Chapter 6: ZA SHOPUU

As Shirou woke up, he noticed a peculiar sensation around his eyes. Despite this, he attempted to open them and was astonished to find that his vision was clearer than ever before. Everything appeared sharper and more vibrant.

He instinctively reached to touch whatever was surrounding his eyes, but before he could, the door to the room swung open. Kiritsugu entered, his expression reflecting a mixture of confusion and amazement at Shirou's seemingly miraculous recovery from the brain aneurysm he had suffered just the day before upon unlocking his circuits.

Kiritsugu approached Shirou and asked with concern, "Shirou, how are you feeling? You endured a severe brain injury yesterday when you unlocked your circuits." Shirou replied, his voice filled with a mixture of confusion and wonder, "I feel fine, Dad. Better than ever, in fact. I don't remember anything that happened after unlocking my circuits. Can you explain?"

Kiritsugu took a deep breath and proceeded to enlighten Shirou, "You have awakened a mutation known as Mystic Eyes. These eyes are a result of the circuits around your eyes undergoing a transformation, granting you the ability to perceive and interact with mysteries through sight alone." Shirou's memories flooded back, remembering the overwhelming rush of information that had consumed him.

Shirou's head throbbed with pain as he clutched his temples, trying to ease the discomfort. Kiritsugu watched him with concern and asked, "What's wrong, Shirou?" Shirou's voice strained, and he replied, "I remember now. When I opened my eyes, it was like I could see everything. Every detail was so vivid, even the tiniest speck of dust. But it overwhelmed my brain, and I couldn't handle the sheer amount of information."

Kiritsugu processed this revelation and realized the danger that Shirou's newfound Mystic Eyes posed. However, before he could delve into the topic, he noticed something peculiar. "Shirou, since I entered the room, you've been staring directly into my eyes, even with the blindfold around your eyes. That should be impossible unless you can actually see me," Kiritsugu pointed out.

Shirou looked puzzled as he replied, "I can see perfectly fine. What blindfold are you talking about?" Shirou reached up to his eye area and felt a piece of fabric covering his eyes, a blindfold he was completely unaware of.

Kiritsugu was astonished by the fact that Shirou's eyes allowed him to see perfectly fine even while completely covered. It was a relief for Kiritsugu, as it meant they could postpone the search for Touko, who was currently in hiding due to a sealing designation from the Clock Tower. "Thankfully, there's a small blessing in this situation," Kiritsugu thought to himself.

He turned to Shirou and said, "Shirou, for now, keep the blindfold on and refrain from using any mysteries. Your circuits are still new, and we need to be cautious not to overwhelm them. Stay here while I go out and get us some takeout. It's been two days since you last ate. Is there anything specific you'd like?"

Shirou replied, "Uh, anything is fine. Thank you."

"Alright, I'll be back in a minute," exclaimed Kiritsugu, leaving Shirou alone in the room. Seizing the opportunity, Shirou opened his status panel to examine his stats. His intelligence was now at an impressive 20, while his charisma had increased to 15. Shirou was taken aback by the sudden increase in intelligence, realizing that it must have been a result of his newest perk, Magus.

Curiosity piqued, he decided to explore the other options of the system. With the word "quest" in mind, a holographic window appeared before him, displaying two tabs: ongoing quests and completed quests. To his surprise, the ongoing quests tab was completely empty, but the completed quests tab had an exclamation mark. Using his finger to tap on it, Shirou opened the tab and discovered that he had somehow finished a quest, though he had no recollection of undertaking it.

Shirou was taken aback as he looked at the magnificent short sword in his hand. Though for him, being a 7-year-old child, it appeared more like a scimitar. He couldn't help but be in awe of its beauty and power. The temptation to test out its clone ability surged within him, but he quickly recalled Kiritsugu's warning and decided against it. Shirou didn't want to admit that he had encountered the legendary King of Heroes, as he couldn't reconcile the fact that this golden figure he met was considered a hero when he hadn't saved anyone. With a sigh, he set aside those thoughts and focused on exploring his inventory tab, where he stumbled upon something that left him shocked.

Avalon, the Everdistant Utopia

Rarity: Divine

Type: Scabbard

Description: Avalon is the sacred scabbard of the legendary sword Excalibur, representing the utopia pursued by King Arthur. It was tragically stolen from him just before the pivotal Battle of Camlann. The scabbard presents itself as a resplendent piece of armament, crafted in pure gold and adorned with exquisite azure enamel. Its appearance resembles that of a ceremonial coat of arms, intended to showcase the divine nature and noble lineage of its owner, akin to the regal crown of a king.

A sheathe crowned with the name of the land of fairies that appears in the legends of King Arthur, said to be wreathed in everlasting spring. It is a paradise reminiscent of the island in Greek mythology where the gods grew their golden apples of immortality. Not only does the holy sword's sheathe heal all of its owner's wounds and stagnate their aging, but when its true name is called it even decomposes into hundreds of parts and protects them from all interference. It is a Noble Phantasm at the level of magic, that completely shuts out all physical interference, transliners from parallel worlds, and communication from other dimensions (up to the sixth).

Current Owner: Artoria Pendragon

Abilities: (LOCKED) (though it does give very minor healing to Shirou)

Shirou's eyes widened in astonishment as he gazed at the divine scabbard, Avalon, in his inventory. It was a relic of immense power and significance, renowned in the legends of King Arthur. The description outlined its incredible abilities, from healing wounds to warding off interference from parallel worlds and other dimensions. Even though the abilities were currently locked for Shirou, the mere presence of Avalon filled him with a sense of awe and reverence.

After the initial shock of seeing Avalon, Shirou carefully sheathed Lostvayne and stored it in his inventory. With a sense of anticipation, he opened the final system menu—the shop. As the holographic item tab appeared before him, he couldn't help but be amazed once again. The shop offered a wide array of extraordinary items, ranging from cosmic infinity stones to destructive devices like the scp-403 lighter capable of obliterating continents. However, a wave of disappointment washed over him as he realized the exorbitant prices. With only 4000 store credits at his disposal, most of the items seemed out of reach.

Determined to find something within his budget, Shirou asked the system to display only the items he could afford. To his dismay, the highest rarity available to him was a rare machete associated with a notorious serial killer. Its only notable attribute was its heightened power on the nights of Friday the 13th. Disappointed but undeterred, Shirou shifted his attention to the skill tab.

As he browsed through the available skills, Shirou noticed a particular skill priced surprisingly low—Total Concentration Breathing. Priced at 1950 credits, it promised to enhance his strength, speed, stamina, durability, and endurance through the power of focused breathing alone. This skill resonated with him, offering a significant boost to his abilities. Without hesitation, he made the purchase, instantly acquiring Total Concentration Breathing.

Before leaving the shop, the system suggested that Shirou consider purchasing a skill associated with Total Concentration Breathing. Intrigued, he explored the options presented to him, including Water Breathing and Sound Breathing. However, after careful consideration, he decided to prioritize his immediate need for damage and chose Fire Breathing. The skill cost 1650 credits, leaving him with a mere 500 credits remaining.

Skills Acquired:

Total Concentration Breathing (1/10) -

Active Cost: 200 stamina per minute

Description: Total Concentration Breathing is a technique that involves expanding one's lungs to maximize air intake, increasing blood flow, heart rate, and body temperature. This leads to heightened excitement in bones and muscles, resulting in enhanced physical performance.

Effect: Increases all physical stats by 50% while the skill is active.

Flame Breathing (1/10) - Active Cost: Varies based on form (200 to 1500 stamina/mana) Damage Depends on the user's stamina and intelligence attributes

Description: Flame Breathing is a style that imitates and harnesses the power of flames in the user's movements, techniques, and abilities. It manifests as powerful strikes that "burn" opponents and incorporates visualizations of fire manipulation. (if prana is used then fire would be real flames and make all the forms stronger)

Forms and Techniques:

First Form: Unknowing Fire - Deals 2x strength + intelligence damage and increases user speed by 50%. The user delivers a rapid, horizontal slash aimed at the target's neck.

Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun - Deals 2x strength + intelligence damage and doubles user speed and damage if executed in a quick draw. The user delivers an upward arcing vertical slash.

Third Form: Blazing Universe - Deals 4x strength + intelligence damage. The user performs a powerful downward vertical slash.

Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation - Offers no damage but increases the user's reaction time for defense. The user executes a fluid circular motion to parry incoming attacks and strike multiple targets.

Fifth Form: Flame Tiger [LOCKED] - Deals 5x strength + intelligence damage and generates a flaming tiger through sword slashes. The user dashes forward, enveloped by the fiery manifestation.

Ninth Form: Rengoku [LOCKED] - Deals 25x (strength + intelligence) damage, increases user speed by 4x, and reduces overall defense by 80%. The most powerful Flame Breathing technique, where the user charges with incredible speed, unleashing a devastating slash that can carve the ground. The technique takes the form of a flaming Japanese dragon surrounding the user.

Note: The locked forms will be accessible as Shirou progresses and gains more experience.

With his newfound skills and powerful techniques, Shirou felt a surge of confidence in his abilities. The flames of determination burned brightly within him as he prepared to face the challenges that lay ahead.

(BTW THESE SKILLS WILL PROBABLY BE THE LAST SKILLS HE UNLOCKS FOR A WHILE OTHER THAN TRACING AND STRUCTURAL ANALYSES)

(the next ch will be more about Shirou and Kiritsugu with actual fights in the form of kendo training between Shirou and Fuji-nee(he will wear something close to the blackout glasses that Gojo wears so he would be able to fight without making taiga sus on she will just think he has very pretty but sensitive eyes) also just saying this now Shirou will be home-schooled because Kiritsugu is terrified of what would happen if someone discovers Shirou mystic eyes cuz cmon he wears a blindfold and can see perfectly fine and has the most mystical looking eyes. so until he finds Touko Aozaki to make him some sort of mystic-eyes-blocking glasses.

finally, Shirou and Kiritsugu will find out Shirou's element and origin next chapter which is Kiritsugu is training him in kendo. he will have an extra 2 elements and an extra origin btw shout out to MAGIC_KAITO for the idea

I have a lot of ideas for this story that will probably mean the 5th holy grail war will probably only start on like ch 30+ of this story)
