Chapter 54: Robber Base
"These robbers either have no capital or are too confident in their abilities." Xiao Chen muttered under his breath.
Fang An and Xiao Chen arrived at one of the Red Scorpion Group's bases. According to the information they managed to get from the robbers they caught, this place had about two hundred members of the Red Scorpions with a dozen or so of them being first class warriors.
Xiao Chen had previously thought that the two of them were going to a fortified stronghold or at least a wooden fence but in fact what he saw was that this base was barely any different from an ordinary camp.
"The robbers live on the move and they are also targeted by the government. There's no reason for them to build a permanent base in this place." Fang An explained.
Xiao Chen narrowed his eyes, his sight ability was indeed much better than Fang An's due to the Water Ginseng he regularly consumed. Xiao Chen could see the robbers getting ready to leave the base fully armed. Xiao Chen guessed that some of the robbers who had run earlier had come to this base and had told him everything.
"Chen'er, Master can take care of them alone. You just wait here." Fang An didn't want Xiao Chen to kill too many people and was also quite confident that he could take on everything by himself.
"Master, I don't doubt your abilities but students should tag along to make sure none of them slip away and cause trouble in the future." Xiao Chen replied with a big smile.
Fang An frowned, he felt that Xiao Chen could read his mind. Fang An had indeed intended to kill a few robbers while showing off his skills so that the remaining robbers would flee. Xiao Chen knew that his Master had no intention of killing many people.

Fang An had never taught Xiao Chen how to kill like this, to be more precise he couldn't do it himself if he had the same level of martial arts as his disciple.
Recently, Fang An had begun to suspect that a great warrior was secretly teaching Xiao Chen martial arts skills when he was out and about or not paying attention. If so, Fang An guessed this warrior was at least equal to or stronger than even Jiang Kun.

In a relatively short time tens of lives were taken by Xiao Chen and what was amazing was that Xiao Chen's clothes were clean of blood because he always finished off his opponent in one attack and in a short amount of time.
In less than twenty minutes, the teacher and disciple pair managed to finish off almost all the robbers who were in the base. Only a few robbers managed to escape from the hands of the two.
Fang An let out a long sigh as he had only wiped out around twenty people, Xiao Chen was so quick to kill any robbers he encountered and moved so agilely. If Fang An didn't use internal energy and lightening skills, his speed would absolutely not be his disciple's match.
"Master, we'd better check this base carefully, there might be girls they haven't sold yet." Xiao Chen remembered that these robbers also gathered girls from the villages and towns they controlled to sell to the nobles, he thought that there might still be some in this place.
Fang An, who wanted to advise Xiao Chen for killing too much, had to delay his intention and nodded slowly, realizing that his disciple's words were true.
