Chapter 15: Chapter 15 - Abandoned
He still had a mates bond yet severed hers??
Azra wanted more than anything to sever his bond but there were only 2 ways to break the bond. The female has to erase the mark from her skin herself leading to scars or having the beast die and the mark will remove itself.
Azra kissed her on the forehead and covered her in a blanket before leaving the room.

Kasia awoke to seeing her Husbands sleeping face in front of her own. Nestled in his arms she felt more warmth than she ever thought possible. What happened? Wasn't she in the woods with that beast?
Then in an instant pain overtook her body, her hands shook and she lay next to this peaceful man,her writhing in pain. Being careful not to make a sound to wake him up. She sat wondering why she felt this way. There was a huge weight in her heart, It felt like there was something wrong something she should be guilty of.
After a few moments it finally subsided and she looked up at Azra who had his eyes open and was silently watching her trying not to disturb whatever she was trying to work through.
The moment their eyes met he pulled her into a tight embrace. It felt so warm and kind, but what in the world happened?He softly pat her back thinking she would fall asleep in his arms again.
" What happened to me? I don't understand what's going on right now, My emotions seem unstable and my body feels different. Is everyone safe?"
Azra carefully pet the back of Kasia's hair as they lay snugly in each other's arms. He felt incredibly bad that he couldn't protect her from this and she may forever be different because of his lack of protection. He didn't know what the abandoned go through because it was never anything he needed to care about. But now his mate, his everything is going through being abandoned.
" That beast that you met had your mates mark and he abandoned you by removing it.
Abandoned beasts normally never recover and are always angry toward females. But I've never seen a female that could mark their mate as well so we don't know what will happen to you now that you've been abandoned. But I won't give up on you. I will never abandon you, Even if you decide that you want to live a life completely alone away from any beasts, I will be there with you and protect you from anything. Even if that's from the shadows."
Kasia was stunned and couldn't hold back her thankful tears towards this man she decided to spend her life with. How was he so kind and able to make such a promise?
Azra saw his sweet females shoulders slightly shaking as she shed tears over being abandoned... He already killed the beast that hurt her . But it wasn't slow enough now that he was watching the aftermath of the whole ordeal. She's been in and out of consciousness for the last 5 days and her body would burn as hot as fire at times.
He found that the only thing he could do was hug her close and she would eventually settle down. He was heavily grateful toward the black orbs so she would never be hungry as long as he could get her to eat one of those.
Kasia was plagued by nightmares the entire time she was unconscious but remembered nothing about them.
Azra sat by her side through all of them and comforted her every time she would call out, but unknown to her. She was constantly calling out for him which only made his guilt grow larger that he wasn't able to protect her.
"Thank you... I'm okay" she could imagine what happened to the beast that abandoned her. Kasia decided to try and stand up but her body rebelled against her as she almost dropped to the ground as a sharp pain traveled throughout her body.
Azra held her shoulders and kept her from falling. His face was downcast and fully showed how helpless he felt even if he didn't realize it himself.
As Kasia pat his hand softly to show she was okay now, she slowly made her way to Aure and sat within the healing pool for hours without saying a word to anyone or acknowledging anything that was said to her.
Three sets of eyes stared at her unmoving body as she sat deep in thought. Every few moments she would furrow her brows as the pain coursed her body.
Nobody knew how to help her through this turbulent time and could only silently watch her try to regulate her own body.
After enough time passed kasia dropped underneath the water and sat as long as her lungs would allow, or least that was the plan when a large pair of hands pulled her up. A pair of eyes watched with a worried expression.
""Please don't harm yourself... I will help you do anything. But please.. don't cause yourself more pain."
Kasia looked up at their worried expressions for the first time and realized how strange what she was doing must've seemed.
"I was trying to let Aure heal me , I asked for Aure to try to fix whatever was wrong with my body. Neither of us have ever seen anything like this Illness so I was giving enough time to try everything. Dropping below the surface of the healing pool gives Aure full control over healing whoever enters."
Before she could keep talking Azra noticed the sharp object in her hand that she kept scratching her skin with so Aure could heal and ease the symptoms. Tears formed at his eyes as he understood he can't stop her from doing something that causes such pain. Abandonment pain must be much worse...
Kasia held out her hand toward Azra and asked him to go underneath the surface of the healing pool with her so he could see what she was doing. If he thought it was dangerous he could pull her back up again. Just see for himself before deciding it was dangerous.
He was confused but decided to do what she wanted. To his surprise, when they submerged themselves completely underneath the water, he noticed she wasn't holding her breath. Reluctantly he decided to follow her lead and tried to take in a breath and while he discovered he wasn't suffocating, he also wasn't breathing. It was as if time slowed down enough for him to not die underneath the water. Aure was keeping them alive...
