Chapter 3: Reconnaissance
The chief canceled the Christmas celebration and ordered the troops to return to guard duty. He then entered his war room inside the town hall to check if the magic tools are still working.
As he entered the war room he could see the massive round table in the center. He walk on the hard wood floor around the round table and towards the magic mirror hanging on the wall surrounded by decoration. He then touch the glass and said, "Show me my village."
As the chief said those words the mirror changed its display. The reflection was gone and now replaced with a fog.
After a few seconds passed the chief said, "It shouldn't take this long."
He then summoned the builder to examine the mirror. After about 30 minutes the builder said, "The mirror is in perfect condition. I don't see any reason as to why it shouldn't work."
The chief thought to himself, 'Without the mirror we are effectively blind. I must think of an alternative.'
The next morning,
The troops that were on guard duty last night are now drinking a cup of elixir to refresh themselves. Chief is doing the same since he spent the entire last night thinking of alternative for the mirror and didn't sleep. Now he is standing on the top of the townhall and looking at the unfamiliar landscape revealed by the morning sunlight.
"What are you planning chief?" said a beautiful women. She is one of the many villagers that live in the village, all of whom are beautiful women.
"You will see." said the chief as he handed the now empty cup to her and walked down the stares. He then headed straight for the barrack as the women followed behind him.
The moment he entered the barrack a wizard ran up to him and said, "Chief, what can I serve you?"
This wizard is responsible for the creation of the troops in the barracks. Most jobs are given to his kind because they are the smartest troop available at town hall level 8. They are also more rational and are able to speak better then others.
"I want you to make 6 wizards." said the chief.
The wizard immediately started working on the chief's orders. He took 2,600 elixir vials and poured them in a large pot. He then performed some form of magic every few seconds for 20 seconds after which he closed the lid and 10 seconds later a wizard was born. The newly created wizard was then given his signature robe and now he was ready for deployment.
The wizard that works in the barrack then repeated that process 5 more times and in 3 minutes all 6 wizards were created. The chief then told the new wizards to follow him to the dark barracks.
After entering the dark barrack another wizard who worked there ran up to him and ask the same question the last one did.
"I want you to make 18 minions." said the chief.
The minions were then created by the same process as the wizards. Only difference was that the minions used 7 vials of dark elixir and 18 seconds each to be created.
"Now, its time for you to learn about your jobs. Wizards, I want you to scout the surrounding area of the village. Each of you will be in charge of 3 minions, they will help you with your task. Remember! You must never engage any threat you may find outside unless you can't escape."
"Understood, chief." said all the troops in unisons.
"You will be leaving in 1 hour. Remember to take few days worth of supplies with you. And return by tomorrow morning even if you don't find anything useful."
1 hour later,
The 6 wizards and their subordinate minions left the village towards 6 different directions with enough supplies to last them 2 days.
"I hope they make it back alive." said the chief as he watched them disappear into the horizon.
