Chapter 141: New Space
Vivian stepped inside the Mission Room.
Before coming here, she left the items she bought back at the dorm.
She had her hair tied into a ponytail, her body was draped with a White Cloak, she had her gold necklace with a stretched-out sun pendant around her neck, and wore an Earring of Spirit on her right ear.
Underneath her cloak, she wore a stretchable and fitting black longsleeve and pants, a pair of black leather gloves and boots, and had a sword and belt pouch on her waist. She also had her Earring of Vision which allows her to see in low-light environments pinned on the strap of her bra.
And as for where was her leather armor, kitchen knife and the pair of worn-out leather boots with metal plates on the tip, the armor and knife she left back at the dorm, while the boots were thrown away.
She went over to the counter where Ezekiel was standing behind at.
"Brother Ezekiel, hello."
"Sister Vivian, how may I help you?"
"I forgot to ask something earlier. Since I'm now White Cloak and only Brown Cloaks are allowed to participate in the teaching and feeding Holy Mission conducted within the city, what's going to happen to me now?"
"Oh, that one. You can ask to be transferred to another team starting tomorrow or you can finish this week's Holy Mission and then be transferred the following week."
"I see. By the way, brother, I have one more question: How do I rent my own room?"
Vivian remembered that Marie had her own room. In addition to that, given that she had many things already, it would be nice to have her own room, not to mention the many secrets she had.
"About that, you can just ask the head of the female dormitory."
"Where can I find her?"
"I'm not exactly sure where she is. But her office is at the female dorm on the first floor."

As a working adult in her previous world, one of the luxuries that Vivian would never compromise no matter what is having a peaceful environment to go home to.
Sure, one can rent a cheap apartment in a poor neighborhood in order to "save money".
However, supposing one works 10-15 hours a day but they live in a noisy neighborhood.
If they have noisy neighbors, how can one sleep?
If one can't get enough sleep, how can one recover?
If one can't recover, what will happen to their health?
If one isn't healthy, how can can work properly?
It will only lead to them being fired from their job due to poor performance.
So what was the point of renting a cheap apartment in a poor neighborhood?
Absolutely nothing.
This is why whenever Vivian hears about anyone bragging about how cheap their rent is, she can only think of one thing: That person is broke and lazy.
This is also why she has no interest or whatsoever in visiting or associating with people living in the slums or in poor neighborhoods.
And lastly, another great thing about living in rich neighborhoods and living in expensive apartments is that there are a lot of hot and good-mannered women living there and willing to play with you -- granted, of course, you also take care of yourself: you're fit, you dress nice and you have good social skills.
However, if one doesn't have the extra income to afford living in an expensive neighborhood, it's best to live in a neighborhood filled with old people.
Most old people are quiet. And if they're a Karen, much better. Just make sure to never piss them off.
"It's more or less the same," said Ezekiel.
"But let's say I have a noisy neighbor, which one will be dealt with quicker? I also want privacy," said Vivian.
"Then I would say it would be here in the compound. But if you really want privacy, I suggest you rent a house. You will also more space and your own toilet and bathroom."

Vivian knocked on a door before entering a room.
When she entered the room, she noticed that it was very clean and tidy. It also smelled nice.
There was also a strict-looking woman in her early 40s wearing a Gold Cloak seated behind a desk and reading a book.
"Excuse me, sister, is this the office of the head of the female dormitory?"
The woman put down her book and looked at Vivian.
"Yes, I am Sister Lorei."
"Sister Lorei, I'm Sister Vivian and I want to rent a single-person room here in the compound."
"Sure, sister, please take a seat."
"Thank you."
Vivian stepped forward and sat down at one of the seats in front of the desk.
"Sister Vivian, the cost of renting a single-person room here in the compound is 30 gold coins a month. It comes with a cabinet, desk with a mirror, armor stand and bed frame. However, it doesn't come with a toilet and bathroom. You still have to use the communal toilet and bathroom. You also have to clean your own room."
"I understand, sister, and I don't mind. But what I'm concerned about is the safety and silence. You see, I'm a very private, quiet and clean person and I prefer my surroundings the same. Do I have to be concerned about nosy and noisy neighbors and also if the surroundings are clean if I rent a room here? Please forgive me if I sound very rude."
A very warm and kind smile appeared on the face of the strict-looking Lorei.
"You don't have to worry about that, Sister Vivian. As a matter of fact, privacy, silence and cleanliness are things that I'm VERY particular about."

"Did I mention I love people like you, Sister Lorei? I mean, I really don't understand how is it possible that people can lack so much self-awareness that they can't give mind their own business, be silent and be clean. Like seriously, in my head I'm just like: Why? How? What's wrong with you? It completely baffles me how such people can even function in society. If you ask me, there should be a separate place where only the private, quiet, thoughtful and clean people are allowed to live in, while the rest of the lowlifes can live together in whatever shithole they call as home."
Both women looked at each other's eyes for almost a minute in silence, trying to assess each other before they both finally let out a soft chuckle.
"I know, right? It completely baffles me too," said Lorei. "It's not like they're the only ones living in this world."
"Very, very selfish and inconsiderate."
"Indeed, Sister Vivian, very, very selfish and inconsiderate."
"Sister Lorei, you have no idea how happy I am right now that I finally found someone who shares the same sentiments that I do," Vivian said with a huge smile on her face.
"Likewise, Sister Vivian," Lorei said with a huge smile on her face as well.
Vivian got up from her seat.
"Sister, I don't want to waste any of your precious relaxation time and I also have so many matters to attend to as well so I will be direct. I want to rent a single-person room right now."
Lorei got up and went over to the side. She grabbed one of the keys hanging on the wall and went over to Vivian.
"This is the key to your room, 3-08. It's located at the corner so it has two windows and the view from the south is quite beautiful."
"Two windows? Thank you, Sister Lorei."
"You should also buy bed sheets, pillowcases and curtains right away."
"I certainly will. So how do I pay?"
"The rent is two months advance without any deposit, so 60 gold coins in total. And if you want a bed, bed sheets, blanket, 2 pillows, pillow cases and curtains, it would be an additional 5 gold coins."
"And if I pay using a loan?"
"72 gold coins."
"Please."
"By the way, sister, any particular color you want for the bed sheets, pillowcases and curtains?"
"I don't mind the bed sheets and pillowcases. But for the curtains, I want something thick and dark that can block light."
"Okay, I will send someone later to deliver them."

Lorei took out an oblong-shaped green crystal that was as large as an adult's head from her desk and placed it on top.
Vivian pressed the pendant of her gold necklace near it, causing it to emit a faint glow and send the details of the transaction inside her head.
Once Vivian was done, she turned to Lorei.
"Again, thank you, Sister Lorei. It was nice meeting you."
"Don't mention it. It was nice meeting you, as well, Sister Vivian."

Vivian turned around and left.
