Chapter 71: Collecting the dirt and discussion before chaos
After 1 week..
Vishal received all the dirt on the businessmen controlling the Justice system in not only Gotham but also the entire country after Carla hacked into the intelligence and other databases which had extreme securities. Vishal made sure that her trail cannot be traced using Technomancy skill "Cyber Mountain block" which can help in creating a huge wall in cyber space blocking the trackers from passing to other side. Even if they were to climb the mountain, there are viruses implanted on them which would affect their servers so they had to turn back defeated.
This past 1 week has been spent finding the dirt. He had extended the stay in hoter for another 2 weeks as this is the time which is required for him to clean the entire Earth-70.
"System, are there any restrictions like Joker on Earth-22 that I would have to avoid or can I go wild with the cleaning?" asked Vishal.
"You can go wild 99% but there is 1% you can't touch." replied system.
"What is it?" asked Vishal.
"Just like Injustice where Batman and Superman took the help of villains from time to time, the imprisonement of Anti heroes came because Heroes and villains cooperated temporarily.
That event is supposed to happen and don't obstruct it from happening. But you can interfere after that if you want to release those anti heroes." said the system.
Vishal thanked his luck that he asked this question right now rather than later. If he cleaned the city when Anti heroes are imprisoned. There is a chance that heroes might claim that it is the work of government or metahumans under the government to cover it up.
"No way I am going to let those heroes cover up the issue or let government take credit for the cleansing I am going to do. As for the villains and those businessmen all they are getting is brutal death but not before suffering." said Vishal.
"You could've ended earth-22 problems in just few months after becoming a Nephalem. Why didn't you do that host?" asked system.
"That is the earth that I am going to live for the rest of my life. Earth-70 is something that I am going to repair completely and give it back to its residents.
Earth-22 has more heroes and villains than anti heroes but Earth-70 has enough Anti hero numbers to rival heroes and villains. These are the two main reasons and restriction to kill Joker is the third reason." said Vishal.
System became silent as the third reason is why Vishal had a tiny resentment towards it even now. It could understand first and second reasons because Vishal has a father in his world. If villains or heroes were to find out his identity then his father would be in trouble. The company they built to help the people all over the world will crash.
"It's a right thing that I made a bet with the league. This way when they lose they will be forced to not come after me. Leaving Batman and other members who haven't signed that contract, others will die if they come after me." said Vishal smiling.
"That was clever gamble even though it is only half effective host. Batman is relentless as he will keep coming at you again and again." said the system.
"Next time he will lose not only his spinal cord but also one of his legs." replied Vishal.
System shut up as it heard his reply. The time it had been with Vishal it understood one thing, if Vishal wanted to kill someone they would be dead. He kills without hesitation as he doesn't doubt his decision to kill. It knows how he is walking on a delicate rope.
It also knows that the reason he doesn't hesitate to kill the villains or criminals is because Vishal trained his mind to only take the life of irreedeemable people so that he never even dreams about killing innocent people. In this instance it found the similarity between Batman and him. It felt the irony.
Batman has trained his mind never to kill anyone while to the opposite we have someone who trained his mind only to kill criminals or villains. Both same and different at the same time.
"Have you ever doubted your way about killing host?" asked system.
Vishal rolled his eyes and said "No. That's because whenever I see innocents suffer due to villains or criminals my blood boils, my heart races so high seeing the Injustice happening that there is nothing more I want than skin the guy committing Injustice."
System knew what he said is right and it asked this question to test his resolve. Vishal passed the test with flying colours. It understood that his determination and desire to bring justice to those innocents who have been denied justice is too pure.
Carla entered the room and sat beside him. "So, when are we going to begin?"
Vishal saw the main members of each faction and businessmen controlling the justice system in the country.
Rebels, the anti hero faction: Grey Hound (Leader), Serpentria (Vice Leader), Ice Lizard, Curse Man, Cat's Eye. (Core members).
League, the hero faction: Hyper Man (Leader), Crow Man (Co leader), Miracle Woman, Speed, Mercury Manhunter. (Core Members)
Society, the villain faction: Jester, Rex Arthur, Doctor Maniac, Quantifier, Dark Adam. (Core Members)
Businessmen: Axel Vargas, Coleman Queener, Katherine Carter, Sylvia Nome, Xander Blake.
"Leaving the anti heroes and businessmen aside, the league and the society are giving a deja vu." said Vishal.
Carla laughed and said "Yeah. They look like a cheap rip off of the heroes and villains of our world."
Vishal who was trying to hold his laugh, burst out laughing especially seeing the names of Batman and Superman.
He was remembered about Dark Knight trilogy which he liked the most. He specifically remembered a dialogue at this instant and that is "A guy who dresses as a Bat definitely has issues."
"haha This guy must have even more issues in his head if he dresses like a crow haha." Vishal laughed.
"What's this hyper man hahaha. It looks too geeky for my taste and when you look at it seriously it has a serious double meaning behind it." Vishal said laughing.
Carla didn't understand what he was saying regarding Hyper Man at first.
"What's the other meaning?" asked Carla.
Vishal stopped laughing on hearing those words. "It's better if you don't know it. It is somewhat of a "masturbating" reference." said Vishal stressing the word.
As soon as she heard that Carla felt like she shouldn't have asked about it and shouted "You really have a dirty mind."
Vishal shrugged and said "Being too good isn't my forte. Sometimes thinking dirty things which wouldn't harm others creates amusement for myself."
Carla replied "I will make sure to change that mind of yours after we get married."
"All the best." said Vishal.
Carla decided to change the subject and said " So, which businessman are we going to target first?"
"All of them." said Vishal.
"What?" asked Carla surprised.
"We need to go back in two weeks Carla. I want to finish it as quickly as I can. I was able to telepathically contact my father in other universe and told him about what has happened and asked him to keep it a secret for two weeks." said Vishal.
"So, there is no time difference?" asked Carla.
"No. It was lucky that time of this earth and our earth is the same. Let's finish as fast as we can to go back quickly." said Vishal.
Carla nodded.
"First, we are going to post all this dirt into social media, send it to news channels and also send it to government. This is a three pronged attack. At least one prong will hit the target." said Vishal.
"Not bad. People, Media and government will be given a chance to bring these businessmen down before we make a move, right?" asked Carla.
"Correct. We are giving them a chance to rectify the problem themselves. If they don't then Vigilante and Phantasm will forcibly rectify it." said Vishal smiling and had a wild look in his eyes
The businessmen felt like something is looking at them but they didn't know what it is but their bodies shook for a minute before going back to normal.
