Chapter 35: The Beginning of an Extraordinary Journey

"Iris, you can't enter that room!"

Xavier's gentle yet serious tone made Iris stop in her tracks. "You are welcome to sleep anywhere and touch anything in this house except for that room. I hope you can understand," he said, stopping a few steps away from her as their eyes locked.

Iris nodded, deciding not to push the matter further. "Alright, I won't go in there. Thank you for letting me stay in this room."

"You're welcome, Iris. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," Xavier said in a genuinely warm tone. "And you can choose clothes from those neatly arranged on the bed. Also, there are new toiletries for you to use in the bathroom." He said and walked toward the door.

"Thank you, and goodnight, Xavier," Iris said with a small smile.

"Goodnight," Xavier replied without looking back. He closed the door behind him as he left the room, leaving Iris alone with her thoughts and the mysterious black door that intrigued her.
