Chapter 12: Shadow Realm

After Kurayami, Kaminari, Momo and Jiro return to the Monitor Room, All Might gather everyone around to discuss about their performance.
"Alright, does anybody know who's the MVP for this match and why?" All Might direct the question towards the other students.
With a thoughtful expression Ida volunteered himself to answer "Sir! In my opinion, both Kaito-kun and Yaoyorozu-san are the MVP in this match. Both of them did a great job keeping away the objective from the hero team; With Yaoyorozu-san guarding the objective with many kind of traps while Kaito-kun went to capture the hero team by himself. In other words, perfect offense and defense. The strategy that the villain team employ to counter the hero team's Quirks is also very good and effective. That's why I believe both Yaoyorozu-san and Kaito-kun deserve the MVP title in this match."
(Note: I'm not really good in this kind of analysis stuffs, so I just put whatever come to my mind for this part. Sorry, big brain people.)
The others nodded understandingly at Ida's reasoning and approved his statement.
"Hmmm, that's correct Young Ida! Good analysis! So, what does hero team do wrong in this match? Anyone?" All Might praise Ida with a thumbs up before asking another question.
"The obvious mistake hero team make is probably when Kaminari let his guard down at the beginning. There's also that time when he recklessly charge into the trap even though unknowingly and ultimately leaving his teammate alone." Sero said as he point his finger at Kaminari causing the yellow haired boy to look somewhere else when he feels the accusing eyes of his teammate.
"Yes, that's correct! Young Kaminari did let his guard down at beginning. This is a very rookie mistake. Never let your guard down, especially when you're in the villains territories. You never know when the villains gonna strike. Remember this everyone!" All Might remind his students and they all nodded their head showing their understanding, especially after they saw what just happened to the hero team in this match.
After that, they all continue to discuss about some small mistakes that both teams made during the match for almost 5 minutes.
"Ehem, Alright then, good work everyone!! And since the Battle Building C is still okay, we can just continue our combat training over there. Next teams, get ready!"

All Might gathered up all the students at the Ground Beta's exit point to say his last words before ending the class.
"Good work everyone! We didn't have any major injuries except for Young Midoriya. You guys took this training seriously too! I must say, you all did good job for your first training!" All Might said as he flash a thumbs up to the students.
"Well then, I must review the results with Young Midoriya! Change and return to the classroom!" and just like that he's gone.
"Woah, so cool!" Mineta said admiring All Might.
"Why was he in such a hurry though?" Ojiro added.
'His time limit... Just how in the world he lives with that kind of injuries... That's insane.' Kurayami thought as he walked towards the changing room with other boys.
'And he still wants to continue to work as hero even after he handed the OFA to Midoriya. What a madman...'

After changing into the school uniform, the boys continued on chatting about the training they do earlier till they reached the classroom. And yeah, the conversations become even more lively when the girls started to join in as well.
They started to form small groups to discuss about their training and all. But thing is...
"Why are you discussing about that here, specifically. Can't you discuss it somewhere else?" an irritated Kurayami said towards Mina as she, Kirishima, Ojiro, Tsuyu, Momo and Jiro gathered around his table, having a discussion about the training earlier.
His table and personal space have become a meeting place for these guys, of course he is annoyed.
"Hey, relax... I know you don't like to start a conversation with others, that's why I bring them here." Mina said cheerfully as she wink playfully at Kurayami. He can only deadpan at this girl and give up talking to her. He know it was futile, so he can only listen to these guys as they ramble on about the training match earlier.
"By the way, about that 'Shadow Realm', what was that about? I mean, how is the environment in there?" Jiro suddenly asked Kurayami. The others also become curious since they already heard the story from Jiro when she was captured by Kurayami during the training.
"... I called it 'Shadow Realm' because there's nothing but shadows in that place. That place is like a whole other world made out of shadows and nothing else but yeah, there's no living creatures in that place though." Kurayami said in a simple way for them to understand.
"A parallel world...?!" Momo gasped in surprise at this information.
"My quirk allowed me to enter and exit that place. That's how I travel through the shadows." Kurayami finished his explanation simply. Since he already mentioned about that place might as well tell them a bit about how his quirk work.
It's not like they can do anything about it.
"Woah, awesome... it's like teleportation! That's manly!" Kirishima said excitedly like usual.
"Sigh..." Kurayami can only sigh as these guys suddenly talk about Quirks.
And after a while, Midoriya finally returns to the classroom with visible injuries on his body. The others immediately gathered around Midoriya, introducing themselves and all that just like in the anime.
"Peace, finally..." Kurayami said as the people surrounding him earlier went to Midoriya.

'Oh, so he really went and chase Bakugo, huh? Sometimes, I wonder what kind of relationship these guys have. Hate? Friends? Love? It's confusing man...' Kurayami thought as he watches Midoriya run out the classroom chasing Bakugo.
'And if I'm not wrong, this is the part where they will be screaming at each other about their dream, passion or something. Not interesting...' Kurayami thought as he stands up and gathered up his stuffs, prepare to go home.
"Ohhh... you're leaving already?" Mina said as she saw Kurayami gathering his stuffs.
"Yeah, it's late..." Kurayami said as he gazed at the sky outside.
"Then, can you walk me to the station?" Mina suddenly asked.
"... Sure, it's been a while..." he agreed after some thinking.
"Yatta! Alright, wait for me, I'll get my stuffs." she cheers a bit before run towards her desk to get her bag and stuffs.
After a moment she came back ready to go, but before that she shouted towards her friends "Tsuyu-chan, Jiro-chan, I will go back with Yami. You guys don't have to worry!"
"Okay!" they both respond.
"Let's go, Yami!" she enthusiastically pulled him as they walked out the classroom.
"Hey, hey calm down, geez..." he said as he was dragged out by Mina under the gazes of their classmates.

The vibe between Kurayami and Mina as they walked towards the train station is very harmonious. They talked about mundane stuffs, laughing at jokes and such. And then come the topic about what they saw when they walked out of the class building just now.
They watch Midoriya and Bakugo screaming at each other passionately. Yeah, he was forced to watch the scene that he want to avoid the most, as Mina was so curious about them. Luckily for Midoriya, all they can hear is just the part when Bakugo declared that he just started and what not. Then the usual dialogue "I will become number 1.". #Boring.
"Hey, hey what's the deal with Bakugo and Midoriya earlier? Screaming at each other like that? I know they went to the same middle school since they know each other but, I don't understand them. Shouldn't they at least get along?" Mina asked as she looked at Kurayami curiously.
"That Bakugo is one of those guys, you know. The one with massive ego and prideful. Today, in the combat training, he lost to his 'friend'. Why? it's because of himself. And he also realized that, that's why his reaction is a bit extreme. This is probably the first time this kind of thing happened to him. And also, from what I see so far, he has this mindset that he's the strongest and unbeatable among his peers, or something like that. Well, until he saw what others can do that is. You should see his face when Todoroki freeze the entire building. He's freaking terrified." Kurayami said as he chuckled a bit at the end remembering how hilarious Bakugo's reaction towards Todoroki's deed during the combat training today.
"Ehh~ is that so... boys are weird huh..." Mina said absentmindedly while looking at the scenery around them.
"Well, I'm not gonna deny that..." Kurayami replied offhandedly. Boys are weird. It is what it is. Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
....
"And... here we go... You sure you're going to be okay by yourself from here?" Kurayami said as they arrived at the train station.
"Yeah, I'm good." She replied while smiling mischievously making him wonder if there's something wrong with this girl's head.
"Well then, I'm goi-" his next words were cut off when he felt something smooth and soft land on his cheek leaving him stunned for a moment.
He then look at the culprit and saw that she already running away from him while looking back at him cheekily while blushing.
After a moment, he finally realized that this cheeky girl just kissed him on the cheek and run away just like that.
Then his phone suddenly vibrates signaling a new notification. He unlocked his phone and saw a new message came from Mina.
"That's my revenge for yesterday, you should see your face, Hahaha!" and that's what she said.
"....This feels more like a reward rather than a revenge..." Kurayami muttered as he walked towards an empty alley while rubbing his cheek slightly.
"Heh, that girl... just wait for tomorrow, I'll get back you for this..." He said to himself before slipped into the shadow and went home.
