Cui's detector emitted a continuous warning sound, and the flashing numbers on the screen hit him like a heavy blow.
"No... impossible... how can your power level be 25,000! It's not possible! You're just a Saiyan!"
Stunned and retreating, Cui's mind was in turmoil.
Vegeta sneered and approached him slowly. "This is only a fraction of my true strength, but it's more than enough to deal with you."
"You..." Cui's face twisted with fear and panic. The detector was not lying; Vegeta's combat power truly reached 25,000, enough to eliminate him in an instant. He had to act quickly, "Ah! Lord Frieza, how did you get here?"
He pretended to be shocked, widening his eyes as if he had seen something terrifying.
Vegeta instinctively turned around, giving Cui an opportunity. He fired a barrage of energy blasts, continuously bombarding Vegeta. "Hey!" Several beams exploded in the same spot, creating deep craters and scorching the surrounding area.
"Hahaha, fool! Do you think Lord Frieza would come here in person? I lied to you! Unfortunately, you'll never know the truth. Hahaha... Ha..." Cui's laughter trailed off as his lips trembled, and his expression turned into terror.
He saw Vegeta standing unscathed.
"You really think i will fall for such a cheap trick?" Vegeta's smile grew sly, surrounded by a white aura of arrogance. "Disappear!" He raised his hand, gathering small energy bombs in his palm.
In the face of overwhelming pressure, Cui wanted to escape, but his legs felt like lead, unable to move. He was enveloped in an aura of death, unable to escape his imminent demise.
"Please, Vegeta, I surrender! I'll never dare to cross you again! Spare me, and I'll serve you, join your ranks!"
A smug grin appeared on the corner of Vegeta's mouth as he propelled the energy bomb towards Cui.
The explosion engulfed Cui's body, reducing him to pieces.
"Hmph! You want to join me too?" Vegeta sneered, glancing into the distance. "Honestly, you're not even on par with Earthlings." He stepped on the ashes beneath his feet, his expression cold.
By this time, everyone who sensed Vegeta's power assumed that a battle had erupted and rushed back to the scene.
As they arrived, they saw multiple craters on the ground, as though the area had been bombed multiple times. Smoke billowed, and scattered Saiyan battle suits and thick plasma were scattered on the ground, indicating a fierce and recent battle.
Raditz surveyed the area and inquired, "What happened?"
"Nothing much, just encountered a minor nuisance, Frieza's lackey, Cui." Vegeta's tone was casual, but a trace of intense revenge flashed in his eyes.
After all, he and Cui had fought for many years, with their power levels being quite close. Now, eliminating the other felt like a long-awaited retribution.
"It appears that Frieza's men aren't much of a threat," Goku remarked. He had realized that Vegeta had only used a small fraction of his power to easily defeat Cui, proving that Frieza's forces were not as formidable as the legends made them out to be.
"No, Cui is among the weaker ones in Frieza's ranks. He also has two guards, Dodoria and Zarbon, with power levels surpassing his. Additionally, there's the elite squad, the Ginyu Force. They're not to be underestimated," Vegeta explained, offering some insights into Frieza's forces for Goku.
Now, Vegeta wasn't afraid of facing Dodoria and Zarbon. He paid them no mind and focused entirely on one goal defeating Frieza.
"Since everything's fine, shall we continue our search?" Krillin suggested, eager to gather the Dragon Balls as soon as possible.
However, Tumat suddenly issued a warning.
Raditz turned around, vigilant. "Wait, someone's coming."
Everyone could sense the approaching presence of a powerful Ki flying towards them.
"Who could it be?"
"This aura... yes, it's Dodoria!" Vegeta's excitement grew, eliminating two opponents at once was an unexpected delight.
"There's one more!" Piccolo observed, looking in the opposite direction.
"That's Zarbon! It's a coincidence that we ran into them!"
Vegeta's five fingers flexed, his eyes filled with a cold glint—the desire for battle burning brightly within him.
Sure enough, after a short while, the two arrived in tandem.
Dodoria's bulky frame, with a chest and abdomen full of muscle, adorned in a pink battle suit, and his head and wrists bore prominent spikes. Upon landing, the ground trembled, as if a meteor had struck.
On the other side, Zarbon was much more elegant, first landing on his toes and then gently touching the ground. He had soft green hair tied into a ponytail at his back, and his face was beautiful, even slightly feminine. If on Earth, he would be considered a handsome man. Unlike Dodoria, he wore a cape over his battle suit, exuding an air of grace.
"Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz... and you," Zarbon gave a brief glance towards Goku, slightly taken aback. "Much like a Saiyan I once saw. Could you be his offspring?"
Upon proposing the elimination of the Saiyans, Zarbon had encountered a warrior resembling Goku. This warrior led the Saiyans in their resistance, and although they eventually failed, they had made a lasting impression on him.
"You mean me? I am also a Saiyan," Son Goku replied.
"Ah, I see," Zarbon nodded, a faint smile gracing his lips. "But only one of you can fight us. The rest should be afraid, as once we join forces, you'll be defeated!"
Dodoria agreed, pounding his fist, eager to unleash his full strength.
Raditz sighed helplessly, clasping his hands together. "Fine, we'll see who among us can take you on."
