Chapter 6: The Invitation
After he saw the teared pages, he desperately wanted to know what happened next. He picked up the book and began searching for his father, only to discover that his father was away in Ragnarok, the capital of Aslvania.
Five days later, Yubatao Senji arrived at the mansion. Kurayami rushed to his father and showed him the book, after seeing that book in Kurayami's hand, his mind filled with confusion about how he came to possess it. His heart skip a beat, That book was family secret.
Without wasting a moment, Yubatao grabbed his hand and took him to his room, instructed him to sit on the bed.
Kurayami sat down, his heart was raced, that he never saw his father with serious expression.
Yubatao took a slow deep long breath, folded his hands, and asked,
"Where did you find that book?"
Kurayami replied.
"I found this book in a secret room located within your library," silence possessed Yubatao. They look at each other's faces.
Kurayami asked his doubt without wasting time in silence.
"Father, tell me, are humans our enemies or our allies?" he asked with a gloomy voice, looking down at the ground.
After hearing it Yubatao gave a little side smile and unfolded his hands, walked towards the window, and raised his hand to rub his hair.
"So, you've read that book, huh? You're quite fast and a good reader," he chuckled softly.
suddenly Kurayami,
"Father, answer me! Are humans our enemies or allies?" Kurayami demanded.
Yubatao answered,
"That book was a secret account of how the Great War started. Thirteen Bloodline only knows about that book and history, It has been passed down through generations and kept as a secret."
"But i barely remember once my father told me about the last word from the demon king, 'Protect our citizens, save the nation, make demon nation as beautiful nation at all cost'. After his last word, nobody able to witness him."
"Humans are truly good creatures now. They are not the same as before. Even though I don't know what happened After Chapter 8, I wonder what happened to the Demon King. Perhaps The Demon king himself only knows the truth."
"Then why was it kept a secret?" Kurayami asked.
"Just because the Demon King requested it. Lord Athur asked to preserve this truth within the bloodlines and protect our nation in his place. Those were his last words. And since then, no one knows where he is, whether he is alive or dead. Nobody knows."
"Don't worry, like I said, humans are lovable and adorable creatures. There may be some exceptions, but you shouldn't worry about them, you will love them. " Yubatao said with sparkling smile.
"Father, if this book has been passed down through our generations, why didn't you tell me about it?" Kurayami asked, looking at his father intently.
"Oh... that... that's because we thought you are not mature enough to learn about this true. But I think I was wrong. Since you found the book yourself, there is nothing to hide. Keep it as a family secret, okay? Only thirteen bloodlines know about this secret."
"If that humans are really good now, I am relieved. Father, I will keep this secret and pass it down to the next generation."
Kurayami's doubt has been cleared, but he doesn't come to know what happened after chapter 8 but he didn't regret it.
"Hmm, good boy. Come, let's go and have lunch together."
Kurayami and his father went to have lunch with their beloved family.
In the warm embrace of the midday sun, they gathered around the table, their stomachs growling in anticipation. Delicious aromas wafted through the air, making their mouths water with eagerness. Maid Teresa and her helpers serve the food. One by one, they picked up their forks, ready to savor the delectable feast before them.
After the satisfying meal, they felt a sense of contentment washing over them. After finishing their meal, Theresa came near to Yubatao and said, 'Master, there is a person waiting for you in the hall.'
Yubatao went to see him. It was a person wearing a black and golden coat, resembling a butler, who appeared. He is a butler from the duke's house and came to deliver a letter to the Senji bloodline. He greeted Yubatao, and Yubatao welcomed him. The butler handed over the letter and took his leave.
Yubatao opened the letter with a mysterious look in his eyes. He didn't know what was inside the letter, but he read it silently in his mind.
A calm chill ran down his spine as he looked at his family. He was both excited and worried, and he said,
"Get ready. We have been invited to a Bloodline gathering at the Duke's house this weekend." He shared this news with his family members.
Yoko Senji, upon hearing this wonderful news, became excited. Every girl in the bloodline was her friend.
Yubatao, however, looked concerned, not about the other family heads, but about their children. He didn't know what would happen.
Only time would tell, let's wait and see what is going to happen in Bloodline gathering.
