Faye watched as Sterling hastily exited the infirmary to hunt down someone to bring them a meal.

She was in admiration of this man's concern for her. She understood by his words today that she could not have married a better partner. He was nothing like the person she met on that cold, wet, rainy day in Wintershold.

He was so much more…

When they first met, Sterling showed her nothing but callousness and disdain. But now he acted as if she were the pinnacle of his world, that everything revolved around her needs and wishes.

He had changed. The love and devotion she had shared with him had made him change. Never did she dream things could be this way for her.

Faye sat on the cot and placed her tiny hands on the flat of her tummy. She rubbed it with her palms. Wondering how long it would be before she would feel this life growing inside of her move.
