Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Giantess
Zaine is all alone in the safe zone. He wanders around the empty mall, going around and salvaging the little provisions left. He heard a sound coming from the Adventurer's Guild.
Amy pops her head from under the table. She was also left behind...
"Amy, what are you doing here?!" Zaine slams his hand on the receptionist's table.
"What do you mean what I am doing here? I am the receptionist, the one that is running this business in the safe zone." Said Amy to Zaine.
Zaine reminds himself that Amy is probably an NPC created by the game. However, she still has human emotions and feelings.
"Amy," Zaine pauses. "All the people here are gone, it is just you and me, and I don't think anyone will come here anymore."
Amy goes outside her little Adventurer's Guild and looks around the place. Indeed, she did not see anyone anymore. She went back and looked at Zaine.
"You are right! Where did they all go?! Amy started panicking as she ran all over, searching for people.
After a few minutes of Amy running, she ran out of breath and went to the Adventurer's Guild. Zaine greeted her and explained the situation to her.
"Amy, the people have been evacuated to a safer place than here. They left just a few moments ago."
...
"Huh?! They left me alone?" Amy goes back behind her counter, sulking and pouting. She thinks about what she will do now. If what Zaine said was correct, no one would be coming there anymore.
Zaine saw the now depressed Amy. He feels the need to cheer her up. Without thinking, he accidentally blurts out the first thing he thought of.
"Amy.. Do you want to come with me?" Zaine pauses as he realizes what he just said. "Uhm, I mean, no, never mind."
Amy's face lit up as she jumps out of her chair.
"That's it! I can go with you," After pausing a bit, Amy thinks. This is going to be the first time she ever went out. "However, Zaine, I still have quests to offer to people here. I can not just leave here, abandoning my job."
Zaine is a skillful and trustable person. He wanted to take Amy along with him.
"Isn't it fine? No one will ever come here anyway." Zaine's words were harsh but the truth.
Amy thinks about it and finally agrees. She packed her stuff with her magic bag, which made it easy to carry.
"I will go with you until we come across another safe zone with people."
"I know! Maybe we can go where the people before went to. Avalon, right?" Said Amy, already thinking about the far future ahead.
"Come on, let's go, Zaine!" Amy walked towards the exit of the safe zone.
A notification pops up.
{You are not permitted to go out}
"Huh? Why can I not go out?" Amy pushed through the barrier, refusing to budge.
Amy thought about it. What isn't permitting her to go outside? After a few minutes, she came up with a possible solution, maybe if the limited quests are completed, she can go.
Zaine is currently stuck at level 35, with the giant farm on the giantess den producing only a tiny amount of experience because of the level gap between Zaine's and the Giant's levels.
Realizing that the den is already useless to him, he thinks of killing the boss deep inside. Zaine told Amy about this, and he decided to excuse himself to go and defeat the boss while leveling a bit until level 40 to take on the Orc Lord's quest to set Amy free from the safe zone.

Zaine summons a giant and commands it to run to the giantess den. Within around fifteen minutes, he arrives. He watches the same monsters he had summoned bowing themselves to Zaine, recognizing him as their master.
The experience growth in the game went up exponentially from level to level. With the current level, it would take Zaine around 6 hours to gain one level.
He went to the den, recognizing the place from the goblin he summons before. The place was empty. The Giants have been long gone, allowing him to walk in and reach the boss's room.

"Yes! Let's get it done!" Zaine pressed Yes
Zaine teleports inside the cave, torches surrounding the place lit up, revealing a Giantess sitting on her throne, looking menacingly at Zaine.
The giantess looks very formidable, nothing like the enemies Zaine has fought before. Its size, reaching well over 10 meters, with the strength to make a small earthquake.

Zaine summoned an army of giants, using the souls he got while farming the place alongside a few Ents to try and restrain its movement to stall for time for his mana to regenerate.
The giantess fought with her bare hands, using them to punch the enemies straight to the ground, crushing them. She also uses a skill, which causes the giantess to have slight control over the ground element, allowing it to bend the earth.
The fight starts slow, with the giantess still sitting down, watching Zaine as he summons monsters.
The giants ran towards her alongside the Ents, swinging the club while the Ent rooted her arms and legs, attempting to hurt the giantess and stall for time.
The giantess stopped in her tracks and began to stand up, starting to fight back, punching the giants while also receiving small amounts of damage.

Her movement is slowed. Nonetheless, every strike she deals with is as deadly to the monsters as before.
She lifts its hand and punches it towards the ground, bending the earth around it and sending monsters around it flying back.
