Chapter 71: A SILVER STREAK
We have finally arrived at their destination for a romantic date.
The beach in New York City was bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun, casting a warm and inviting glow over the sandy shores. People strolled along the waterfront, enjoying the pleasant evening, and the distant sound of laughter and waves crashing against the shore created a serene atmosphere.
I parked the car at the parking lot and stepped out of the car. We walked down the wooden pathway towards the beach, holding hands. As we reached the sand, we stopped to take in the view.
"It's so beautiful here," Sue said with a sigh as she leaned against my arm. "I don't remember the last time I came here."
"It's been a while for me too," I agreed as he wrapped his arm around her waist. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, though."
She smiled up at me before looking back out over the water. "I love the way it looks like it's glowing, don't you?"
I nodded, thinking about how nice it would be to spend some time out here with her without anyone else around.
I kissed the top of her head gently, and she snuggled into my side.
"So, did you bring any bikini?" I asked, glancing at her dress.
"Aren't you the curious one," she said playfully as she pulled away from my side to look at me. "What makes you think I'd tell you what kind of swimsuit I packed if I even packed one?"
I shrugged. "It's worth a shot, isn't it?"
She laughed softly. "You never give up, do you?"
"Nope."
She sighed heavily, shaking her head in mock annoyance. "Fine. I brought one, but I'm not going to tell you what it looks like unless..." she trailed off with a mischievous grin on her face.
I raised an eyebrow. "Unless... what?"
"Unless you give me something in return."
"Oh really? And what might that be?" I asked, already knowing what she wanted.
"I want a kiss."
I chuckled and pulled her close. "I think I can manage that."
She giggled as I leaned down to press my lips against hers. She tasted sweet, like strawberry lip-gloss. Her lips were soft and warm, and I couldn't help but deepen the kiss as I savored the feeling. After a few moments, she pulled away with a sigh.
"You're not going to let this go, are you?" she asked, her cheeks flushed pink from our brief exchange.
I grinned. "Nope."
She rolled her eyes. "Fine, fine. I guess I'll just have to show you then."
She reached down and slowly unzipped the back of her dress, revealing the two-piece blue bikini underneath. My breath caught in my throat as I took in the sight of her smooth skin and toned muscles. Her breasts were full and round, and her stomach was flat and firm. She looked absolutely stunning.
"So, do you like it?" she asked nervously as she watched my reaction.
I swallowed hard and nodded. "Very much so," I replied hoarsely.
No matter how many times I look at her, I'm always blown away by her beauty. She is the perfect combination of sexy and adorable.
Sue turned to face the ocean again and started walking towards the water.
"Come on, strip off," She said, "I want to see you in your swimming trunks."
I did as she asked and removed my shirt and jeans before following her to the shoreline.
The cool water felt refreshing on my skin as I waded through the gentle waves, and I couldn't help but admire the way Sue's body glistened in the sunlight.
"Hey, you," I called out to her as I swam over to where she was standing. "Having fun?"
She smiled brightly at me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yes! This place is amazing."
I moved closer to her and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her into a tight embrace. She giggled softly and rested her head on my chest as we floated together in the water.
"You know, I don't think I've ever felt this happy before," she whispered as she gazed up at me. "Thank you for bringing me here today."
I kissed her forehead tenderly. "I promised to keep you happy and..." I cupped her ass cheeks and pulled her closer. She clasped her legs around my waist, "...satisfied."
Dang! The thought of having sex on the beach... In this case, in sea is making me hard.
"I am," She said before giving me a quick peck on the lips. "And I hope you're happy too."
"You know the answer, don't you?" I said slightly pushing my hard on to her crotch.
She blushed and giggled before kissing me again. "Yes, I do."
After we parted, I said, "Hey, wanna try out something interesting?"
"What is this interesting thing?" Sue asked curiously.
"Encircle us within your forcefield, make sure there is enough air for us to breathe," I said.
"Ok," Sue used her power to create a square forcefield around us, pushing out the water from inside, "Now what?"
"Now," I grabbed her arm and used my gravity power to take us deep down. The moment we entered the water, the pressure of it started to make the forcefield dwindle, but I created a layer of gravity around it to keep it intact.
It worked!
"Oh wow! You have powers?" Sue exclaimed.
"Yeah, I do," I grinned.
"Does they..."
"Yeah, only Peggy knows, but I guess that mind-reading Professor X also knows," I explained.
"If you have powers, why are you hiding it? You could easily join the New Avengers or the Illuminati if you want," Sue asked curiously.
"I had a thought like that once, but I would like to stay away from that telepathy mutant as long as possible," I said.
"You don't like Professor X?"
"It's not that I don't like him, but being in the presence of someone who can read your mind isn't the most comfortable feeling."
"I can see how that might be unnerving," she said thoughtfully. "So, you don't want to be a hero, huh?"
I shook my head. "It's not that. Most of the heroes are always busy with cosmic levels of threats. So, I want to become someone like Gwen and keep the neighborhood safe."
"So, you want to be a vigilante," She asked.
"Yeah, something like that."
"Hmmm," She nodded. "That's great. And since Professor knows about you and yet didn't ask you to join them, I guess he wants you to use your powers to keep the neighborhood safe too."
I smiled. "I think so."
Sue suddenly looked concerned. "Wait a minute. If you're trying to keep a low profile, why did you bring me to a beach in the middle of New York City and use your power?"
"Me? When did I use my power?" I feign ignorance. "Isn't it your power, the Invisible Woman?"
"Haaa!? You are using my identity to cover your tracks?" She exclaimed.
"Yep. The famous Invisible Woman on a date with a famous powerless chef... Hmm, what do you think, should we go viral with it?" I teased her.
"Don't you dare," She threatened me.
I pulled her closer to me, "Or else, what?"
"I'll make you regret it," She warned me.
"Yeah?" I asked challengingly.
"Yes," She answered determinedly.
"Prove it."
"Oh, I will," She said confidently. "In your bedroom."
"I will be waiting," I chuckled. "Let's enjoy the view for now, shall we?"
She smiled and rested her head against my chest. "Sure."
We stayed like that for a while, floating together in silence as we admired the beauty around us. The underwater looks cleaner than it was a few years ago. I guess the new rule of no plastic or waste is working.
I started to notice that the forcefield was getting smaller and smaller. The air is about to run out. It's time to go back.
"Time to go," I said and started to rise up to the surface.
Huh!? What's that? A silver glint in the sky caught my attention. It was for a flickering second, but I am sure I saw a silver object flying in the atmosphere. I rubbed my eyes.
"What's wrong?" Sue asked.
"Nothing," I replied, "Let's go and grab some mocktails."
