Chapter 22: Chapter 22
Wen had reached his temporary room and had made some profit in the stocks and is now watching some movies as he enjoyed the time. After he was done watching the movie he left the apartment and went to a cafe to eat. He passed by some orphanages which he also visited as he gave them some money before walking away.
He reached a popular cafe in the city and had given the order as he waited for the order to come to his table. He closed his eyes and thought about something, more precisely the fact about how a member from the Asura realm had tried to come to the Earth.
'It is pretty suspicious. Beings from the Asura realm shouldn't have any reason to invade Earth, but then again I don't know what they are thinking anyway.' Wen thought to himself as he thought about it.
Eventually his order came as he enjoyed it as he thought about what to do in the future. He has been using his powers to help the general populace. Giving money to orphanages and putting good to do the jobs at those institutions, helping cases in the world so that the criminals who committed crimes would be taken by the law and a few other things that he has done to protect the good and innocent people of the world.
After he was done with that he exited the cafe and walked absentmindedly. But he stopped when he spotted someone in front of him, as he recognised the one in front of him.
"Yan." Wen said as he looked at his little sister.
In front of Wen is his little sister Yan. She is looking at him with wide eyes as she looked at him with a shocked face. She hadn't expected to meet with him as she has been unable to find him for the time.
"Big Brother." Yan said with a shocked face.
"You don't look good." Wen said with a straight face.
Yan felt her heart break a bit when she saw how he had reacted to seeing her.
'I guess I deserve it.' Yan thought to herself as she pulled herself together.
She walked to him and stood in front of him as he looked at her.
"How are you... alive?" Yan asked him as she looked at him.
"Why do you want to know?" Wen asked her in return.
"I just... want to know about you big brother." Yan said as she looked down.
"Last time I talked with you, you didn't like me being your brother did you?" Wen said to her impassively.
Yan flinched in response to his words as she knew that what he said is true.
"Can we talk?" Yan asked him, hoping in her heart that he would agree to it.
Wen kept his eyes on her as she shifted nervously as she looked down, embarrassed and ashamed.
"Yes." Wen said after a few seconds.
"Really?!" Yan said shocked as she looked at him.
"Yes. I don't mind." Wen said as he looked at her.
"T-Then, I can choose a place for us to talk. That's fine isn't it?" Yan asked him getting more hopeful.
"Sure." Wen said with a shrug.
Yan thanked him profusely when she heard that. She then asked him for permission to call someone and he gave it. She then called Lin and told her about how she had found her brother and was now going to a cafe to talk.
"You found him?" Lin asked in a surprised tone from Yan's phone.
"Yes. I'm about to bring him to a cafe. You can come right?" Yan said to the woman on the line.
"Yes. But we need a cafe where we can talk privately. I know one where we can rent a room and get more privacy. I will send you the address, go there and wait for me." Lin said to him through the phone.
"That's a good idea. Okay, well go there and wait for you." Yan said to her in response.
"Great. Make sure that he doesn't go away okay. Don't make him angry." Lin said through the phone.
"Got it. Thank you." Yan said as she thanked the woman.
She then cut the call and glanced at Wen to make sure that he was there. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw that he is still there. She then got he address to the place that Lin had talked about as she looked at it before turning to look at her big brother.
"Please follow me big brother." Yan said to her brother as she bowed to him.
"Fine. You don't need to bow to me. Let's just go." Wen said to her as he waved his hand at her.
"Okay." Yan said as she gave a bow again.
Wen just sighed as he looked at her.
"Let's just go." Wen said to her with a sigh.
"Right. I'll call a taxi." Yan said before she went to get a taxi.
She managed to get a taxi before the two of them entered the vehicle. She told the driver the address as he drove his taxi to the place. The ride there was silent as Yan was too nervous to do anything, while Wen kept his eyes shut, but he was also observing Yan as they rode.
They reached their destination as they exited the taxi and Yan paid the driver before they looked at the building. It was as a very high class looking hotel or something similar. The two do them waited by the sidelines for the last member to come.
Yan fidgeted as she stood beside her brother, a million questions running through her head but not knowing what to even say to him as she glanced at him. Meanwhile Wen himself is only standing straight with his arms crossed as he looked at his surroundings.
He would look at Yan but she would look away when she realised that he was looking at her. She didn't know how to look him in the eye without feeling any kind of guilt. But then an expensive car came to the establishment and out of it came Lin who looked at the duo.
Lin used the moment to take in the full form of Wen as she had seen that he is truly and fully alive. She has also used her abilities to look at him as she could see his chi and knew that he is truly alive. She could also feel that there was something different with his energy, of course she could also notice that because she had felt his energy before.
'If it weren't for the fact that I had felt his energy before then I wouldn't have been able to know that there was something different about him.' Lin thought to herself as she looked at him.
She walked to the duo and stood in front of the two with her arms crossed. She saw how nervous Yan looked while Wen is looking at her with a serious face, and she couldn't feel any of the previous gaze of his from a year back.
'He has changed since the last time I had talked with him.' Lin thought to herself as she looked at him.
