As I walked among the rows of nobles at the banquet, new abilities were continuously unlocked for me.

I could now master different languages to be able to communicate in the different circles of nobles. The ability to lie allowed me to bypass diplomatic entanglements and disguise my true intentions. And knowledge of the history of the region opened up the possibility for me to be on an equal footing in discussions with other guests.
My skills in etiquette, diplomacy, and manipulation continued to develop as I ascended, and I had to temporarily mute Nori to avoid being distracted by the constant notifications.
As I bit uneasily into a sausage, an important notification suddenly pierced me, even though I had thought I had muted everything. Oh, what is this!

The looks of panic and confusion in their eyes were unmistakable.
