Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Favorite drink
The day after, I discuss with Kei about Jean applying to her dad's company.
" Honey so y'know, I saw Kiel and Jean talking at the cafe the other day. Jean is about to apply to your dad's company ". I don't want to keep something I think is important. " Oh, Dad is the one who's gonna think about that, not me". Well, she has a point, I don't want to upset her furthermore so I stop talking about Jean.
Just a while I'm coming to work alone before but now is different. I have my side walking on the sidewalk while holding my beloved hand. Having her on my side attract other people, whenever we passed a person they were all looking at Kei. I'm happy that people who admire her are mine. I may call her mine for now but I want to pursue her while I'm the one standing by her side. I want to embrace her warm hugs and kisses. I want to enjoy every moment we share.
We arrived at work and start to do the paperwork. I take a break and go downstairs to make a coffee. I knock on Keisha's office door to invite her to have a coffee. I knock many times but she seems busy so I enter her office and saw a beautiful lady talking to Kei discussing related to work. Kei saw me and I excuse myself for bothering them.
" Hey, what's up?". She asks me and the other person turns toward where I'm standing by. I was left speechless because of how stunning the person is. I came to sense and talk. " Uh well, do you want coffee?". I ask her to invite her to have a coffee downstairs. " Yeah sure, sorry Maxine later we talk about it". She gets up in her chair and walks straight to me. I ask Kei out of curiosity what they discussing.
" What you discussing?". She replied immediately. " You remember my cousin we use to play with when we were children?". I got surprised because that child that was used to playing with is so free mind and happy child so I was too shocked to reply because of how she turned out to be. " So uh, why is she here? Didn't she leave the country?". " Yes and it is turned that she came back to the country this weekend. I either didn't know or I was shocked as well. I didn't even recognize her because she turn into a beautiful lady". " Well yes but for me you're the most beautiful in the world". I chuckle and even I got cringe at what I'm saying but that's true tho. " Oh, c'mon aren't we going to drink coffee?". " Yes, darling ".
We enter the coffee that's just nearby in our workplace. " What do you want to order Darling?". I asked her while looking at the menu they had in the cafe shop. " I'll have a cappuccino, please ". " Okay, just wait there I'll be there for a moment". I went to the counter to order, Kei choose Cappuccino and so I am. Cappuccino is our favorite drink, three of us. Whenever we got hungover this is what we drink or whenever we don't have time for breakfast in our own houses.
Just for a few minutes, I heard my name get called at the counter. The drinks are ready, I purchased them and said thank you. I went where our seats are. " Here sweetie, your drink". " Thank you, darling ". We talk for a minute and enjoy the moment. Laughing as we talk about each other. We notice the time and went back to our own office.
