Chapter 24: Heroes grow in... adversity?

In a moderately luxurious room, a young brown-haired man was sitting quietly in bed after having finished his "activity".

As he watched the sleeping maid he had just slept with, the young man went into the famous "sage mode".

Although the maid was not the most beautiful, her body was undoubtedly the best among all the maids working for his father.

(Ha ha ha ha! I love this damn life).

This young man was none other than Adam Sherden, the male protagonist of Aerial Chronicles.

As time passed, his sage mode deepened, until a certain embarrassing memory came to his mind.

(Damn, I was one step away, just one step away, and she would be completely mine).

Adam deeply regretted his failure at that princess party, where he was supposed to conquer Valeria Steele and, as a special bonus, her fiancé should also be around.

(Why, why did those bastards come to interrupt my moment?)

He was referring to Valeria's fiancé and his companions, including the princess, whom he had his eye on from the moment he saw her.

(I have a status window and even an inventory, that means I'm the hero of this world, right?)

Adam didn't know what world he was in, but he remembered some stories of his friends and, most of all, his lovers.

(The girl with glasses and big butt said that, what was she like? Marine, Sofia?, I don't remember).

On Earth, among the many mistresses he had, one in particular was a fan of light novels, and every chance she got she would mention things like isekais, transmigration and reincarnation.

For someone like Adam, whose fantasies were fulfilled in reality thanks to his blessed life, he wasn't too fond of such pastimes, but for that girl's body, it was worth sacrificing a little.

(Who would have thought that he would come to a similar world...).

Ever since he found out about his status in this world, Adam has been looking for those so called clichés that his friends and the girl with glasses were referring to.

(The sexy mother or stepmother, the childhood friend, and the incestuous sister...).

Remembering what happened after the party, his anger increased.

(Not only did I not graduate with her (Valeria), I even lost my sexy sister).

An attractive, pink-haired, blue-eyed young woman he had his eye on and identified as the incestuous sister from a novel.

(Come to think of it...isn't this the typical cliché?)

A cliché where the villain kidnaps the main heroine and then the protagonist has to go through hardships while meeting beauties who will help him and become his harem, finally getting the most beautiful of them all in a final battle with the villain.

(Ha, ha, ha, ha, that must be it. Who knew? I even have a plot like the plumber with the mustache. Ha, Ha, Ha).

As for what his fate would be like at the hands of the villain, Adam wasn't worried, since he knew that all villains were retarded.

(Those bastards only know how to talk and talk).

The girl with glasses always said that the villains in the novels were eunuchs, since, having such a tremendous beauty, they would just wait for the hero to show up and beat the shit out of them.

"Adam, remember, today you have to go to the guild on your father's orders." His mother, Baroness Amara Sherden, walked in without asking permission and told him.

She didn't question him about the maid, treating him as if it was natural for her beloved son to have a woman in bed.

(Tsk, that stupid punishment from the old man).

As punishment for grandly earning the hostility of the Stromcrest, his father, Cedric Sherden, forced him into the adventurers' guild to once again prove to Countess Steele his talent and convince her that he was worth investing in.

"Yes, mother, I will earn many achievements to prove that I am worthy of Valeria," Adam said in a serious voice, unlike what he thought.

(Tsk, Tsk, thanks to that, I won't be able to do things with her either...).

"Well, my beloved son, I also warn you that mom will stay with the countess for a while," Amara finished her business with that announcement.

(Well, the countess is reliable, so I don't think anything will happen to her. In fact, it will only add to my father's disregard for her, and when I come back.... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh.)

"Okay, mother, take care of yourself and say hello to Valeria if you find her," Adam replied, and also made a smitten face when he mentioned Valeria.

His mother just sighed and left.

(Well, it's time to try this "hero's body").

--

Adam, after registering in the guild like in those cliché novels, chose a simple quest for newbies like him:

Goblins.

He already had armor and a sword at the ready, courtesy of Countess Steele.

(It's easy, with my strength, I just hit them in the head and they'll explode like watermelons.)

Adam's thought was half right, as the hero should indeed kill Goblins relatively easy.

But that would only happen 2 years after training with the princess, something that a certain person prevented...

--

Deep in a forest in Steele territory, a young man named Adam Sherden was venturing into his first fearsome challenge. With a defiant look on his face and a trembling sword in hand, the novice hero faced a goblin, a malevolent and malicious looking creature.

(You will be my first stepping stone to success).

Despite his lack of experience, Adam did not flinch. Arrogance flooded his being, and he believed that his innate trait "Hero's Body" would make him invincible. "I, the future hero Sir Adam, will finish you off, you wretched goblin," he proclaimed in a cocky tone.

The goblin, laughing mockingly, brandished his paralyzing knife, ready to take on the bumbling young hero. Adam, oblivious to the real danger, moved awkwardly, displaying his ineptness in battle.

Swish! Whoosh!

The goblin, seizing the opportunity, launched a swift and accurate attack. Adam barely managed to dodge the blow, but his lack of agility was exposed and his uncoordinated movements became his undoing.

Slash!

"Damn, this bastard is pissing me off," Adam thought.

Despite his clumsiness, Adam managed to land a few weak blows on the goblin. But the goblin was cunning and fought back fiercely.

Whoosh! Swish!

Adam was at a disadvantage, but his arrogance and bravery blinded his judgment. Despite his efforts, the goblin seemed to be one step ahead with every move.

Swipe!

Shhht!

"AAAAAAAA!"

In one swift movement, the goblin managed to wound Adam with its paralyzing knife. The poison from the lethal weapon spread through the young adventurer's body, threatening to paralyze him completely.

(WHAT IS THIS?! WHAT IS THIS?!?!?!?!)

Adam felt his strength waning, but with a last-ditch effort, he managed to summon all his courage and focus on a desperate strategy. With a cry of determination, he lunged towards the goblin.

Swish!

Shhhhhhhhrrrrrrr!

Adam's sword met the goblin's neck in a precise and accurate strike. The goblin, surprised by the young adventurer's desperate attack, fell lifeless to the ground.

Adam fell to his knees, exhausted and weakened by the paralyzing poison coursing through his body, but that didn't stop him from letting out a great cry of victory.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YES, I AM THE FUCKING HERO, YOU FUCKERS! I AM INVINCIBLE!" his jubilant voice echoed through the forest.

Attracting the attention of a few more Goblins....

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrr?"

--

About five minutes later...

Three goblins appeared and, the first thing they did, was to look at their fallen comrade before turning their attention to Adam, who was kneeling and completely motionless.

Realizing the presence of more goblins and his current state, Adam's thoughts turned chaotic.

(NO, HOLY SHIT!, I CAN'T MOVE, THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME!!!, NO, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, I'M THE HERO!!)

As the "hero" panicked, a goblin pointed to the wound Adam had, a consequence of his past battle.

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.... Krrrrrrrrr.... Groooorrrrrrr..."

"Snarl! Snickering... Grumble... Hssssss..."

"Chitter! Chatter... Mumble... Grunt!"

The three goblins discussed something before dropping their weapons, something that relieved the hero for a few moments.

(Maybe they're scared..., holy shit, I almost scared myself half to death).

Unfortunately, his relief didn't last long.

(What, what are they doing?)

Why he saw, how they took off their skirts, exposing something very brutal.

Goblins, as a rule, are accustomed to kill any man they capture, this is because the only use they have is as food.

But the fate of women is more... brutal, they are used to give birth to more goblins to expand their clan.

In that instant, the great appearance combined with his tender age and... a certain trait, made the Goblins confuse Adam's sex, coming to a conclusion.

(No, don't come near me, don't come near me!)"

The goblins took advantage of the poison paralyzing his entire body, and then tore his clothes.

(What are you doing?! Stop, STOP!!!)

Continuing, they settled him into a familiar pose, one he had done all night with the fair maid yesterday, but instead of holding the leash, he was... the dog.

If only he had read his skills, if only he had thought of a word, if only he had prepared himself before....

Pam! Pam! Pam!

"Aaaaaaaaaa!" A series of screams, this time filled with pain, echoed through the forest."

--

In the end, a group of adventurers passing by heard the future hero's wailing and, when they arrived, they found a scene of terror.

A poor novice was mistaken for a woman and was the victim of a heinous act, so cruel that the master of that branch of the guild declared a mass extermination campaign to prevent other novices from suffering such a pitiful fate.

Fortunately, Adam survived.
