin.
"Oya?" Kaoru tilts his head a say "Isn't this the famous demon of Kirigakure Momochi Zabuza, who would have thought that you will be got beaten to a pulp by a mere Kakashi-senpai"
"You!!"
hearing Kaoru's words both of them become angry but before they could talk more, Kaoru beat them.
"Zabuza, how about you work for me, you're a mercenary right?"
"what do you mean Kaoru!!" Kakashi got agitated because he think someone like Zabuza is too dangerous.
"I'm sorry I can't work for you right now, I still have a bottom line and I will not betray my employer" Zabuza knew that if he chose to work for Kaoru Kakashi cant attack him and their battle will be over, but he will never betray his employer as long as they didn't betray him first.
"Hmmm." Kaoru acted as if he is thinking but in reality, he is just buying some time for Gato to arrive.
and he didn't have to wait too long because his target is near now.
"how about we make a bet, after this I believe you will accept my invitation"
before Zabuza could talk suddenly an old man's voice is heard by all of them, and they turn to the source, what they see there is a short man with round black glasses accompanied by so many thugs.
"what happened here, oy Zabuza you said you will kill Tazuna and those ninjas, why are you the one who got beaten instead?"
looking at Gato that appears with his goons Zabuza feels something wrong.
"What are doing here Gato?" Zabuza has a guess but he wants to confirm it himself.
hearing Zabuza's words Gato could only sigh.
"That's why I don't believe a mercenary or ninja like you, you all just kill them, leave no one!"
"oy can you guys stop for a moment I still have a business with Zabuza!" Kaoru feels he is being ignored when Gato appears that's why he chose to talk now
Gato whose being interrupted look toward Kaoru, he ignore him before because he doesn't even know who Kaoru is.
"Who are you brat!"
"senpai, both of you could continue your fight but please don't kill each other, okay"
"And for you Geto-kun, I'm Makoto Kaoru, Jounin of Konoha and my disciples want to kill you, so can you die please?" as long it's not a spoiled young master, Kaoru will always be polite to his enemies.
"IT'S GATO! YOU BRAT, KILL HIM, I WANT HIM DEAD!"
with Gato's command, Kaoru got surrounded by Gato's subordinate in a second, but Kaoru didn't even care about it since the mobs in front of him were just mere thugs.
"hehe, you're a finished brat, you make boss Gato angry"
"Hey, if you look closely he is handsome, maybe we could get some pocket money"
and many more, Gato's subordinates try to intimidate Kaoru one by one, but he didn't even care about them.
Kaoru started to accumulate his chakra, and the only person who is aware of Kaoru's movement is Kakashi and Zabuza.
looking at how much the chakra Kaoru want to use both of them knew that Jutsu is at S-rank or maybe already on forbidden rank Jutsu, so they chose to retreat at the same time.
Zabuza feels a bit strange, he know Kaoru will use a strong Jutsu, but Kaoru didn't use any hand seal, Based on his understanding it's possible to skip several hand seals but not to completely skip every step.
only Kakashi and some Ninja from Konoha know that Kaoru never uses a hand seal but uses a chant instead. since for Kaoru it's much faster and easier to remember.
he has tried Kaoru's method before but since it's so foreign to him, Kakashi chose to stop and keep using the traditional hand seal.
the Jutsu that Kaoru wants to use right now is a copy of a certain Noble Phantasm, this Jutsu is suitable to deal with a crowd of mobs, and the chakra consumption is lesser than other AOE Jutsu like Shinra Tensei, Deep Forest Emergence, etc.
"It's such a pity that you guys chose to follow a man like Geto, but maybe they are right, the birds of a feather flock together"
"I hope that you guys will repent in the next life"

with each verse, Kaoru's voice becomes heavier and all the thugs become worried, but they are also afraid to approach Kaoru now, and that fear comes from their instinct as a living being to stay alive.

with the last verse from Kaoru, a spear made of earth emerges from the bellow of Gato's subordinate and penetrates all of them from their bottom through the mouth.
instantly all of them got skewered and hung high up, there are no voice, no scream, only blood, and misery.
no one could talk, Gato who lost all his men got pale and peed on his pants, and now he understood how scary a ninja can be.
Kakashi and the others also turn pale and felt nauseous since this Jutsu is too cruel, even for him he needs to do his best to avoid it because that spear is too fast.
and for Zabuza, even in the Kirigakure he never sees this kind of a way to kill someone.
for everyone that is still alive, Kaoru's Jutsu is too dangerous and Kakashi is right this is already in the rank of Forbidden Jutsu.
"So, Geto-kun can you die now?" Kaoru walks slowly toward Gato.
"Hiiiii! Get away, you demon!" Gato forced his feet and try to run far away from this place.
but there is no way for Kaoru to let him go away, within a second Kaoru appears in front of Gato and him a punch in the stomach, Gato who got punched loses consciousness and got carried by Kaoru.
"what about you Zabuza? my invitation still exists you know, work for me, you only need to protect the land of waves, you got the money, you got the place to call home, you don't need to walk aimlessly again, it's a good offer right?"
Zabuza keeps thinking, on the outside he may look calm but he is still terrified of Kaoru, and he thinking about the benefits of working for Kaoru.
"Okay, I surrender, as long as you could guarantee both Haku's and my safety and also make sure that Kirigakure will not catch us, I will work for you"
"for Kubikiribocho I don't mind returning it to Kirigakure, if my duty is only to guard this land then a normal sword is good enough for me"
hearing that Zabuza agrees to work for him makes Kaoru happy and showed a very bright smile.
but contrary to his feelings, everyone that sees his smile becomes scared instead, such a kind smile is like an angel but when it's surrounded by blood and flesh it's become similar to the devil's smile.
