Chapter 5: ch. 5 Problem Solver
In the cockpit, Willie, Nick, and the co-pilot Rick as well as the flight attendant Julie, were having a meeting.
With the help of a flashlight, Rick carefully looked at the circuit diagram in his hand and frowned, "It must've been those damned reptiles that caused the short circuit. If we want to repair it, Ill need to go down to the cargo hold to check it out and repair it. We won't survive long without the oxygen being ventilated."
Nick hurriedly stopped Rick: "You can't go. It doesn't matter if you fix the plane if you die, so I'll go."
Rick stared "Do you even know how to fix an airplane?"
Nick shrugged slightly "Snakes are not humans, so how much damage can they have possibly caused. They probably just knocked out plug or chewed a wire, it should be easy to fix."
Rick snorted: "If it as you say, then everyone could repair a plane."
Willie patted Rick on the shoulder, and comforted: "As the last pilot on the plane, you really can't take risks like this. Nick, you just woke up, you should rest little, I'll go down instead."
Nick shook his head wanting to retort, Willie solemnly said: "What do you mean no? Did you forget who is the leader between us?"
Nick curled his lips "Fine great leader, just be safe, I heard there were a couple of snake down there."
"Really? I wouldn't have thought so." Willie said with a smile, sarcastically replying to Nick's joke. He picked up the walkie-talkie and his weapon of choice, a broken toilet seat, and came to the door leading into the cargo hold.
As it was being opened, several poisonous snakes were waiting inside. Willie picked up his toilet seat and started attacking the snakes severely, either killing them or forcing them to run away.
Then he observed around them with a flashlight and made sure that there were no other hidden dangers before turning his head to Nick and said, "Despite being poisoned, you've still got a job Nick. You must protect the others."
Nick nodded and said, "Don't worry, partner. By the way snakes are venomous, not poisonous" saying this, he patted Willie on the back, only to receive a scowl from Willie.
Julie spoke up at this time "Inspector Willie, If you have any questions about the cargo hold, I'll always have the walkie talkie on me."
Willy nodded and walked down the ladder step by step.
Nick said solemnly, "I'll remain in the cockpit and protect Rick. Julie the situation outside is stable, just report back to me if there is a disturbance."
Julie nodded and said: "Don't worry, Agent Nick, and i will do my best to help Inspector Willie if he needs it." She said as she left the cockpit.
Nick had Rick stay flushed against the door, not letting him get close to any compartment that could hide snakes. After waiting and waiting, there wasn't a single snake that appeared but Nicks guard wasn't lowered, he didn't know if it was the snakes mindset that affected him or the training that the origin body had, but Nick's was razor focused at all time.
As he was waiting,, a male flight attendant walked in and said softly: "Excuse me Agent, but something has gone wrong outside. You may need to take care of it."
For the flight attendant to bother him , Nick knew it had to be important, ''What's the matter?" He said as his eyes still surveyed the surrounding for danger.
The flight attendant frowned slight and said in a low voice "One of the passenger has become very hysterical, and it's riling up the other passengers. I am worried that he may affect everyone's safety, so I wanted to ask you to resolve it."
Nick frowned "There is so many people out there, they can't handle one person?". Nick remember a scene from the movies and couldn't leave Rick alone in the cockpit.
The flight attendant curled his lips "It's not that they can't do it, they won't doing it seeing as how the man is quite famous."
"Famous? Is it the rapper who pushed the ladies out of the way getting to first class?" Nick said incredulously
The flight attendant nodded.
"I knew that he was cowardly, but to cause problems now." Nick felt his venom induced headache start to pound even more.
Nick had to leave the cockpit to deal with the situation but he remembered remembered the scene were snakes started pouring into the cockpit and killed Rick.
'What if the moment that I leave is the moment that the vipers appear and attack Rick? It doesn't make sense for the snakes to randomly show up in the cockpit, could that scene really happen?'
The more Nick thought about it, the more he thinks it is possible. After all, if such a silly movie could actually take place in this world, then anything is possible.
'But the emotional stability of the passengers in the cabin is also very important. I can take on any snake, but a deranged frightened human is lot more dangerous that any snake .'
Nick thought for a moment, and said to Rick: "Rick, how about coming out and comfort the passengers with me? I'm sure it'll help put there mind at ease."
Rick thought about it, and stood up: "Now that the plane is in the autopilot mode, I guess I can go out for a stroll and move around for a bit."
The two followed the flight attendant out of the cockpit, and after arriving in the first class, they happened to see the rapper cursing and shoving people around.
"Shut the fuck up! I don't need a waitress to tell me to calm down!" The rapper yelled out
Nick coughed hard, and said to the emotional man "Excuse me passengers, how about we all calm down and sit back in our seats. We have everything under control."
"Huh? What are you talking about?" The rapper walked up to him with gritted teeth, looking down at Nick and sneered, "The fucking lights are off, and there is no oxygen. We are literally suffocating slowly. Do. You. Understand. That! You dumb fuck!"
Faced with the belligerent civlians, Nick remained completely emotionless. "Someone has already gone to repair them, and everything will be back to normal soon. Until then, I hope you can stay calm." As he was saying this, Nick was inwardly surprised.
'Wow, this snake mindset is very effective! I couldn't care less about this man shouting in my face.'
Seeing Nick calm and relaxed face, the rapper felt his veins nearly popping in anger. The rapper grabbed Nick by his collar and slammed him into the side of a seat "It's because of you fucking idiots that-"
Grabbing the man's wrist, Nick kicked his legs out from under him, and slammed him onto the floor.
"For assaulting an officer, and disorderly conductor during a crisis, I will be placing you under arrest. Whatever you say can and will..." Taking out a pair of handcuffs, Nick cuffed the man while reading his maranda rights
"Fuck you, you pig! I swear ill-" Yanking the man's head closer to his, Nicks brown eyed the turned into demonic looking snake eyes as he looked directly into the rappers eyes. ~I swear to God If you don't shut your mouth, I'll make you swallow one of those snakes and have it bite you from the inside.~ Nick whispered into the man's ear
Nick knew that what he did wasn't legal, but his pounding headache made his temper a lot shorter, and seeing as how the rapper has stopped talking, Nick thought it was worth it.
