Chapter 137: Work

Upon arrival, I greeted my parents in the usual manner before retreating to my room. Seated in contemplation, I mused, "Everything is proceeding according to plan. A few more preparations, and then the conquest begins. It's exhilarating, even with my life hanging in the balance. In fact, the thrill of death is what makes it all the more exciting, hahahaha!"

Deep in contemplation, my mind unconsciously reached for my phone, and without a second thought, I dialed Eman's number. As he picked up, his casual greeting of "Yo, what's up, Dioins" jolted me back to reality, causing me to fumble for words.

"Oh, shit, Eman, what's up."

"Not much, just chilling. Why are you calling?" Eman inquired.

I rose from my seat and paced around my room. "You need to find a job."

"What? That came out of nowhere. Seriously? Bro, what we do is my job. The fuck you mean, find a job?"
