Chapter 2: Two

S O L E I L

My eyes opened slightly to resist the light entering them. I tried to lift myself off the cold, hard floor, but I couldn't. Looking down, he saw his hands tied tightly to his legs and his back against the wall.

"Soleil , are you okay?" Looking away, Sapphire had a deep wound on her mouth. She, like me, was bound like an animal to be sacrificed. "Where am I?" I asked her, tasting blood in my mouth.

"I don't know, Soleil . I woke up and saw us like this. 'My head hurt like hell and the last thing I remember was going to the mall.' Then it hit me." In the middle of the day, Sapphire and I went to the mall to buy a nice dress for a family dinner she was also attending. her friend Luke later in the week.

Then we went to the library to buy a book for her brother. When we were halfway through the driver suddenly stopped and before we could say flapjack he got out and while the two men in the backseat joined us the other man took over.

Before I could call for help, I was hit by a hard object.

I closed my eyes and opened them again to see if I was really trapped in a smelly place... "This place smells like blood and horse urine." Had she been in, she would have vomited a million times," Sapphire said, confirming my thoughts.

In a different situation, I would have laughed out loud, but now the thought has crossed my mind. "Who do you think brought us here?" asked Sapphire .

"Maybe a cult," I had no choice but to answer.

Her brother Henry and Her friends. Selvirio, Duke, and Sapphire 's forced boyfriend Luke have been against the town's major cult for years, and it's entirely possible that it's their retaliation.

"What cult?" Sapphire was so talkative at this point, she wondered how well she was coping with the situation. I hate to admit it. Because behind my happy, cheerful and always smiling personality hides a weak and frightened child who lost his parents too early in life. When I was about to answer, "It's the same...", the door suddenly opened, and the sound of the door being pushed hard enough to hit the wall echoed through the empty room.

A tall man came in. He walked with a cane to help him move, but he had scars on his face that made him look more than 60 or 65 years old.

"Why are there two girls?" he asked, looking back at the boys behind him.

They answered him in a language I didn't quite understand.

"So you're saying this is a mistake," he said, pointing at me. He turned to the men with guns and they nodded. "Bring me Deamon . You don't need it. Better waste it." Useless, killing.

how did i get here

With tears running down my face and my heart pounding, I wanted to be free and tried as hard as I could to untie the rope from my hands, but it didn't work. "Luke must be lucky to have such a beautiful wife as you." The man touched Sapphire 's face, and Sapphire nearly spat at him.

He grabbed her by the hair and immediately hit her.

Holding her hair down, he said, "Perhaps Luke hasn't told you anything about his past, miss. "Fuck you, listen to me, coward, a million times. Fuck her." The man angrily threw her across the room. Her head hit the wall. The impact made her scream. "You'd better keep your sanity a little longer, little girl, or call your sons and ask them to take turns with you over and over until your little body wears itself out to death." I'll see," he threatened, speaking of Sapphire . floating. She didn't move and scared me. She wanted to call her name, but she knew she couldn't.

He turned to me and glared at me.

"What's your name?" he asked suddenly, washing his hands. "Soleil ," I answered tearfully.

"It's such a beautiful name. It's such a shame that I have to waste you. Do you know why?"

He asked and I shook his head. "You are an unexpected kidnapper. "She was the target, not you. If you see God there, tell God to give you happiness in the next life." looked down and kept asking God for one last chance.

Suddenly the door opened for the second time.

A really good smell came through my nostrils and I wondered where this good smell was coming from. It didn't smell so good when I first came here, but now I have to get used to the smell of wood. Just like the smell of books, it invites me to the library every time.

When I looked up to smell it, the first thing I saw was who had it, a gun. I couldn't run very well, so I moved closer to the wall, hoping that it would open and swallow me.

The old man in front of me got up and walked towards the man who came in with the gun. "Waste her," he instructed.

The man immediately readied the gun as instructed. I looked in the direction the gun was pointing.

Our eyes met and my eyes widened in shock. His deep blue eyes pierced my heart and made me shiver from the bottom of my heart. Suddenly I wanted to run up to him and hug him tight, but I couldn't because the circumstances didn't justify it.

With the gun still pointed at me, he grinned, dropped the gun again, and cursed viciously.

"What's wrong, Deamon ? Kill her!" the old man yelled at him.

"I can't," he simply replied. "why?"

*mate*

My eyes widened again when I realized that he hadn't opened his mouth to say anything, yet I could hear the word "mate."
