Chapter 22: The beginning of a fun life...

Pov Luna Lestia:

Seeing Kylo's behavior at that party, I knew he had some kind of plan in mind, as his reaction, when Adam and Valeria left the room, was one of urgency.

I thought he would confront them by following them, but he did not.

He checked where they were hiding and then went back to the party to call Aunt Arabella and Countess Steele.

Witnessing that action, I knew immediately what plot he had in mind. My most sincere thought on the matter was.

(Is this your plan? It's too much to mediocre).

He may still have feelings for Valeria, since, according to my theory, this Kylo from my third life is someone who experienced similar events to those in my first life.

(Although, if I think about it, maybe that's enough for him, but... not for me).

There was no need to go easy on the hero Kylo hated. Honestly, the hero's accomplishments weren't that hard to replicate.

I could replicate them too, and in a more perfect and intelligent way.

So I decided to show Kylo how to effect revenge in a cleaner way.

Cruel and with no escape.

"Elara, look, Kylo and Auntie are going to play somewhere else," I nudged her lightly, pointing to Kylo's actions.

"¿Y? It's weird that you care about that, Luna," she replied, though the moment she saw Kylo head for the exit of the room, I could see a glint of curiosity in her eyes.

(She's the Elara of my first life...)

A completely innocent, curious and, above all, mischievous Elara.

Taking advantage of that innocence, I hinted to her:

"I don't think they'll be upset if you go play with them, isn't it your birthday? Maybe a good surprise awaits you," I told her.

It will certainly be a good piece of work; you are going to see a story of forbidden love.

Elara looked at me for a few seconds, before turning her eyes towards the exit of the room, and then went to talk to her mother.

(Let's see how this turns out).

--

Today is the day I join Elara to live and train with her. There were no major events different from my first life. Yet.

The only thing out of the ordinary would be the absence of the hero and Valeria, but it was an event that I witnessed and propitiated, so it doesn't count for me.

I arrived early, as my father always sought to be on the best of terms with the royal family, something I personally consider unnecessary.

I spoke with Elara and could see that Frederick had also arrived early. I didn't get too close to them and only shared a few words with Frederick, but they were only polite.

We waited for a while before Kylo finally arrived.

As Kylo was getting out of his carriage, I could sense something different about him.

(His aura is darker and stronger).

This Kylo was certainly much more talented than the one from my previous lives, something I was very pleased with.

(The more talented Kylo is, the more monstrous my Lumine will be).

When he came down, he didn't walk towards us like he was supposed to, instead, he extended a hand towards the carriage and out of it came... A girl?

A pink-haired, blue-eyed girl, someone completely foreign to my memories.

(What?)

Her aura, however, was unabashedly similar to the hero's, something unheard of, for if she had existed in my other lives, I would surely have known about it.

(She's like those little girls, isn't she?)

Like Kylo's monster daughters in my second life, an outsider to this timeline.

--

Pov Kylo Stromcrest:

As I got out of the carriage, along with Adelina, the first thing I saw was Luna's face with a very strange look on it. I quickly ignored her because she was making me nervous.

(Okay, here we go...)

"Greetings everyone, and thank you so much for inviting me, Princess Elara," I briefly introduced myself to everyone present just to get their attention.

"Come on Kylo, don't be so formal. We're friends, aren't we?", Elara immediately came to greet me and even took my hands naturally.

(Hitting me with the table at your party sure makes us close friends, huh, but I wonder what the icy guy's reaction was?)

Frederick was a very jealous guy in Adam's story, so this kind of approach would surely trigger a reaction, right?

Glancing slightly at the icy guy, I could see that he was looking at Adelina with a stupid face...very stupid.

(I guess that's what love at first sight looks like.)

(But it's awkward for me that you stare at her so blatantly.)

Don't get me wrong, the moment I learned of Adelina's existence and that she was reincarnated, I stopped seeing her as a woman.

The problem is that Adelina is right next to me.

Just as I was about to clear my throat to get him to react, a curious mission appeared.

[ Optional mission: Origins.

Description: Reincarnated or not, you cannot escape your own blood.

Success conditions: Embrace Adelina's waist in front of her first lover.

Completion reward: The seal of a trait is undone. ]

(!!!)

The moment I saw this mission, I immediately got down to business.

"Ouch!"

I was so excited to have a new space to put my features, I applied a little force....

"..." Adelina rolled her eyes at me for a few moments before saying something dreadful.

"~Master, not in front of everyone~" she said as she covered her "reddened face" and looked away.

As he hesitated on how to respond to everyone's accusatory stares, the mission was completed.

[Mission Completed:

Completion Reward: Unlocked the trait "????".]

(???)

I got confused, and when I saw that in my status window, the characteristic empty space sign did not come up and instead, question marks appeared.

"Now that I see you better... you look more handsome, Kylo," Elara said once again, coming closer and putting a hand on my cheek, innocently.

Thus began my two years of training, years in which very absurd things happened around me.

--

A month has passed.

Today is April 20, year 840, of the light calendar.

During this month, we have had theoretical classes on many things related to this world, such as countries, historical events and other subjects.

But today is different.

Today begins the real physical conditioning, and then training like real knights or mages.

Even if you don't have an innate talent to be a knight, the royal family always makes sure that their descendants have an excellent physical condition and a superficial knowledge about the techniques and tactics that knights are used to.

This is in case of any eventuality.

"Huff."

That sound came out of my mouth, expressing my weariness.

We were doing laps on a field the size of a soccer field and, inevitably, my body was taking its toll on me.

"Kylo, are you okay, do you want to get some rest?" said a cute Elara next to me, as she supported me.

(How kind of Elara... Should I...?)

The original Kylo's body was very fragile, and although I currently possess the trait of the demon king's body, the progressive increase in physical ability doesn't happen overnight.

Unlike a certain heroine who had the hero's body from birth and a certain genius whose talent makes him worthy of being a target for capture.

(I think it's time...)

Fortunately, this is where my cheats make their appearance.

"Elara, could you give me a little kick of encouragement," I said haltingly, but my eyes conveyed my determination.

She looked at me hesitantly for a moment before nodding and....

Arggggg!

She slapped me hard on the back.

(Fuck, that was strong!)

But it worked.

[ Imperishable Activated: Physical Resistance +1 (hidden), Resistance +1, Physical Resistance +1].

Imperishable, a trait that gives me stats and resistances when I enter "combat", was activated. And not only that trait.

[ Regeneration Supercells Active ]

Sure, since this trait consumes vitality and mana, I will inevitably feel terribly tired at night, but it will be worth it to support this training.

Recovering my posture, I prepared to continue.

"Thank you, Elara. Thanks to your support I can continue," I said earnestly.

"No, you're welcome," she replied nervously, turned her head awkwardly and set out ahead, keeping a moderate pace to give me a chance to catch up.
