Chapter 25: New Girl, Melissa!

The sun ushered in a new day as Milane entered the workplace, and it wasn't long before the HR manager was introducing her to the new secretary, Melissa, in the CEO's office.

"Morning, Milane. This is Melissa. You might recall her from the interview. She'll be starting her first day today. I trust you to help her settle in," the HR manager informed her.

"Of course, Steve! I'll make sure she gets acquainted. See you later!" Milane replied with a friendly nod.

With a warm smile, Milane shifted her attention to Melissa. The young woman, fresh out of her ivy league university, exuded an air of innocence and quiet charm, the very picture of a girl-next-door. Milane couldn't help but wonder how she would withstand the demands of their enigmatic CEO, Lucas. After all, Milane herself had navigated her fair share of challenges under his direction.
